Customers shouldn't be expected to "test" a brand-new product just to avoid being stuck with something defective. Disappointed in both the product quality and the customer service. It's locally owned by a husband and wife, who make the effort to get to know their customers. The shop is fairly small, but has a good selection of items and is always bustling, since the prices are good too. I'd have no hesitation recommended Ron & Bridgette's. Parking is the only downside - since it's right on Soquel near Gateways. We often would park on Cayuga, if there was no parking in front.

She called the owner and told him about the situation and he told her not to replace it. I shouldn't have to go to a smoke shop just to have them blatantly rob me. If you're going here for anything except cigarettes I highly suggest shipping someplace else. The first time they did this I lost 40 dollars. This time they stole 65 dollars. My only option now is to deny the charge on my debit card and follow through. Unfortunately I couldn't even get a receipt. I took my little pipe to the store, and walked in and did the formal greeting. I explained that I was the one who called. He acknowledged our conversation. I showed him the pipe where it was made improperly, he said it was up to me to pick the right one. WTH? Are you kidding me? Why have me come in with a badly manufactured product, slightly used, if you had no intentions of helping me. His business didn't catch the flaw and now it's on me to take the "hit". I asked him, point blank, how are you going to resolve this? He said it's your fault. We're talking 20 bucks. He sells 2 for 30 bucks. If you do the math.....what did he have to lose, except my loyalty and being a regular customer. For less than $10 he has no care in the world. I did mention that he is not supposed to resell pipes brought back, since we have covid. He shut up real quick. Buyers Beware. This guy has zero customer service. I've always known, a company is only as good as their customer service. If they have no support for a customer, then it's got to be money first. I do not recommend this business on many levels. I was more than happy to support this local business because of this, rather than buy my supplies online. I would give 5 stars based on the knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating environment Chris and Chelsea created, but I haven't seen either of them in months. I don't know if the ownership has changed, but now it seems there is a new face behind the counter every time I go in, and some of the new employees have very little knowledge about the products. The stock isn't as well maintained as it used to be, either, with common supplies being sold out. One new employee tried filling up the tank I had just bought, but poured the liquid in the wrong place and spilled a third of it, and didn't offer to replace what was spilled. The store and staff are just not as organized as they used to be. I don't know what happened to Chris and Chelsea (and Chelsea's adorable Papillon), but please come back!! We miss you! (I am leaving 4 stars in case Chris and Chelsea are just on vacation, and/or in hopes that there will be a big improvement soon, because I really do like this place.)

Found Irie Motivations online and headed over to see what they could whip up. Cool chill shop, with the blowing visible from the floor which was fun as it always is. Gave them the general idea of what I was looking for incorporating the Giants as well as a baseball for the body and a baseball bat somewhere as well. After some ordering in of glass and some back and forth texts and conversations I had an awesome custom piece that was the best artistic interpreting of my idea I could have asked for. Baseball for the body with a carb on the side and a bat as the mouthpiece with a custom message on the back and made out of some beefy glass so it was functional as well as pretty. Thank you guys for making my best man's gift a reality
