I specifically ordered a fiberglass door to avoid the issue of warping that I had with my previous wood entryway door. However, after having my new fiberglass door from Pioneer Millwork (AKA Belmont Door and Window) installed, what did I discover? They sold me a warped door. I informed Glenn, the salesperson, of the problem which my installer confirmed. Glenn then stated the the manufacturer has a "warp tolerance" of up to 1/4", and therefore Pioneer would take no action. So now I'm stuck with a door that protrudes 3/16" outward from the jamb in one corner. I expected more from this shop and I'm shocked by their indifference to their customers. They are more interested in pleasing their suppliers. If you have high expectations I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

They sold us door that did not match the original order and they refused to take it back unless we pay 25% restocking fee which is almost $200 to cover for their own salesperson's (Jordan Raminis) mistake. Our front door was tired & dated but who knew there's so many options for door and hardware?! Not me. Thankfully Fabian was super patient with me answering every question I had about the door, window formations and hardware setup. Admittedly the door took longer than I expected to arrive but Fabian kept me apprised of status. Bummer we got our lines mixed up on the door handle but Fabian fixed it quickly ordering the correct one. Love our new door! It blocks out more noise and "sounds" secure when you close it. I'm actually downgrading my original post of 3 stars to one star: we have called Marvin multiple times to get the numbers to our house correct and sent to us. He will not call us back. The incorrect numbers are holding up our inspection and prevent us from fully moving into to our remodel. I have a full time job and a baby and definitely don't need this kind of stress. I'm going to ask for a refund and go somewhere else for the numbers. Oh and the door still isn't here because he delayed processing it by a month. Hopefully I'll get it someday.... read more

We spent over $10k buying interior and exterior doors from Belmont Pioneer in spring of 2022 for a recent remodel. During the rains this year, two of our new exterior doors started leaking into the house from their built-in windows. I raised this issue at the shop by speaking with the salesperson and manager in person and on the phone, and our contractor also followed up in January of this year explaining the issue. We were told that while the doors were exterior rated, the overhang from the roofline over the door was insufficient for this exterior door application, despite this information never being disclosed or mentioned during purchase, and the fact that the doors are exterior rated. The sales person and manager, TJ, assured me they will look into this problem and would contact the manufacturer with this information. Despite numerous follow ups on my end (weekly) with the Belmont Pioneer team and pictures provided of the doors over the last 6 months, I'm no further along and my doors still leak. There are other suppliers - take your money elsewhere. read more

Do not do business with John Ingebrigtsen. He is a salesman that does not take responsibility for orders even if he was the one who made errors. We had ordered over $50k of windows and doors which are not cheap. He did not come for measurements and only based our orders on the drawings we sent from our architect. You can guess, the doors were too large than the actual and he is not trying to solve the solution buy asking us to pay and purchase new doors. Not willing resize the doors or try to help the client resolve the problem. read more

I think this is the 3rd time in the 20 years we have lived here that I've been into Belmont Door and after today, I was reminded of what I didn't like the first two times. I'm a home handy-person, often fixing my own stuff because it's more my thing than my husband's. I have a non-standard door at our house that was installed some 35 years ago as an outside entry into an under-the-house storage area that is de-laminating and finally giving up the ghost after it's long life. I came in to Belmont Door (now also Pioneer Millwork) thinking that I might get some information, perhaps some help in fixing this problem without spending a lot for this functional, but certainly not precious door. I'm "greeted" by a person sitting at a computer who yells at me across the room, but then doesn't even look at me when I try to figure out who just yelled "Can I help you?" I explain the situation, and then she directs me to a guy who clearly has no interest in helping me solve my own problem, perhaps proving his expertise by suggesting a creative or smart solution to a non-standard situation. Instead he proceeds to "man-splain" doors to me, telling me "he" will have to put in a whole new frame (he is the mythical man who fixes everything at my house, I presume?). So at the end of what I can only describe as a snarky and condescending interaction, every question met with an annoyed response, he answers my how much a possible replacement door is $1000! That would not include my "he-man installer" and essentially re-building the entire door, frame, siding, etc. Did I mention again that this is essentially a door into a tall crawl space under our house? Sheesh! Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I also notice that a lot of the other negative reviews have been written by women. At any rate, strong "avoid at all costs" review from me. read more

