Brenda was amazing! Super helpful and just so nice to us shopping ! 10/10 will be coming back!

PipeLine carries an amazing selection of locally crafted glass pieces at great prices. Quality you dont see often in other smoke shops filled with mass produced crap from overseas. Do yourself a favor and pick up your next piece here for something truly awesome that you will love. The staff is super friendly and never made me feel like I didn't belong. Go see Uriah or any other team member for quality service! Never going anywhere else again for glass. Share something beautiful with your friends. read more

Patrick is so amazing! Great customer service during these troubled times. He helped us find exactly what we need and gave great recommendations on the products. Will return! read more

When I was a freshman at OOooooooooooooakes College this is where I bought my first (and last) water pipe. The guys from Biko Dorm went with me and it was a rite of passage. It was a proud proud moment in their eyes. Its name was Sherman named after Sherman's Lagoon (the cartoon). It was a fishy and the cutest thing EVER. Their water pipe selection is impressive here and the quality is amazing. They also sell hookahs, papers and tobacco products (cloves etc.). Sherman lasted for nine years until my friends finally broke it (this was not used everyday--and it had been collecting dust in my drawer since I 99.5% ceased water pipe activity after becoming a teacher/counselor). I still go in here for kicks, although I don't need a huge college poster that says "marijuana-- hey at least it's not crack" in my apartment. They have a small selection of shirts and belts... shades etc. Since I am older not so much into it, but it is always fun to peer in. What I really love about this place is when they have their glass blowers doing live "shows" in the window. You can catch them in action if you are lucky in the afternoon. This place is definitely a staple in downtown, one of the remaining non- urban outfitter/corporate shops that has popped up downtown in the passed ten years. read more

My favorite smoke shop to go to by far! Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful. They always have what I need there, if not they always recommend me something similar which turns out to be better at times. Highly recommend coming here. read more

I bought my own personal bong here yesterday. Best help/customer service I've ever received! He made me feel VERY comfortable and really made sure i went home with something id truly enjoy. He really hooked us up pretty well. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great customer service and a great selection of bongs, rigs, hookahs+. I worked with (sam) i dont know about the rest but he definitely made me feel comfortable and welcomed. And gave me a few important lessons about the products to make sure i knew what i was looking for(: read more

Pipeline is the most affordable and HISTORICAL smoke shop in Santa Cruz, having been on Pacific since well before the Earthquake. The vibe is right and has been since the 80s. Uriah does an excellent job at keeping it up! read more

This is my go to spot for glass. They have a great selection from affordable to expensive even local made pieces. Customer service is always A1 here too. read more

I'm pretty sure I should have paid rent here when I was in college. I practically lived here. I took my cousin here once so he could pick up some cigarettes and Mike, the manager at the time (not sure if he's still there) said hi to me. When we left, my cousin was like "so you know the manager of the smoke shop?" Their prices aren't the cheapest and they will not make a deal with you. Sticker price is the price no matter who you know or how much you buy. read more

Love love LOVE this smoke shop! Okay, so I'm from Fresno and a few months back I bought a broken e cig at a smoke shop over there, and the store had a strict no exchange policy and basically screwed me out of nearly $70. Pipeline, however, happily exchanged a quartz banger for us after we accidentally bought the wrong size, no questions asked. THAT is good service. I also once bought a pipe here that ended up breaking about 15 minutes after buying it. The shop gave us a 20% discount on our next one for the trouble. I am so pleased with the service here, and I can't wait to move out here and get away from all the crappy businesses in Fresno that would prefer to screw you out of your money. Pipeline has so much inventory and variety, they're friendly, and they'll help you out when yo need it. Ill always come back!! :) read more

Good place to buy smoking supplies. They also custom make some apparatuses. From Hookah to tobacco pipes to devices for smoking "other" things. They have a great front of the house shop too from posters to incents. Candles and black lights. What more fo you want from a head shop? Their staff is knowledgeable and can help you find what you are looking for. These folks deal in the obscure and main stream. They also blow some of the glass pipes in a front window. Whether you are looking for a pipe, water pipe, bong, hookah. You are sure to find it at pipe line. Need lose tobacco? No problem they've got it there. From exotic flavors to regular tobacco you are sure to find it. The back room is strictly 18+ so if your under 18 don't try to get in the back room they will card you and kick you out. Nevertheless this place is awesome! ! read more

