Truly a 5 star diner! We were headed back to town from Desert Hot Springs and I had eaten here at Pi Stop before and wanted to introduce my girlfriend to it since she loves Diners so much. First of all, there is a reason why everyone says Lola is an awesome waitress - it's because it's true! I was trying to decide between the pastrami burger ($16.99) and the chicken pot pie (also $16.99) and without batting an eye she said if you're hungry go with the pastrami burger. I then wanted to test the waters so I said "Okay, how about if we add the prime rib ($27.99) into the mix?" And she said prime rib is the best. Ultimately I wasn't hungry enough for a prime rib meal so went with the pastrami burger which is a smashburger patty with pile of pastrami, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato's & 1000 island served with choice of fries, onion rings, tots or side salad - and I got tots of course which were just as they should be - fantastic! (Side note: Which ever side you get, be sure to get ranch dressing - it's awesome!) The burger was fantastic. It comes cooked led-well and I like mine medium which they will do by request. Girlfriend got the veggie skillet ($18.99) with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, avocado, spinach, home style potatoes & queso blanco - served with 3 eggs and any style toast but she decided to try peanut butter pancakes ($4 upcharge) and her whole meal was absolutely delicious! Also if you grab a Moromgo players card you get 10% off.

The burger meat was a flavorless as was the cheesesteak; visually it looked ok but probably best to go outside and get an in n out burger instead for half the price and twice the flavor. Server did a good job with delivery to table.

Dave had the country fried steak (or was it Chicken fried?). It was delicious and HUGE! So huge, in fact, he had it for 2 meals. I had the veggie scramble with eggs over medium. I cannot tell you how great it was. Perfect in every way. Large portions. Great potatoes. Great veggies. Perfectly cooked eggs. Our server was Lola and she was there with coffee and there with a smile. When we go back, we will be looking for her. She was perfect!! Cute little diner inside the smaller casino. Looking for great food, fair prices and large portions? Stop in.

On the way home from Palms Springs sometimes you get a little hungry and want to hit a "PitStop". Located inside the old Casino Morongo, PitStop Diner has been serving customers for years. Today my family and I got to stop and enjoy some of the fried goodness on their menu but thats not all they have. Everything we ordered came put fresh and warm. Everything warm, fresh, and crispy. The perfect crunchy exterior to a warm delicious soft inner fries. They made sure the food was too your liking. The service was great, the waitress made sure to check on you every so often to make sure everything was okay. I hope to the next person who sees this review has a much as a great experience as I did. Thank you PitStop for the warm and scrumptious meal.

We always come to this spot because not only is it delicious it's always clean. Today we had the most lovely server her name was Deborah. She was so sweet and called you baby or hunny which had that hometown feeling. She made sure all of our food was correct and hot. She made sure we had sauces for all the different foods. She was so nice and attentive as well. Hope she stays for a while!! Food was hot and fresh. Got the platter which was a little bit of it all chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and French fries. Next time I want to try the zucchini table next to us got it and it looked and smelled delicious. Definitely one of the best casino diners I've been too.

Is this one of Americas great Diners???? Put on the brakes because it is not. But it is a good Casino diner! Pit Stop services the small older side of Morongo Casino in Cabazon. The side with bowling bingo ad Poker. The menu is big and the do offer daily specials including a daily $27 Prime Rib dinner. I had the Frisco burger and that was a great patty melt with a expertly executed Parmesan crust on sour dough bread. The pre-fab coated and seasoned fries were very good, hot, crisp and just minutes out of the freezer. Im not complaining but my friends were, they didnt like this style of French fry and thought they tasted fishy. The Ice-cold Onion rings were immediately sent back to the kitchen and fresh hot order arrived in about 15 minutes. Service was good and yes we would eat here again on our next visit to Morongo bingo, because it's the only option.

