We sat at the bar, it was a Friday night about 815 when we got there and we watched the game and ate and left by 910. We will definitely go back and I highly recommend this place

We have zero sense of direction, everything feels vaguely ominous, and we didn't exactly come for a leisurely getaway--we rushed down to Texas because my dad is dealing with a serious medical situation. So the mission is clear: get to my parents' house and help my mom. That's it. Survival mode, but make it family-focused. Then--plot twist--my sister and nephew call. They want to see us and casually mention they'll bring pizza. Now listen... in any other circumstance, I might pause. Ask questions. Do research. Vet the pizza situation like a responsible adult. But in this moment? Free food is free food, and emotionally exhausted people do not ask follow-up questions. So we say yes. And yet, there's hesitation. Because we are in this town. This mysterious, slightly cinematic, possibly haunted-feeling Texas town. And I don't know what a "local pizza place" means here. Are we talking hidden gem? Or regret wrapped in melted cheese? They arrive. Boxes in hand. No turning back now. We open them... and immediately--plot twist #2. It's actually really good. Like, not "oh this will do" good. Not "we're hungry so we'll pretend it's fine" good. No--this is legitimately solid pizza. Fresh, hot, clearly made with real ingredients and actual effort. Cheese, a fully-loaded "works" situation, and one mystery pizza that I didn't fully identify but enthusiastically ate anyway. And I didn't just have a polite slice. I went back. Multiple times. For all of them. They tell us it's a local chain and one of the best in the area, and honestly? I believe them. Whatever low expectations I walked in with were completely unnecessary. End result: pleasantly surprised, slightly humbled, and very well-fed. Would absolutely eat it again--especially under less emotionally chaotic circumstances, but honestly... it held up even under those. That's saying something.

This is the best locally owned pizza restaurant in the city…read more Where do I even begin? There's so much positive to say about this pizza restaurant. Let's start with the owner. She is amazing and makes the most delicious pizzas. Very rarely. Not only is it rare to have a female-owned business but to have a black female owned business in East Texas? It's almost impossible to find. The pizzas as you can see for my photos. They are loaded from end to end with toppings. One thing I hate about a pizza is when a restaurant skimps on toppings. You will never have to worry about topps Pizza skimping out on toppings. It doesn't matter what you order the meat lovers, pepperoni, the cheeseburger pizza, the chicken. Alfredo, they will all be loaded with the perfect amount of toppings, sauce and cheese. The pizzas will be baked perfectly. My absolute favorite is that they allow you to do half and half pizzas. That's perfect for somebody like me who loves to try different pizzas but doesn't want to commit to a whole pizza just in case I don't like it. It's also perfect for families with picky kids because they can each choose the pizza they want. There's no extra cost to order a half and half pizza and that is really unheard of nowadays. Most restaurants want to nickel and you to death but not here. Topps Pizza is definitely a hidden gem in town and I highly recommend them. Some people complain about the price but compared to national chain restaurant the price is just fine for the quality of food you're getting.

When I received it at my hotel, it was not crispy at all and very doughy. I ended up eating the pizza that the hotel got from Pizza Hut and that was much more crispy and it was not even a thin crust pizza. I called and the owner called me back and they said they would reimburse me some. They ended up giving me $10 back out of $22 and all that was eaten between me and a coworker were three pieces. I think I should've got more of a refund than that. I will never order again. The owner even came to the hotel to look at the pizza and deliver me less than half of the price I paid.

From the moment we walked in, the service was so warm and welcoming I briefly considered asking our server to adopt me. They didn't just take our order -- they guided us through it like a trusted pasta life coach. Questions were answered with enthusiasm, recommendations were spot-on, and our drinks were never empty (hydration is important when you're weeping tears of joy over ravioli). Now let's talk about the food. The pasta was so fresh I'm fairly certain it had a birth certificate dated that morning. The sauce? Rich, velvety, and clearly made by someone who understands that garlic is measured with the heart. The hot fresh rolls had that perfect balance of crispy and chewy -- the kind of rolls that makes you reconsider all other breads in your life. Every bite tasted like it was crafted by a nonna who would absolutely scold you for not having thirds. It was comforting, indulgent, and just fancy enough to make me sit up straighter while eating. In summary: great service, amazing food, zero regrets. I came hungry and left planning my next visit. If loving this restaurant is wrong, I don't want to be al dente.

It's…read morekinda like a small mom & pop version of CiCi's Pizza, in that you have a pizza buffet, a salad bar, & a nice place to sit. I've never seen them very busy, so the other tables are usually empty. The personal service is great, tho! They ask if you'd like any specific kind of pizza, & then they make sure to make it for you. For my 2nd visit, they remembered what I ordered on my first visit, so they asked if that's what I wanted this time. So nice of them to remember! The restroom is a one-seater room, & may still be kinda funky when flushing, or have some weird request that you not flush the paper. But, hello, this is America! I'm not in a 3rd-world country, & I'm not gonna flush like there's 3rd-world plumbing! That was really my only complaint. I did enjoy the food. I ordered their vegetarian-friendly pizzas like the veggie pizza, spinach alfredo pizza, & cheese pizzas. They also had great cheesy breadsticks & great dessert (either apple pie pizza or brownies). I'd definitely go back for the food & the friendly service.

Adolfo's Pizza, named Adolfo after the owner's son, is indeed a localized copy of CiCi's Pizza…read more There is a salad bar before getting to the pizza and pasta section of the buffet serving area. The salad bar has a variety of items to add to the lettuce mix. I had always assumed they didn't have bacon bits for the salad until I saw them in a large sugar shaker dispenser with the flatware and crackers. The employees are trained to ask for special requests. I have also seen the employees discard old pizza that had been under the heated buffet serving line instead of expecting the customer to take what they had available. There are several arcade video games lining the far wall of the restaurant and a coin-operated pool table. Like all buffet-style restaurants, the food is better when it is fresh. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Although special requests are encouraged, I don't take advantage of this perk when I go half an hour before closing time.
