I could feel aaaall my senses completely awake every time I tasted this super food! The lettuce,…read morethe meat it was like they just picked it few mins before and prepared the food! Wow! So fresh and delicious! It was a bit hard to find the restaurant because I expected "The Donkey Shed Restaurant" name on the road, but you have to go into the New barn Farm. (Green sign) and they have a market as well, you can see the chickens and other beautiful and well cared animals behind the fence. The kids love it. I'll go back again and again and again! I was a bit escepticle, the menu didn't interest me much, but wow!! I left there reeeaally happy!!!

Food was delivered incredibly quickly and they were able to seat a large family in a few minutes even though it was jammers. It was a while since we got the food so I can't remember what kind of burger I got (no wifi/data as we were in the sticks soo only seeing on Yelp now) but it was loaded with cheese and had a massive amount of meat. The ribs looked to die for, as you might be able to see by an earlier review posted with a picture. They were insanely good! I had a small taste and almost started drooling from how juicy and succulent it tasted! Along with the amazing food there is a little space outside that sells fresh veg and a small pen with little animals kept. Very family friendly environment!

I have been into "The Eating House" so many times now, and I absolutely love it!…read more I have tried about a third of the menu, and so far everything has been super tasty. The food is amazing, the organic coffee is wonderful, the staff are awalys welcoming, there are loads of gluten free and sugar free options, the special's are interesting, and the soup, the Mexican Queen burger and the carrotcake are simply the best versions I have ever tasted. I have been into the cafe by myself, with my partner, have recommended it to friends and family members, and soon will be bringing family in for lunch! Food = FANTASTIC! Staff = wonderful, happy to help, and friendly Athmosphere = warm and welcoming Location = central, just off the main street Parking = does not have it's own designated parking but there is street parking nearby, (Blessington is not great for parking overall) Bathroom = clean and quirkey (in terms of decor) Price = very affordable, good value for the amount and quality of the food Environmental impact (new addition to my reviews going forward) = LOW! "The Eating House" is a vegan cafe so it uses no animal products, the napkins are made from recycled materials, the takeaway boxes are made from carboard, part of the interior decoration is recycled wood, the staff are local, and the produce used to make the wonderful food is sourced locally! Extras = the cafe is in an historic building (lovely to see it being used rather than fading into ruin), there is a takeaway menu, and the cafe is work friendly i.e. there are sockets for charging devices if working from the cafe.

The food is delicious (we had homity pie and some pancakes) and the atmosphere is downright cozy. They are attentive to COVID protocols and we felt totally safe eating in. The service was excellent. Great for plant-based peeps! (4/5 Green Stars) Have been…read moregoing to Bare Food for a few years now and by brother is a regular there. If you need convincing of the bare food ethos (explained on their website) then just try their scone. It's vegan and made with dried fruit and nuts to replace the refined sugar that you'll normally encounter. It's definitely more nutritious than a regular scone and also won't result in a sugar crash. Anyway, the food and coffee at Bare Food don't disappoint and staff members are always friendly. Café seating, both inside and in the laneway, is comfy. A good place to spend some time. I'm giving Bare Food 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons: · Lots of vegan and vegetarian options (veggie sausage, tofu can sub for chicken in most dishes, vegan pastries, vegan butter). Eating a mostly plant-based diet is the #1 thing you can do to save the planet. · Tea is from Tea Pigs (a B-Corporation, plant-based packaging, member of ethical tea partnership) and coffee is from 8thCorner (sometimes organic) · Kombucha from SynerChi, made from organic tea in Donegal. Smoothies are made fresh, to order. · Compostable cups, but I do wish they could provide ceramic and glass for customers who sit out in the lane (A strange rule for Covid, I guess, even though it's not spread by touch). · Would like to see organic food, or some info about sourcing on the menu.

My husband and I came into the cafe while we were on vacation in the area. I got the chocolate…read moreporridge and he got the full irish breakfast. My porridge was excellent-- chocolatey, but not too sweet, and I loved the hazelnut drizzle, banana and see topping (we've replicated the recipe a couple of times since coming home). My husband's meal was also good (although not great, hence 4 stars instead of 5). The cafe's atmosphere was lovely and our server was kind and very attentive. If we're ever in the area, we will be back! It's a worthwhile stop in Drogheda.
