Latitude 48 - The steak was clearly sous vied. The most tender steak I've ever tasted.

Latitude 48 restaurant, named after its approximate coordinates, is described as "fine dining" on…read moreits website, but in my experience, it actually serves upscale foods in a casual atmosphere with above-average pricing. It serves farm-to-table foods, particularly exotic meats such as alligator, bison, boar, duck, elk, goat, and wagyu. Other menu items include more common meats such as chicken and seafoods such as trout and lobster tail. It also has a full bar serving wines, beers, and spirits. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We wore jeans with nicer shirts. The seating hostess and the waiter performed their jobs well. Our waiter brought an amuse-bouche of reuben egg rolls (5 stars), which were crispy and tangy and we really enjoyed, as well as focaccia bread (4 stars), which tasted good but could have been warmer. For my appetizer, I ordered the Wagyu Tacos (4.5 stars), corn tortillas filled with Japanese A5 Wagyu, cilantro-lime crema, tomato relish, and chipotle puree in a corn tortilla. These tacos were messy to eat but tasted very good. My husband ordered the Corn Fritters (4 stars) with cilantro-lime crema and tomato jam. My main course was the Bison Filet Mignon (4 stars), which I ordered mid-rare but could have been juicier. It came with sides of corn relish, asparagus, and purple-potato puree that could have been creamier. My husband's main course was the Prosciutto-wrapped Chicken Breast (3.5 stars), which my husband ate and said was alright. He particularly liked the flavorful peppers. His other sides were wild rice and zucchini. For dessert, I followed the waiter's recommendation for the Tiramisu (4.5 stars), which was moist and had a good balance between the coffee and sweet flavors. At the end of our meal, the waiter brought warm, lemon-scented, wet towels. The total price for our meal was $183 plus a tip. My husband and I thought that the foods overall tasted good but did not quite match the price point.

First the phone lines were down and it was posted on Facebook. I seen that as not a problem. I stopped and placed order in person. When I arrived maybe 8 people staggered inside and out all waiting on their orders. I ordered 12" Sicilian pepperoni, breadsticks and cheese quesadilla. He tells me $68.87 which is expensive but okay. I paid on my cc and he said it will be 50 minutes. I come back an hour later. He looks at me and says you ordered and asked what my name was then couldn't find my name. He said what did you order and I told him. The look on his face and I said it hasn't started and he said it's in the oven, okay fine. Comes back 15 minutes and says here and there is 3 boxes and I stated my order back and he said we didn't order a quesadilla. He said you pay? I said omg this is ridiculous, you took my order an hour ago, how many times do I need to provide you my order. He caramel back 8 minutes later and apologized and said here is your order. He wrote down on a card and said next order is on them and signed it. That was nice of him. I get to my vehicle check the order and it was not right. They give me chicken not cheese quesadilla for a vegetarian. Then give me a large cheese pizza that I didn't order and a 6 cut Sicilian pizza. They charged me more than what I received in return. I paid an extra $14 and to top it off everything was cold . Pizza was cold and not even cut and disgusting. Might be the worst or one of the not so good pizzas, breadsticks were awful. Overall very disappointing for this place. Support local yes, but all the people that you have working maybe someone knows what they are doing. Sorry to be so terrible about a review but I was caught off guard.

And, that's exactly how I'd classify my pizza. The crust was on the doughy side and the sauce was a tad sweet. Now, don't take this as me saying this pie was subpar because, again, it was exactly average. I enjoyed the pepperoni (yes, some establishments get the pepperoni wrong). Also, we got an Italian hoagie that I did very much enjoy (slightly above average!). I will be back and, therefore, Pizza Denn will have an opportunity to improve upon this *** rating!

We couldn't wait to get back to Elrama Tavern!…read more Even though I told myself I'd try something new, I caved (zero regrets) and ordered the Picklesburgh flatbread again. If you're a pickle lover, this is an absolute must- pickles under the cheese and fried pickles on top... it's next-level good!! The Tavern's Mustard Chicken sandwich was also delicious, loaded with roasted red peppers, bacon, and lemon pepper aioli that really pulls it all together. And the onion rings? Cooked to perfection....crispy, not greasy, exactly how they should be! Service was friendly and fast, which made the whole experience even better. They had Penn Sarris Chocolate Peanut Butter beer on tap, and wow--seriously yum. Definitely grab it before it's gone! Bonus points for not charging that annoying 3% credit card fee. That alone deserves a thank you Already looking forward to our next visit!

We learned late in the day that the location we had chosen was closed due to no power. I called Elrama Tavern to see if they could accommodate our group in about an hour and they said they could. When we arrived they prepared a table for us downstairs. We've visited ET several times in the past but had never seen the downstairs room. It is spectacular. James quickly took care of our table with drinks and orders and made sure glasses never went empty. The food was great. A few had the Pittsburgh Steak Salad and loved it. One of our group had the Bacon Steak Hoagie and commented it was the best steak hoagie he'd had in a very long time. Another stated that her burger was top tier. I had the Butter Baked Cod Sandwich and I can honestly say it was among the top fish sandwiches I've ever had. Hats off the Elrama Tavern. A great place, with great food, and great people.
