I'd recommend either the freshly baked chicken pocket or the mixed pocket (beef/chicken). The…read morechicken pocket is only $11 bucks, and one pocket fed two of us. The portion is huge. I could detect a little cinnamon in the chicken. Garlic sauce wasn't overpoweringly garlicky. Pocket remained crisp despite the sauciness lurking beneath the crust. The wraps are more reasonable in size. I also hear the four cheese pocket ($5.99) is good as well. There are two other places nearby, but the freshness and service is far better at Beirut Bakery. The owners are very friendly.

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, especially about a food I genuinely love. Chicken shawarma…read moreis one of my favorite meals and I've tried it at many restaurants across the area. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. The pricing was the first shock. Two large chicken shawarmas and a small order of fries came to nearly $65. Even two medium shawarmas without fries would have been around $45. In my opinion, those prices are extremely difficult to justify. More importantly, the food itself did not live up to the hype. The shawarma was edible and filling, but it was far from one of the better shawarmas I've had. Given the restaurant's popularity and the amount of praise it receives online, I expected something exceptional. Instead, I found it average at best. For the price, the quality simply wasn't there. It wasn't worth the cost, the wait, or the expectations created by the marketing and reviews. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

We got hummus topped with shawarma, a babaghanouj, a hummus, garlic paste, Shish tawook plate, and veggies for dipping. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The portions were also hearty. They packed everything nicely as well. The standouts for me were the babaghanouj and garlic paste. The hummus with shawarma was excellent also, especially since it had a generous amount of meat on top. The Greek salad that came with the kabob was also very good. This was our favorite meal during our trip to Canada, despite being a delivery. Definitely check it out if you are seeking great Lebanese cuisine.
