I wish I had found TCD a decade ago! They are AMAZING!…read more My cat was exhibiting some digestive issues, such as frequent vomiting and diarrhea. After a trip to an emergency vet over the weekend, I contacted them on Monday morning in hopes of getting her checked out. They were able to fit her in that afternoon. As I entered the establishment, I was desperate to get my cat care as quickly as possible. Over the course of the visit, that changed to confidence and relief: I had the best team I could ask for on my side! Within a handful of minutes talking with me and watching my cat wander the exam room, Dr. Koble determined several key points about my cat that had been missed by the jack-of-all-trades clinic that weekend: * She was dehydrated, and losing muscle mass. * She had cataracts, making her several years older than I had realized. * One of the levels in the urine labs was actually 50% higher than normal, indicating kidney disease, which is expected in senior cats. The doctor provided two medications to help with the digestive issues, and taught me how to administer them. A couple of days later, we returned for an ultrasound. Dr. Krichbaum discussed the results with me, helping me understand the situation and options for treatment. I cannot imagine a better place to entrust with the care of your feline! Every single member of the staff exhibited competence and caring. Pretty much the only shortcoming of this place is that the parking lot is small and awkward.

The vet techs, front desk and assistants are so thoughtful and caring. I was able to text a lot of information to them and they were very accommodating. We have a feral Sweetheart named Scrappy Loo that we love very much and they were so good with her. She has a chronic feline mouth virus and needs a lot of attention. They were top-notch and we are so lucky to have them! They contacted us the same night and let us know what her lab results were, and that her prescriptions were called into the pharmacy. We couldn't have asked for a better visit prior to, during, and afterwards!

I explained my concerns about Meowgi's persistent cough and Doctor Patricia Pence was very thorough in her examination of him. The care and treatment that Meowgi received from Doctor Pence was nothing less than excellent. After the appointment, Doctor Pence contacted me twice to check on him and to give me an update on the results of his bloodwork and X-Rays that were completed. She suggested that we put Meowgi on a diet as he is a hefty boy and she explained to me that the medication that she was prescribing would very possibly cause him to gain extra weight, which may cause diabetes. Dr. Pence listened to me and I know that she took every word that I said to her seriously. I genuinely feel that she does care deeply about the animals that she treats. She also made me feel valued because she was not arrogant or pretentious in any way. If you are looking for a caring veterinarian that will do all that she can possibly do to take loving care of your animal, please make an appointment to go see her. Thank you Dr. Pence for your excellent care and for your love of our animals.

I felt that my dog Roxie has always received care from Idaho Humane Society in Boise that has been…read morea excellent experience. The vets Roxie has seen there were caring, gentle, compassionate, concerned and genuinely interested in my dogs health. Educated, experienced and qualified to provide exceptional care for my animal. They have given financial assistance to me for my dog in the past more than one time. I've been ever so grateful for! Idaho Humane Society staff is courteous, they communicate between staff great. Professional opinions on one occasion that the mass removed from my dog ( a different dog) was not cancerous and recommended it wasn't necessary to send of for further research to find out if the mass was cancerous. She was accurate! Sadly this particular vet that provided care for the mass left the Idaho Humane Society. I believe she relocated. All my experiences with IHS have been good except one time about 13 years ago. My dog at that time was very sick, the vet treated me like I was abusing my dog. My dog was terminal, I didn't realize how sick my dog was. I got him from a rescue and I believe when I got him he was already very ill. Which I later discovered after the exam at IHS. The vet recommended to euthinize. I was in shock. The vet refused to let me leave with my dog and said the dog had to go into the hospital or be immediately euthinized. I couldn't afford the hospital care and the dog was obviously at the end of it's life. I wanted to spend until the next morning with my dog before I had him put down. The vet treated me terrible and basically tried to keep us hostage at The IHS. When the vet left the exam room for a few minutes, I immediately left out a side door with my dog and went home. Later animal control showed up at my door wanting to view my dog and take possession of my animal because of that vet! I had beat them to the punch and already contacted Kuna Pet Care Clinic for an appointment to have the dog euthinized the next morning. Once I informed animal control officer that no she wasn't going to take the dog and that I had made arrangements, the officer verified it with Kuna Vet Pet Care Clinic. And then IHS vet and animal control officer couldn't take action any further. Kuna Vet Care Clinic was extremely compassionate and helpful with the services to end the dogs life. It was a horrible experience with IHS. But this was many years ago and I'm sure that vet is no longer with IHS. Also I believe a vet like that one was a very rare vet in terms of vets aren't typically lacking compassion, treating animal owners like they are animal abusers. Vets usually aren't demanding and controlling either. I think it was a isolated experience. I don't believe IHS would ever have another vet similar to that one. I definitely highly recommend IHS. More than I would other vets and vet hospitals such as West Vet. They have horrible reviews.

We needed to make arrangements for our very DIVA Siberian Husky, Kody to spend the night away from home. We were going to have upwards of eighteen people for dinner and it would have been way too much chaos for Kody. He loves people and people love him but the anxiety, chaos, and the opening and closing of the front door would have been a disaster. For his sake and the sake of our guests, we needed to find a place for him where he could be safe. I made arrangements online and received a call back from PetSmart. We confirmed all the terms and conditions and squared away the reso When I arrived on Saturday at 9 am, I brought Kody, with his meals, and medical history minus the HIPPA docs, and checked in. I told the team that if there are any issues to text me and I will come to get him. Kody does not spend time with other dogs but does spend time with humans. Like many Huskies, he's fickle, melancholy, moody, and loves strangers more than his family. I was not sure what type of hotel guest he was going to be especially during pet time with other dogs. Kody does have the inclination to be friendly with other male dogs. When I picked him up on Sunday afternoon, the team was raving about Kody, and Sidebar, he does have that effect on people. They wanted him to stay another night or be back soon. I imagined that he was this cool diva rockstar huskie that everyone fawned over and was not snooty to deal with. Like a dog version of Keanu Reeves. We had a great experience and so did Kody.
