To find some nice flowers on a Saturday before Mother's Day was clearly a monumental challenge. Many places weren't open and if some were, their selections were weak. To make matters worse, I was looking specifically for peonies which are hard to come by; they're expensive and very sensitive. Most people who buy these understand their fickle nature and tend to shy away from them, while roses are much less expensive and can handle anything thrown at them. This place not only had a nice selection of peonies, they had so much of everything. There's a walk in cooler that's filled with so many fresh flowers so in case you're looking for other items, this place definitely has it. Hands down probably the top florist in Dade County but parking maybe a small challenge that's mostly on Alton road. read more

This place has really gone to shit. It used to be a place where you can get one of a kind arrangements. I ordered a $125 arrangement and by far it's the worse representation of tropical flowers. I asked for some nice colors and I received this crap. I asked for delivery in the morning. I get some guy telling me that he was doing me a favor by accepting my order. That they were sooo busy and that I should feel grateful! I only wish he would have told me they were busy and I would have taking my hard earned money somewhere else. Talk about bad customer service. My husband Silvio ordered arrangement for valentines day to be delivered to my office. After numerous calls to find status of where they were, 6:00 pm came around and office was closing. He called so many times upset to complain that they began not picking up his calls. He simply was calling at 6:00 pm to change delivery address because office was closing and they began screening his calls since they had no update. After 5 calls of no one picking up he called with *69 and they picked up they left him on hold forever and finally at 6:45 I got my bouquet. We won't be ordering from them again. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! We wanted to order flowers for my wedding. So I call them at around 3 or 4 pm to know what time they are closing, they say 6 pm. Knowing that fact, we arrive at 5.15pm, the front door was closed. We were puzzled, and a gentleman from the restaurant next door came to us and said we may be able to enter from the side/back door, so we did. As soon as we get inside, a rude woman yells "we're closed!", so I answer "no you're not, I called on purpose and you clearly stated you close at 6 pm", she responds "ok" as if she's doing us a favor, but I stop right then and there, my today husband and I look at each other and say "let's go". Ordered today $250 flowers for a business partner which were supposed to be delivered one block away from their shop. Talked with them around 9:30am and lady over phone told me it will be delivered around 11am, for sure before noon. Based on that I've made an order. They didn't make delivery till 2pm. My business partner left office after 12pm because it was her bddy. To make things worse, guys from Pistils & Petals were rude over the phone when I made inquires when they are going to make a delivery. I don't mind paying $250 for good job finished in timely manner. I ordered the first time, and I did not receive any notification if the order was delivered or not, I called them to verify and the phone automatically transfers to a customer service that has no idea of any orders. They promised to call back and never did, for one entire week. I tried ordering again - because the flowers look beautiful, and to give them a second chance. The same thing happened. I called before ordering to ask questions about the order, nobody was available to answer my question. They promised to call back and they never did. I ordered online and called back to check the status of the delivery - the same thing happened, the same woman with a irritating attitude answered asking for my complete name and number so someone could call me back. I will never order from Pistils & Petals again. On 2/13, I ordered flowers for my girlfriend's birthday, which coincidentally happens to fall on Valentine's Day. When I placed the order via phone, I made it explicitly clear that the flowers were being delivered to my girlfriend's office and that she would be leaving work at 4pm. The lady I spoke to acknowledged that, and stated that she would ensure that they would be delivered in the "morning" to avoid any issues. At 2:15 pm on the 14th they had not yet been delivered. I called Pistils and Petals, and was told that they were "on the truck" and would be delivered "before 3pm". At 3:50 pm, they still had not been delivered. I called again, and was told that they would redirect the delivery to our home. At 11 pm we returned from dinner and went to the concierge in our building, who receives deliveries, and were told nothing had been delivered. I contacted Pistils and Petals at approximately 10am on the morning of the 15th, and was told that they were "very busy on the 14th" and had "lost track of some deliveries". I was assured that I would be issued a full refund immediately. At approximately 3:00pm on the 15th, I received another call from Pistils and Petals asking "where I would like my flowers to be delivered to". I told the gentleman who called that I no longer wanted them, as they were supposed to have been delivered the previous day, and that I had already been promised a refund. Today, on the 16th, I checked my credit card and the charges had gone from pending to posted. I contacted Pistils and Pedals again and was told by the lady who answered that she "wasn't sure what to do' and suggested that I dispute the charges with my credit card, which I did. I'm sorry, but if you are a florist, you should be able to ensure that you can meet the demand on your busiest day of the year. When you are no longer able to reliably fulfill orders, you should politely stop accepting them. Additionally, the fact that their staff does not know how to process a refund is ridiculous. I would highly recommend avoiding this merchant. read more

A couple of weeks ago I had a real flower emergency. I was having an event at one of the nearby hotels and the florist I hired for centerpieces for the tables did not deliver. I was very upset and ran to Pistils and Petals to see if they could help me. They were the most helpful and pleasant people. they were very professional and understanding of my situation. Ordered my one year anniversary bouquet from them after I was recommended... girl in the shop was nice. I asked for it to be delivered in the morning as my wife was heading out in the afternoon. Sure no problem. I asked for extra flowers to be added and I paid an additional fee. Flower arrangement delivered mid afternoon after I rang them to tell them to get their arse into gear. My additional flowers were never added and I was given no compensation back for this. It was just their ordinary bouquet of flowers. It's 7:30 pm and the flowers that were ordered still have yet to arrive after multiple phone calls throughout the day. On the calls, there were no apologies and no assurances.