BEWARE!!! We dealt with this company.. My wife spoke to Jory in sales and got a bogus lead time of 3-4 weeks. The door was delivered in 5 weeks like everyone else was quoting. The door that was delivered was the WRONG door because Pioneer Millwork's purchasing department ordered the wrong one. I spoke to the owner Don and received the worst customer service of my life. After his salesman Jory gave us the bogus lead time and their own purchasing department screwed up a 5 week order, Don said that he would do absolutely nothing but credit back my credit card which was already charged for the full amount. Sadly after spending over 35k on new doors and windows fora new house and using pioneer millwork ratter than Marvin office my contractor knew based on statements I took serious from the rep that distance to job site wouldn't matter because I'd get great service, I have to say there was good service during selection but less than spot on attention which caused re-do of several items and one item cost me more due to poor design by rep most frustrating, I'm still waiting nearly 6 months for a striker plate for my Dutch door. Calls and emails unreturned. Disappointed and now wishing I had ordered from contractors Marvin contact. I understand things happen but disappointed that customer service after the sale falls plenty after bill is paid and that's not what I was promised. read more

We did a few projects with Pioneer. Placing the orders went fine. Delivery and support started out great, then went too good, then fair, then poor. In the end, they stopped returning emails so we gave up trying to resolve things and wrote them off. We'd try someone else before going back to them. read more

Twice I've gone to this door store; both times the salesperson was arrogant and demeaning. For example: since I was purchasing a door that would be painted, I asked a 2nd time (!) if I needed to purchase a stain-grade door which is significantly more expensive. The salesman replied that he had already answered that question; that was the lowest grade of door they carried. I wasn't I listening! Belmont door in contrast was very civil and helpful. Doing some door and window trim for the first time. After spending several sleep nights trying to figure out how best to do this, what materials to use, what tools to buy, etc., I gave Troy and Pioneer Millwork a call. He was very helpful over the phone and even more so in person when I dropped by to pick out the moldings I needed. They have samples of most of the moldings, and Troy used them to build 'mini' versions of the header I had in mind. He even ripped and routed some 1x4 since they didn't have a molding that would work perfectly. In every way, it was a very good experience. I recently replaced the door from my kitchen to garage, a project I was not looking forward to. But, Pioneer Millwork made it very easy. They have a great showroom, their shop is pristine, the staff was very helpful and the work they do is excellent. I took my old door to the shop where the quickly checked it for squareness, took all the measurements: hinge position, door knob and latch. They ordered the new door and when it came in (about 1 week) they then cut it to fit. I picked up the new door and installed it. It fit perfectly! read more

The sales staff are subpar and not attentive to detail. The first sales person, Jordy was rude and demeaning. The second, Katey was better but made some major mistakes that caused Pioneer lost revenue. Don the owner had to save the day at the end of the process and he credited back his markup but Don gave me the feeling that that I was at fault for what ended up being a sales issue and not an issue with my installer. read more

I just got a new business and needed a professional door. I wanted to find the right one and was recommended to this place. As soon as I was introduced to two salesman they looked me up and down, only to give me dirty looks, as if I ruined their day-not even a handshake. I was given a hard time on questioning what doors and options they had-they were looking for every excuse possible to get me out of the building. I quickly received the impression that I wasn't wanted their. They brought me in the back and with attitude, told me that they don't have any pictures or models to look at, despite the friendly receptionist who said they had plenty of floor models to look at-plus the floor room they brought me into had plenty of door models but I wasn't shown anything except a no picture booklet with sizes. I was quickly told to put my information down and said I'd get a quote by phone or email then I was dismissed. After leaving I realized I wouldn't get a call back and that the salesman are only interested in making money- zero customer service. It seems if your not going to buy 10 or more doors and aren't willing to over pay for them, then they aren't interested in your business-AT ALL. As a human being, I felt disgusted and as if I was a piece of trash. It definitely ruined my day to have the outlook that I wasn't worthy enough to enter their business, nobody should be treated like that. I used to be a sales manager and though it's different fields it still has a level of integrity with the position that these employees didn't share, they are just rude and lazy plain and simple. The receptionist was very kind and enthusiastic though(kudos to her), I could only hope that they hire a salesman/saleswoman with her sincerity or give her their jobs- someone like her deserves it and will bring referrals and return business. This review is my honest experience and I hope the owner can crack down on these employees as it definitely hurts his business in the long run. read more
