Desserts were the GF chocolate torte and baclava, the latter of which was pleasantly more infused with cinnamon than expected. Ambiance was uniquely achieved through older 40's/50's music amidst the background of a 1920's era building that harkens back to 100 years ago when it may have been a theater or store.

We were surprised when a woman asked abruptly without a kind greeting if we had reservations. Which we did. She was further annoyed at us that we were early. I understood as a couple other groups arrived right before us as she was the only one taking care of customers. But the attitude was very poor. Once we were seated, we waited for quite awhile to get a drink order in plus an appetizer. Mind you the restaurant was not very full. We received the drinks and appetizer, stuffed mushrooms which were good. We ordered our meals-beef stroganoff and Chicken Marsala . They were good but other restaurants in town are better. Once finished we waited and waited and waited. After 30 minutes of waiting, I as got up to find our server whom I didn't find. I asked another server for our check. He said he'd have her bring it out. After another 10 minutes we still did not see her in the restaurant. I got up again to find the other server. Who rudely told me that "she knows and will get the check to you!" Hmm, I sure wanted to walk out! We felt like prisoners in this restaurant. Needless to say I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you like to be in and out within 3 hours. Too bad as the atmosphere was pretty good. Old but nice.

The atmosphere is an appropriate preparation for the aperitifs and appetizers, which I recommend (especially during happy hour!). Here for my first time because my partner had an excellent dinner recently, both of us enjoyed our way through the appetizers and cocktail menu. We only skipped the mains because of an interest in dessert. Here's the other surprise: the crème brûlée would have been worth the visit on its own. Whether you're a visitor to Wenatchee or a local, a visit to this established but under-advertised restaurant will be a delight!

She was very nice but not very attentive due to being the only one greeting and serving. We also could hear one of the cooks complaining about personnel issues while waiting for our dinner. The food was not like any Italian food I've ever had. We ordered the artichoke dip and it was lacking flavor to say the least. I had the spicy rigatoni because I normally like the spicy sauces, but I expected a tomato based sauce and that is not what it ended up being. It had a very strange flavor like brown sugar and cinnamon. My husband had the filet mignon which he said was very salty and the best thing in the plate was the spinach. This was so overpriced for what it was. I would not recommend eating here if you're looking for an Italian cuisine.

But it's clean, and even the restroom (which I usually avoid mentioning) was way better than I expected: tidy floors, no crazy smells, everything in order. That already set a good vibe. I ordered a smoothie first--berry, $6. Pricey? A little. Worth it? Totally. Thick, fruity, cold, and not watered down like some spots do. Then came the pita: I loaded it up with grilled chicken, crisp veggies, and a mix of sauces. The wrap came out warm, packed, and still held together when I bit in (huge plus). Flavor? Light, fresh, and actually satisfying without the heavy "fast-food regret." The staff kept things moving. They weren't trying to oversell or force smiles, just efficient and polite--which is exactly what you want when you're hungry. Is this the kind of place you linger for atmosphere? Not really. It's not a cozy café. But for a quick stop where food feels fresh and made right, this hits the spot. Final call: 5 stars. Not because it's glamorous, but because it nailed what I came for--clean, fast, fresh, and no regrets. I'll be back.
