The lamb sausage in particular has a fantastic spicy flavor with cilantro flowers on top, giving you a great smell on every bite on top of an excellent texture that elevates the entire pizza. While I enjoyed the Napoletana, it came off as very olive forward over everything else. The menu says it has anchovies and I can't say I noticed their flavor or could even see them on the pizza. Both pizza still tasted amazing and I'm excited to return and try the entire menu!

The burrata was creamy and savory. The hot honey added sweetness and pleasant heat. I liked that they serve the honey separately, so you have full control of how much honey you actually want to drizzle on your pizza. The pizza is topped off with fresh basil leaves, oregano, chili flakes and aged parmesan. Everything came together very well. Lastly, their pizzas are sized perfectly. Enough to share, but if you're super hungry or eating only 1 meal for the day, it's enough for an individual as well. Only thing is price is on the higher end, but given the location, the quality ingredients and house-made nature of their pizzas, I think it's worth it as a treat from time-to-time.

Our table was along the walkway, which wouldn't necessarily be my first choice next time, but I appreciated that they got us settled without making us wait around. The outdoor area had a relaxed neighborhood feel, and it was nice being outside while the evening was warm. We started with the Fiori di Zucca. The squash blossoms were stuffed with ricotta and Parmigiano, lightly fried, and served with marinara. They were good, although they weren't the dish I found myself thinking about afterward. That honor goes to the mussels. I wasn't expecting them to be my favorite thing we ordered, but they absolutely were. The broth was flavorful enough that I kept going back to it after the mussels were gone, which is usually my personal test for whether a mussel dish has done its job. We also shared the Pappardelle alla Vaccinara with braised oxtail ragù, Parmigiano, and rosemary oil. The ragù had a deep, meaty flavor, and I liked how the rosemary oil cut through some of the richness. It was a solid pasta, but the mussels still won the night for me. My cocktail was light and refreshing, with cucumber and mint, and worked especially well with dinner outside. Everything we ordered was flavorful, and the meal made for a lovely belated birthday dinner. Parking around this stretch of 3rd can be a little tricky. I ended up finding street parking a few blocks away, but Oste does offer valet, which would have saved me the neighborhood parking hunt. For a first visit, I'm glad I finally got to try Oste. It was a relaxed, flavorful dinner and a really nice way to celebrate a belated birthday.

However, I would come back again to try the other pizzas. Note: Market Pizza is located in a back patio surrounded by Jackson Place (apartments for rent) and Jackson Market (historic neighborhood cafe and deli). Follow map directions - you'll second guess yourself at first if you park on the main street because Market Pizza and Jackson Market are part of the neighborhood itself and are not surrounded by your typical commercial businesses. It's a soothing environment for brunch with draping vegetation and cute furniture. Beware of flies during daytime. The store itself only had two people working (one person mostly taking orders and one person mostly cooking) so it took a while to make the pizza because the wood fired oven isn't necessarily humongous and there were several people who had ordered before us. No buzzer so if you decide to wander around or if your table is out of earshot, you'll have to check in as they verbally call orders. I had no idea when my order was coming up but they were friendly about me checking in whenever I walked up.

And he told me where in the most annoyed voice. And I said thank you and left. This is the most unprofessional the outright rude way I have ever been spoken to.
