The visit started with us showing up to a store lit up but doors locked. Confused we walked around to another entrance. Locked. Frustrated after driving 40 minutes we started reviewing other area options. After 15-20 minutes the door is suddenly unlocked. Hmmm. Do we bother? Well, we bothered. The owner was very friendly, and the place was clean. What broke my heart was no lamb on a spit for slicing. The meat was ok but lacking the flavor I miss. The baklava....most uninteresting version ever and clearly a manufactured product. Only worth the price if it is made fresh. If you are looking for any other food items you are out of luck. Sadly, It was just ok.Not worth a drive to get there.

Parking is along one side of the street and there are not many spaces available. We were able to find a spot on the opposite corner. Walking is pretty easy along the street or on the sidewalk. I did not notice any handicapped spaces, and there are two steps up to the door so be aware. Walking in the door of the small interior, the ordering counter is to the left with a small table seating area on the right. The menu was on the counter. The staff were very friendly and let us know the specials. We placed our order and then went outside to the small outdoor seating area on the side of the building. Our food was brought out to us in a little over five minutes. We had ordered the gyro sandwich and the taste of Crete sampler. The gyro sandwich had a good amount of meat along with fresh veggies. The pita was soft and held the ingredients together well. The overall taste was a mix of flavorful meat and fresh ingredients, an excellent representation of what a gyro should be. The Taste of Crete sampler provided a quick culinary tour of Crete, with gyro meat, a salad, hummus, and a cucumber salad. It even comes with a piece of baklava for dessert. Again, the gyro meat was very good, the pita fresh and soft, and the salad fresh and crisp. The cucumber salad was refreshing on a reasonably warm day. The hummus was amazingly good. It was extremely garlicky and bold. My dining partner and I had to negotiate who would get the last bite. The owner and all the staff were friendly and eager to show off their offerings. Everything we had was wonderful and provided a magnificent lunch respite. This is truly a hidden gem and well worth the small effort required to partake of their hospitality.

We started the evening scouring the menu for tonight's choices and settled on pierogies and falafel for an appetizer. The warm pierogies with potato and cheese filling had the right amount of creamy texture with the perfect crunch. The falafel with tahini and garlic sauce completed the appetizer. I saved some of the tahini sauce to have with the falafel wrap. The pita bread filled with falafel and veggies, accompanied by a side of tahini sauce, was the perfect balance for an evening meal. I noticed quite a few people coming in for dessert, which included the cheesecake. Admittedly, I was too full to enjoy the cheesecake at the restaurant, so I ordered a baklava cheesecake to go. It was amazing! The crunchiness of the sweet baklava paired with the cheesecake is a perfect balance to the tanginess of the cheesecake. The quality of ingredients and flavors used are perfect in every dish. The selection of food choices is hand-selected and crafted to perfection. Phenomenal restaurant! I felt like I was back in the Mediterranean enjoying a great evening meal.
