Mic Drop Experience! The place is amazing! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, food service was quick, food was great, I mean really great! It was clean, including the restrooms. I was in Tel Aviv 2 weeks ago and my falafel pita tonight was as good as what I had there...and I was taken to what I was told was the best they had to offer! The complimentary sides were fully stocked and delicious. Their hummus was smooth, creamy and fresh. I gave 5 stars because they, once again, EARNED EVERY ONE! And initially, I was disappointed when the place I was planning to meet friends for dinner was closed, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful mixed grill platter that I was served at Pita Plus. Four of us had a variety of different foods which included the schnitzel and the falafel as well as my meat platter. All of the food was exceptional. This is restaurant when you go up and order and then bring your food to the table, if you're eating in. While this is not my favorite model for a restaurant, it works well here. And it works because the people behind the counter are enthusiastically wonderful. From the person that takes your order to the person that cooks it to the person who prepares your sides and finally the person who gets you your drinks and takes your money, everybody was so kind and friendly that it just made me happy to be here. I had high expectations based on the reviews that I met and it was so nice to find out that they fulfilled all of them. This is great comfort food. The meat as well as the sides and the salads was all wonderful. I really love this place and I will be back. read more

I miss the old version: orange diner booths where you could see everyone in town, shawarma without turkey, Israeli cable tv. The food is still freshly made to order; but the family atmosphere is gone. It's mostly take out now. And shawarma with turkey is not nearly as good. read more

In person this is a 5 star experience. Service is swift and the food is hyper fresh, like grown in heaven's garden fresh, but such is the Kosher experience in general. I've had the mixed grill kabab, hummus, and falafel, hand cut fries and all are divine. The help yourself pickle bar is a thing of pure palette tingling indulgence that I am truly appreciative of. The prices are a bit heavy but as an occasional indulgence of superior quality with 2 meal worthy portions sizes, it's an absolutely justifiable investment. read more

So, if you follow my reviews, you would know that I was spending a lot of time in Nevada, specifically, the Las Vegas / Henderson / Summerlin areas... AND?! If you know me by now - if I check in to a place AND I don't review - most of the time, its because I really did not have a great thing to write... With all of the above - OMGosh - I have been craving an authentic shawarma sandwich - well, since I had a not so great one, and I wanted to validate that I actually knew what shawarma was... AND?! Pita Plus - is 100% the real deal ... everything in it... tasted the shawarma separately - everything was just insanely delicious.. I also had probably the best kibbe that I have had in years and years AND the grape leaves - were bar none.. The service there was superb and the atmosphere was large enough that you could have a party if you wanted without feeling it was toooo large. I have not been to this place since well, the old location, and that was many many many moons ago - So happy I got my breakfast, lunch, and dinner here tonight and it was just so excellent - I wanted to sign on and sing their praises... Updating from my previous reviews: - the shawarma meat is turkey, not lamb - the server this time did not know how to construct the sandwich ($18) such that each bite had both meat and salad. A big minus for me. After the few pieces of tomato and cucumber on top, it was meat all the way down - budget tip: the shawarma platter ($25) is extremely generous and comes with a loaded plate of salad/sides and a generous portion of meat. It can easily feed two, so just ask for an extra pita and make your own sandwiches. This is a much better deal than getting two sandwiches. read more

Since my first and only prior visit, eight years ago, Pita Plus' quality and pricing both appear to have gone in unfavorable directions. I'd been eager to come back here, hoping for a similar experience to my first trip and also hoping to re-live a couple of food moments I'd had on a recent trip to Israel. However... Problem #1: What I'd ordered was a "chicken shishkebab" pita, and what I got was not that. A shish kebab is, by definition, skewered (that's what 'sis' means in Turkish) grilled meat, whereas what I got were grilled chicken tenders, with no skewer involved. Not a big deal, but language is kind of important, plus it's always nice to be able to get what you think you ordered. Problem #2: The tenders were overcooked to the point of being tough, dry, and an unenjoyable chore to eat. Problem #3: Everything was under-seasoned. The sandwich was completely bland. Problem #4: A couple of hours after returning home, I found myself nauseated and reaching for the Pepto Bismol (something that rarely happens to me). Problem #5: The whole unfortunate experience cost $17+ (with tax, without a beverage), which is a lot for a modestly sized sandwich. On the plus side, service was friendly, and typically I'd award a star or two for that, but this particular meal was irredeemably bad. read more

I always forget to review this place and I work around the corner. I guess it's just been a staple that I don't think about but I should show it the attention it deserves. Been going forever and it's been one of the most consistent things in my eating life . It never lets me down and is clean good and fresh . The service is great cause you order at the counter and you can see them make it . The owner is always there and if you look lost he will notice and ask what's wrong lol . I think that's amazing about the place . The shawarma is great and chicken is on point. Everything else is your standard Mediterranean standards . They could use some more option on desserts besides some baklavas but I guess it's just a lunch place . The parking is sometimes a problem and lunch rush can be a little bottlenecked but the line moves fast . Overall great food . read more

Dinner at a great price. Falafel pita with your choice of yummy sides. The pita is light and fluffy filled with 4 tasty falafel balls, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce sautéed eggplant. Falafel, anything really, put it a laffa and fill it with all the salads, tahini, hummus, zhug (spicy), check out then fill some little cups up at their bar of pickled veggies, peppers and pickles! I have been eating at Pita Plus's Aventura and Dania Beach locations for decades. The last few times were at Dania. I love their meats, falafels and fresh French fries. Today I had the Shwarma right off the spit. . They have fresh veggies accouterments to choose from and want in the sandwich. French fries freshly cut. Shwarma meat is nice and juicy and they pack in a lot of meat and veggies on the whole wheat pita bread. But today I experienced sticker shock. A shwarma, fries and a small bottle of coke cost me $26. Are you kidding? Just a few weeks ago it was $20. This was wwwaaayyy overpriced to the point of ridiculousness. This favorite restaurant of mine may have lost a longtime customer due to the exorbitant prices now. A $15 shwarma...nope. There is a point when you have to say no and goodbye to the business. We stopped in last night after hearing so many good things about Pita Plus. They were very busy. We could see people waiting for take out and some being served for orders to eat in. The man behind the counter took our order right away. I was suprised at how fast we were taken care of. We both ordered the Shawarma plate. It came with pita, and they gave us all of the sides. My daughter likes the eggplant best. Everything was very fresh and good quality. Pita Plus was clean and well organized. The staff were accomodating. I've passed this place so many times... glad I was searching for Pitas while in the area and it popped up. I definitely ate with my eyes because i ordered so much food it saved me a few days of cooking.. there's only 2 of us, me and hubby. I ordered two pits and two plates with everything... the image shows less items, i added more- Small side of Tahini sauce, an order of grape leaves wrapped around rice- i had to google this.. reportedly its called Yaprak Sarma.. it's called Grape Leaves with rice on the menu. I like it.. no i loved it all! Here it is- my take why I give it 5 stars: * Fresh variety of salads. * Good serving sizes on the proteins. * pickled veggies available via condiment bar- turnips, cabbage and cucumber. Because i love lamb and fresh not overly cooked veggies.. the salad sides that come with the plates and in the Pita order (should you want it) was well worth it for me...when asked what do you want in your pita.. i said.. "Hook me up" he did, it WAS GOOD! Servers are fast, lines are long, and cashier lady was super nice! Asked whether i needed pickles to go... heck ya! HOOK ME UP :) Good for groups, families or quick bite if your on lunch break.
