But that didn't deter the man in charge from quickly assessing the noise coming from my car (while double parked on street). He was no nonsense and seemed honest and to the point. When we first moved into the neighborhood, another nearby shop was recommended to us by a friend, but the shop turned us away for some reason I forget. However, that shop told us to come to J&S Auto instead, swearing they're honest and can get the job done. They're not affiliated in any way, which some may take as a good sign. They're certainly honest and the pricing is reasonable. Don't be fooled by its size - they're very accommodating, communicative, and efficient. We usually just show up because we live close. If they can't take the car in right away, they tell us to come back a few hours later. If anything comes up, they'll call. Each time, the cars would be fixed very quickly, sometimes on the spot. They've helped me on quite a few occasions - anything from body work related to motor vehicle accidents to NYS annual inspections. You won't be disappointed.
