I have been going to this vape shop for about a year now. Sadly this is not where I bought my vape pen from, but is now my go to place. Honestly I'm waiting for my battery to die out so I don't feel bad wasting this pen. They have flavor samples available for e-juice. Unlike other places they have a binder with all the flavors numbered, and organized by brand. This makes it a million times easier to find the sample tank for trying flavors. They are also very patient, and knowledgeable about their products. I am still a bit new to vaping so I always go there for my questions. It is very nice to find a place run by cool people. Often vape or smoke shops are run by people who pressure you into sales. There is a vape shop closer to me, but I always feel them pushing me to buy more so I rarely go in there. So, today I was looking for some e-cigarette juice, since my stock was running low. On a whim, I stopped in to see if they had any vaping supplies. They did! They have a large selection of e-juice, of over 100 flavors. The cool part is that they have a list, and pre-loaded tanks of every flavor they carry (they have varying strengths of nicotine for most of them). They're all well organized, labeled and numbered. So, I sat there for about 20 minutes trying every flavor that tickled my fancy. The staff was very helpful, suggesting flavors that were popular or based on my choices. They had batteries, coils and other equipment for vaping. (I noticed they were good at helping some other customers find out what they needed to start up their vaping kit.) I'll definitely be going back soon! I was really only focused on the vaping stuff, but I noticed they had hookah supplies, papers and loose tobacco and other smoking goods. I went in this store for the second time this year and I was with my baby I asked for a 25$ pipe and I got two small pipes for 5$ or two for 9$. At the register my total came out to 45$ I'm sitting there trying to see what's wrong that's not what I calculated in my head. But obviously was a bit distracted by the baby touching things. So I told him to take the two little ones out and the total came out to be 35$ I paid it and walked out. I put the baby in the car and looked on the receipt to see what happened then I noticed he charged me 35$ for a 25$ pipe. I walked in and told him he apologized and refunded me the money. Like really? Are you really trying to rip me off because I'm with a kid and think I wouldn't notice?? This place is shady If he was really sorry he would of thrown in the small pipe I wanted for 5$ instead of some 1$ brass screens. If you guys shop here be careful when they change you! Had a really bad experience at main stage vapes! They sold me a vape pen that broke in less than 10 days! Stopped by here to get a new battery pack and coil and Lindsey was super cool he set me up nice with my new kit!! Knows his vapes very well and wasn't pushy. Very cool spot. I not super educated on vapes, oils, and batteries but I do understand customer service and a pleasant experience. The staff at pipes were real informative and helped me make a decision regarding a battery. I needed some simple and low key but that would also last. They gave me options and explained the differences and what the best value was for a customer like me. I don't live real close to the place but I would make the drive simply because they made it an easy experience and seem trustworthy. They seemed to have a decent amount of stock as well if that helps. Some real nice glass pieces. read more

I love this shops selections of Juice's but one of the clerks there is so incredibly rude and a crook. I walk in and patiently wait as he helps another customer and when it's my turn to to be helped he acts as if I'm bothering him by trying to spend money in the store. Once he tones down his attitude I asked how much will it be to add nicotine to the juice I picked out, when he tells me that it's going to be $10 instead of the usual $4 that I pay when I normally go in he goes on a rant about how I need to lower my dosage and that he can charge whatever he wants to add nicotine to my selection.i simply left and I walked next door to the liquor store that actually owns a vape shop to explain to the managers that I've been receiving incredibly poor customer service for past several months and that they will never get my business again. I really hope that they fired that clerk because it really is a great shop it just needs better employees that don't scam customers just to skim profits. read more

First let me just say I'm not a vape enthusiast or anything. I do it cause it stopped me from smoking real cigarettes and I'm slowly lowering my nicotine level to eventually quit everything. It's working so far. I've used the same set up for about a year with the same tank and coils. That being said, going into vape shops has been hit or miss. I ask for the specific coil that i want and I'm use to and find that the shop I went into often "just ran out" of my coil or the clerks usually search everything in the store before they find what I need. The nature of these vape shops is that you either get a stoner clerk that's friendly knows their stuff but is totally lost in their own store, can't find anything and sometimes will try and up sell you. OR you go in and some grumpy old eastern European dude takes his time to look through his limited stock to then pick up and handing you something else, which is the case with my closest vape store. Today, at my local shop they had run out of what I needed so I searched yelp and Pipes Chicago came up. I was in and out of this place today in about 45 seconds. The combination of a very well organized store and an intelligent, friendly and quick clerk who didn't poke around made this visit as painless as possible. I went in asked for my coil, he asked "one coil or a whole box?" I took a box, he asked me for $20 please, I gave him the cash and I was on my way out. The dude probably won't even remember the transaction but I will because things go wrong so much in these stores that it stands out when people are sharp and efficient. Very positive experience. Clean shop from what I saw and it looks like they had a really large select too. I will definitely be back if I need more coils and recommend it to anyone looking for friendly and fast service in a smoke shop. read more

On all my visits to here, they have been very helpful even when it was only for advice. No pushy sales talk. I also had problems with Main Stage on McCormick Blvd., and will never go back there again. I mail order my liquids on line, but will continue to purchase my hardware from here. read more
