Very modern. Clean and friendly staff. This restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the Hilton double tree in the historic zone in Guadalajara. The food is well prepared and well presented. Many choices for all picky eaters. The seating is spacious and the view is amazing with the streets and churches nearby. This restaurant is worthy to try even if you don't stay in the hotel. The restaurant is on level seven of the double tree hotel and you don't need a key to use the elevator. Hack: Guests can order free mimosas for breakfast. We wanted the carne con quacamole and they let us know that they didn't have the carne seca so they just gave us the guacamole with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. We waiting prob 20 minutes for our order. The enchiladas were SOUR definitely not a fan, we did not get a check up on how we're doing as well. I recommend just coming here for drinks and the view. After looking at this restaurant on yelp, I just had to try it. The restaurant is on the 7th floor of the double tree hotel, which is the hotel that we were staying at. We had a late dinner there and it was so windy, but we were starving, thirsty (wink wink) and wanted to enjoy our first night in Guadalajara. Thankfully the food was amazing, we had the taurino taco dish and another dish that I can't remember what it was called. We also had two drinks and a cheesecake. The dishes start art about $20 US dollars, so the price was a bit high, but the views at night are stunning and totally worth it! I got the "Ensalada Piso 7" which comes with their 'house dressing' and it was straight up warm mayonnaise from a jar, and so much of it. It was actually so bad I didn't even take more than one bite. I told the waiter that I disliked the salad and wanted a new dressing on top and he told us "let me ask my supervisor" and he talked to all the waiters and never came back to let us know. They still charged me for the salad that nobody barely touched. My family and I came here and nobody liked the food at all to the point where it just took our appetite away. DO NOT BOTHER WITH COMING HERE, the beauty doesn't not match the food or service at all! Walked in as a party of two and we ordered a couple of drinks and a few food items. We decided on the torta de pierna, tacos de Camaron con quest, Fideo seco, y crema de huitacloche. Everything took a really long time to come over, we watched three tables received their drinks before we got our hot tea after waiting around 20 minutes for our drinks only. We saw our food be served to a large party next to ours who then rejected the food since it wasn't theirs. The food was then dropped back to our table after hitting another one, much lack of detail. The food arrived cold after a long 40 minute wait. To make things worse, the guacamole tasted spoiled. The tortas de pier a were so cold and hard we couldn't eat it. The Fideo soup was ok but nothing special. The shrimp tacos were so cold the cheese solidified itself again. The server Athena did not even bother to come back and check on us whatsoever. I think the problem is that the wait staff hates their job or they hate waiting on Americans, I'm not sure which but it's very very long wait to get food and the food is mediocre at best. I've been to this restaurant three times. The first time we ordered beers and told the waiter that we wanted to order lunch. After getting the beers we waited 40 minutes in an uncrowded restaurants at 2:30 in the afternoon. We finally gave up and walked out since no one had come to wait on us. We are staying here at the Doubletree hotel, the piso siete is located on top floor. We wanted to have some drinks our family, my husband and I plus 2 adults kid. My sister her husband and 2 young kids. The place was kind of empty, plenty of tables. We saw a large table with a nice view. We asked if we could seat there and we were told it was reserved, ok fair enough. The issue is that the table was never occupied. I was disappointed, why wouldn't they gave us the table? The hostess actitud can be better, maybe tiredness at the end of the day. We asked to speak to the manager and it seemed that he had gone home already so we talked to Jorge who said to be in charge and he just said sorry. In my opinion if the table was "reserved" we should have been given the option to take the table they offered us or to wait in case the party didn't show up. So I wouldn't feel as if they just didn't want to give us the table. Anyway we are definitely not recommending this place. Service has a lot to be desired. read more