Been here a few times now when visiting Santa Cruz, this place has the best deals on glass! Staff is extremely nice & helpful, I copped a sick glassy and a carrying case for under $30. Dope! I definitely recommend, Thank You Pipeline! read more

Well this one takes me back. I use to go here all the time back in the day to pick up new pieces to smoke out of and although they have a lot of stuff to choose from in the back room the quality glass is overpriced. What they had that I loved buying was HUGE posters. Like 3 feet by 4 feet. Not sure if they still got em but they had Goodfellas, Scarface, Tupac, The Shining, that kinda thing. Gangster Flicks and Gangster Rap with a few 1/2 naked women as well. But HUGE posters. If you have to buy some new glass in Santa Cruz I couldn't tell you where to find some better priced product but it's certainly not here. Staff was always friendly. read more

This is by far my favorite tobacco accessory store downtown. They also have cool tapestries and a huge selection of glass at a reasonable prices. Their vape pens are awesome and they stand behind their products. Uriah is the owner and he with his staff provide excellent customer service at reasonable prices. I only wish they were open later. read more

best shop like this in santa cruz, by far. Uriah helped me and wow that guy would be teaching a high level course on pipes and vaporizers at UCSC if they had one, which i'm surprised they don't. i cannot stress how knowledgeable and kind he is. Don't spend your money anywhere else, you'll be over paying and won't get nearly as good service if you go anywhere else, Pipeline is the best! read more

I was visiting from out of town on a Sunday, and I heard good things about Pipeline's tapestries. My friend took me there, and as soon as we stepped in a man nicely greeted us. However, not even three steps in, a woman smoking from outside yelled to the man that they were closed. It was not past 6:50pm, and the shop closed at 7. We obliged and walked out, commenting on the lack of business inside the shop. The woman with the cigarette yelled after us, "we're not getting any business because we're closed" in the snarkiest, most condescending voice. I rated this business as one star because they didnt give us a chance to come inside during their "open" hours. read more

Came in from out of town to visit Santa Cruz and I have to say this place was awesome spoke to the staff and they were awesome they guided me to what I needed and gave me a nice discount because I bought multiple items great glass work great experience and a great everything about this place I would highly recommend this to anybody that visits Santa Cruz and wants good smoke apparel and jewellery I went across the street to another smoke shop and they were arguing and being very rude and didn't give me any time of day so I have to say pipeline all the way read more

Always reliable. No matter what piece of smoking equipment I need I can count on them to have it.

My sister used to go here back when downtown was sketch-central. I was little, so I'd just stare in wonderment at the psychedelic posters and innapropriate-content t-shirts and stickers. Now that I am a grown up and I'm old enough to enter the back room where they sell the tobaccy and the bongs, it is one of my fave places to pick up a new glass pipe or some flavored tobbacco for my hookah. The flavored tobbacco prices are reasonable and they have quite the array of flavors. It's an institution. read more

Great staff, helped me out & hooked me up - sweet glass & sweet service can't go wrong here. Pipeline is legit

Pipeline is a great spot for all your smoke shop needs. They have very reasonable prices compared to the many shops in the area so you can feel good knowing they aren't ripping you off. Highly recommended! read more

Made a trip to this place every week as a freshman. Contemplated applying here to work cause I was here so much. I liked their custom pieces but what really drew me here was their display of ROORs back in the day. They also carry the best shisha (strawberry margarita starbuzz) and excellent self-lighting coals. Not to mention an assortment of rolling papers and accessories. I've quit smoking since but it was a good run. Good times, to say the least. read more

