Meat and cheese piroshky
Barry B.

Stopped by and picked up a meat and cheese piroshky for lunch. It had great flavor and was filling. Glad there is one in Kent.

Yummy as always!

The location is ROUGH, we almost just left, but I pulled up to the front and they are the same amazing food that you get at Pike Place Market.

We have dined at Wild Wheat several times over the years and have always enjoyed it, even thought…read moreof it as a local gem however haven't been in some time. We went recently dined in on a holiday Monday and were very disappointed!! First, the state of cleanliness was very bad! The dining room needs a deep cleaning! Thick dust was observed on the worn, paint-chipped chairs and in low traffic areas of the floor; many pictures were hanging crooked on the walls; grime was visible on the walls and floor; the bathroom smelled heavily of urine. When a public space is this dirty and neglected, one wonders how unsanitary the kitchen might be! Service wasn't attentive - never had our drinks refilled or even checked on to ask how things were. The food was good and portions large but prices high even by current standards. Also it was a bit sickening to sit in the dining room. The owners and management need to work hard to improve from the OKAY rating from the Health Department and do some deep cleaning to return to the special restaurant it was years ago. We do not plan to return at this point.

I was surprised by the empty seats at the location. The place wasnt as welcoming despite the place looking the same as it did before. I ordered the crab benedict. It was supposed to be on an English muffin. It was on two pieces of stale bread. The crab was just okay. My friend thought the bagel wasnt bad though. Its just a bagel with cream cheese. We also ordered a mocha with two shots. Tastes like a decent cup of coffee. Our server was nice though. Left us alone and didnt bother us. You have to pay at the front to close out your bill, which we didnt mind as we spent a good time here catching up. Overall, it was ok. Maybe its the fact that the food safety on the place was rated as okay and that threw me off, but comparing the quality years ago to now, to me it isnt the same.

I mean, seriously read the menu photo as every bite was so ON POINT in detail and flavors! The service and seating were fabulous too. We were tempted to order some baked goods to go (I always love their sugar cookies though they also had a Boston Cream cannoli-ish item that stopped us in our tracks to ogle the case shelves before we sat down!) but alas we were so full from the tea service that we departed with a few leftover dessert treats to extend the moment at home. This was truly a terrible purchasing experience. On the afternoon of May 3rd, my friend and I went…read moreto the Paris Baguette at Southcenter with his three-year-old child to buy some bread. Among the items we bought was a cheese and beef sandwich. We put it in the fridge when we got home, and the next morning, when I wanted to heat it up for breakfast, I found that the entire sandwich had turned sour. At first, I thought it was just the taste of the cheese, but when I opened the bread, a strong sour smell hit me. Worse, I had already taken a bite. Then I remembered that my friend, his three-year-old, and I had all eaten products from Paris Baguette the day before, and I got really worried. So I drove back to the store. When I arrived, a female employee greeted me. I calmly explained that I had bought a spoiled sandwich. She immediately offered to refund me. I provided my purchase receipt and the last four digits of my bank card, and asked if I could get a cash refund. She said no -- that it was company policy -- and repeatedly asked for the last four digits of my card and what time I had made the purchase. After being asked three or four times, I started to get a bit annoyed. Then a male employee took over and handled the rest, and the refund went through successfully. I believe that providing fresh ingredients is a basic principle of any food business. As a chain brand, Paris Baguette prices its products higher than non‑branded bakeries. So why are customers willing to pay more? Because a brand gives people trust -- just like how supermarkets operate by vetting products for their customers. As an established bakery brand, I assume most of your products are made in a central kitchen, with quality monitored by both systems and staff. Clearly, this was a lapse. I hope I don't end up with diarrhea today Lol
