We were waiting for our usual plumber to install a dishwasher and sink faucet when he came down with covid. I friend suggested this guy- now called pipe works- they used 3 years earlier so I called and the woman said they would be there tomorrow morning. 2 guys came in fancy new trucks. Installed the dishwasher-we were totally ready with everything out and a clean area to work. Took them 10 min. then installed the faucet. Used a clean canning jar and a clean towel from my counter to collect and mop up water. Took 20 min. Made a big mess and charged us $505.00 for less than 35 min. work!! Very cocky!! Called them out to rod the drain. Two plumbers came, a tall thin friendly guy, and a short smug guy with an attitude. They couldn't work the rodding machine in and told me it was because my foundation had shifted and the drain pipe had broken and offset. Quoted $3500 to fix it plus the cost of busting up my driveway. Turned out the drain pipe was fine. With about 30 seconds of looking right where the plumbers were, I noticed the real problem. The bottom 10' of my CI stack had cracked. $250 and 2 day's labor including drywall, I fixed it myself. read more

Must be super busy or phone system is broken. Called a few times and no one answered. The response each time was "sorry we missed your call, our normal business hours are..." and I called during the middle of the days during the work week. Left a message and they never called back. read more

Beware of Price Gauging! We've used Pipeworks in the past and have had decent experiences, but I fear they have gone the route of being misleading and greedy. It is so difficult to find a local business that is trustworthy and that you can count on for both fair pricing and great service. Pipeworks is no longer that local business. They charged $200 for the most minor of toilet repairs, that took less than 30 mins. This is was after the $50 service fee was applied. Plumbers are very skilled and provide a valuable set of services to be sure, but I was unaware until today, they charge as much if not more then a high priced lawyer or surgeon. It is my mission to make everyone aware of these shady practices on each and every social media review site. And to let everyone I know personally, not to use them, if they are part of the public that still values their hard earned dollars. P.S. I paid $350 to have my drain cleaned after it started backing up. 3 weeks later, it backed up again. Someone else cleaned it and said there were several spots where there were still blockages. I sent an email asking if there was a warranty on their work and never got a response. A complete waste of money with bad customer service to top it off. read more

We had a sewer line clog caused by tree roots gone wild. It was soon discovered the problem was worse than first thought. When they got to a certain point, they let us know what our tab was at so we could decide how much further we wanted them to work on it. They also showed us an image of what was causing the problem. We gave them the go-ahead to keep working on it...to get the line as clear as possible and they worked until they could go no more. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 as I had to call to see where they were as they were late, and they seemed a little pricey. read more

Called with a water heater issue expecting to need a service call, and they gave me several simple things to try before they came out and i was able to fix myself. They could have made an easy service call fee and spent 2 min fixing the problem, but they didn't take advantage. Appreciate the excellent customer service and will definitely be my first call when something more significant happens. Have earned my future business. read more

Cannot say enough about the service we experienced with Pipeworks on 2 recent occasions. Initially we contacted them to come out and take a peek at our water heater that was leaking, as well as a sump pump that was on the fritz. Upon arrival, it was determined that the water heater was failing and a new one would need to be installed. Unfortunately, the model we needed was not something that they readily stocked on the truck. Immediately they dispatched one of their technicians to secure the appropriate model, even thought it was across town and required multiple stops. Once they had the right materials, the removal and installation was done quickly with a thorough explanation of why it was being replaced. As for the sump pump, they could not recreate the issues that we had experienced previously and therefore indicated that we did not need a new one. I sincerely appreciated the honesty, as I know nothing about plumbing and could have been easily convinced of the need for a new pump. Now, flash forward a couple of weeks. Our sump pump finally gave out, as the internal switch quit working, which would have been undetectable at the time of the initial review. I called to inquire about a service visit and Janice dispatched Rick to our home within 2 hours of my call. Rick confirmed the pump was shot and would need to be replaced, and then proceeded to talk me through my options. Although there were options that varied in price, he never once tried to steer me into the more expensive option and assured me that the option I chose would be sufficient for my needs. As much as I appreciated this level of honesty, Rick took it a step further at installation time. After installing the new primary pump, Rick informed me that something had failed with our water-powered back-up pump when he reinstalled it. I would have had NO WAY of knowing this, and he could have easily walked off without mentioning. However, he took the opposite approach and indicated he would be back the following day to install a new back-up pump free of charge. He wasn't sure what went wrong, but knew that it was not in the same condition as when he arrived and wanted to make it right. I was truly blown away by this level of honesty because again - I have zero understanding of plumbing systems and probably never would have noticed until it is time to replace my primary pump again in several years. I cannot recommend this company enough for your plumbing needs. Honesty can be hard to come by and these guys have it in spades. Ask for Rick - he's the man! read more

I simply cannot sing enough praises about the work that Pipeworks did for us! They were extremely helpful in answering my questions and working with me to be sure that our home warranty company would reimburse us for the money spent on repairs. In the end, they helped us to get our water heater replaced and I was able to be reimbursed for the full cost! As this was my first home repair, I was really nervous to be sure we were working with a good company and Pipeworks more than set my mind at ease. Technician rich was polite and quick - even early to the appt! Completed my annual plumbing inspection with my VIP service plan and made appropriate adjustments. Only "downside" was that I had called them out for a sewer/root clean out only to have them use the camera and find I didn't need it! They've had to work on it for hours in the past 2 years and now apparently we are finally ahead of the problem! Still - even paying for the price of the camera was far less than what I've paid in the past! Not a bad problem to have. Happy to be a member of their service plan! read more