If you're looking for a smoke shop in Santa Cruz, this is one worth checking out. Not the best location in downtown, but it's a pretty big store. They have a lot of items including tapestries, posters, and of course a bunch of items for your smoking pleasure. Whether or not I have something in mind to buy, I enjoy visiting the store to look at the cool stuff they have. Every time I've been here the staff has been super friendly, helpful, and patient. Last time my boyfriend and I came in it was near closing but I didn't feel rushed one bit and they were more than happy to help with our purchase. read more

This was my first time coming here and I would definitely come back! I'm new to vaping and the girl that helped me was helpful! I wish we weren't moving because this would be my main place! I really wish I got her name, but girl in the white tank that helped me, you're awesome and thank you SO much!!! read more

I went to 4 different pipe shops and got 4 totally different experiences. Pipeline WAY exceeded all the rest. Prices were more or less the same-ish as the other places, give or take $5/10, and they seriously wrote the book on customer service. I went in on a Saturday for a bubbler, and in addition to a good selection of bubblers, found this AMAZING art piece that was a shell with copper on it...hand blown locally. I was pretty much in love with it, but discovered there was a crack in it. The mellow girl behind the counter, Meghan (who was awesome) said they wouldn't want to sell something with a crack in it, so said she'd have her manager contact the blower on Monday and she'd call me and tell me whatever she found out. She did indeed call me as promised, and let me know that they'd gotten 2 (both one-of a kind, but all similar) new shell pieces by that same artist (who's studio was right around the corner) for me to choose from, and they were holding them for me until I could get down there. I came down at the end of the day, and discovered that the new pieces were even better than the first. They gave me a *SMOKIN* DEAL (no pun intended) on that piece AND the bubbler, which I also ended up buying. Someone posted are review in 2008 that said they don't make deals, they definitely did, and I found their generosity refreshing. I have never had such a fabulous experience at a smoke shop. Its a super laid-back place, but they seriously treat you right! *Also worth mentioning, I wasn't dressed "the coolest" when I went in, and as I crossed the street, I considered whether or not I'd get snubbed (hippy snobs are the worst, right?!) and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't seem to make a difference. *Aaaaand I love that there are cats there, just chillin. Not in your face, but not unfriendly either. Take them or leave them if you are OR aren't a cat-person, but for me, it was fun that they were there. read more

Customer service is amazing. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Special thanks to Uriah who was extraordinarily thoughtful, patient, and knew his product. I will be back. Reputation is everything, and Uriah handled a problem I had with a product with complete integrity. Very impressed. The missing star is for what's supposed to be their top notch glass selection - it left more to be desired, but they have everything most would want, as most aren't coming in for a thousand dollar piece! I wasn't either, but I love to look! read more

Best smoke shop in Santa Cruz! Due to 1) great selection at a good price, 2) amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly service (I was offered a 20% discount just for inquiring about a water pipe), and 3) the fact that you can also get an awesome tapestry or cool t-shirt while you're at it. If you need a new pipe or piece, head here! read more

I had a good experience here: and a poor one at Home Blown Glass (around the corner). At Pipeline the salesperson was helpful (I wanted something easy to clean) and offered me a good deal on stems. The price was reasonable...the quality pretty good. And the cats were cool. read more

A few months ago I went to Pip[e Line to purchase one of the better vaporizers for dry material and paid the premium price that it sells for everywhere. A month later it fails to perform as it should but it is another two months before I get back to the shop. The staff examines it and agrees that there is a problem and tells me the manufacturers warranty will cover it so I should give them a call. I, somewhat shyly, say that I hoped that in buying it here I could handle it here and after assuring me the owner would take care of it the next day choose to simply replace it on the spot. Pipe Line Rocks! I have heard for 40 years that their customer service is stellar and my experience is proof it's true. read more

This place is the best! Excellent customer service , a wide range of pieces, and the felines in the back add to the chill vibes of this place. Very helpful staff, reasonably priced, good selection, easy to get to, and laid back. Can't really ask for much more from a smoke shop.

Right when you walk in the door the incense smell wonderful and makes you feel at home. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Bought a great pipe there for an afordable price, and got free screens with it! Glasswear is impressive and has a wide selection. Lots of cool novelty items for sale like posters and tapestries.