This is easy off and on the 10. If you're hungry, don't pass this up. Easy parking too! You'll pull up to the old Morongo Casino but it's not what you think... You don't have to be a gambler to make this great pit stop! Or go ahead and gamble in this small, clean and friendly casino. The Pit Stop diner is straight ahead as you come in the door. Enjoy sweet, attentive service by "Lola", in her sparkling clean 50s diner, Pick your spot and get ready to enjoy some great food. Im a catfish aficionado, on my way to Texas for the real thing and found it right here! Texas style hush puppies, best crispy fries you've ever had, excellent fresh coleslaw, and... fried catfish! The catfish has a light crispy, crunchy cornmeal breading, fried to perfection, with high quality "clean" tender catfish. "Clean" means it doesn't taste like a bottom dweller, which it is! Hubby loved his "Big Rig" $10 breakfast with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. Even the coffee was above board, fresh and rich coffee flavor. See you soon Lola, on our way back!

Pit Stop Diner exceeded my expectations! Going into a casino for brunch.. set the bar low. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. Portions were large, selection was wide enough, and service was all kind. My friends and I weren't distracted by the sound of slot machines nearby. We even enjoyed the throwback tunes playing on the diner speakers.

Driving back from Palm Springs, we were done with late night fast food for dinner. Few choices for a sit down but the Pit Stop Diner was open. Located inside Morongo Casino, it is on the casino floor. It has an extensive menu and there kinda funny to hear the ka-chning of the machines while were eating. The food was tasty, good portion size and filling. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server tried to help us save money by promoting their rewards program. Now we know where to go if we want to enjoy a sit down meal.

To start we made Friday night dinner reservations for 7pm, place was pretty empty, as we were escorted to our table (in the center of the restaurant) I asked if a booth would be available (the sun glare off a mirror decor was hitting us) our hostess immediately said no they were all booked for the evening, Uhm ok there was about 5 open and again it was pretty empty at that time. However as we sat seated for about 5 minutes I saw her seat another table (2 guests) and when the female asked for a booth same hostess looked around and said ok and moved them over from the table to a booth again quite a few booths were open. Our server was very attentive and informed us of the dinner for 2 special (salad, asparagus, loaded mashed potatoes, lobster tail and bone in rib eye) for $208. Not a bad deal and we were already going to have the rib eye and share. He also substituted the loaded mashed potatoes for wedge potatoes for my husband. We ordered our steak med-rare however when it arrived it was pretty dry, I cut the fat cap off and found it dry, chewy and tough for a rib eye lacking flavor, I had to ask for salt. The lobster tail was a good size but also was overcooked (rubbery) when we tried to cut through it we found it had a tough texture and even though we used a steak knife it didn't easily cut. The rib eye had a heavily charred crust almost burnt on one portion, between the 2 of us we didn't even finish 1/2 and only had 2 bites of the lobster tail. We had them pack up all the remaining food. The table bread and 2 flavored butters were our favorite part of the meal sadly.

We ordered the Pomodoro pasta after specifically asking our server if it was dairy-free because one person in our group cannot have dairy. We were told it was. When the dish came out, it had cheese on it. We let them know, and they remade it, but the second one also came out with cheese. It's concerning that after explaining a dietary restriction, the same mistake happened twice. On top of that, our food took about an hour to come out because our order was apparently forgotten. The linguine and clams was also very watery and lacked flavor. It had a slight kick but no real depth, especially for the price. The most frustrating part was when the bill came. We weren't trying to get free food, we just wanted to talk through what happened. Instead, they became defensive and kept saying they had already "taken the loss" by remaking the incorrect dishes. They also said since we ate some of the linguine while waiting for the replacement, they were still going to charge us for it. That was hard to understand because the whole situation started from being given incorrect information about what was dairy-free. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What really left a bad impression was how the situation was handled. Between the hour-long wait, getting the dietary restriction wrong twice, and the defensive response when we brought it up, it wasn't an experience we'd recommend, especially if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

My girlfriends and I decided to have a girls' night here because we'd been wanting to try this…read moreplace for a while. We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.
