I just picked up my 2018 Tacoma that was damaged by black walnuts from the high wind storm that hit Freehold Nj on July 22nd 2019. There were deep dents all over the roof, hood & right front fender. (It looked like it was used for target practice at a golf driving range). Pinto's had it from 8/19 - 8/30. Most of which was awaiting parts or insurance approval for the necessary work. All i can say is WOW! It looks as if it came off the show room floor all over again. No dust, no over spray, clean as a whistle....perfect. My fastidious neighbor who once worked at a collision shop even said it was excellent work. There are pros and cons for every business out there. I can only speak for my experience here. That is why I'm giving Pinto's 5 stars and thanking Pete with the updates via his phone calls. read more

Seven days ago I dropped off four brand new steel factory truck rims to be painted the same color as my truck plain and simple gave my information to the gentleman we we had a pleasant talk over how easy it would be $200 charge for everything. phone number was given to him and of course my name. The gentleman said they will be ready no problem middle of the week I can come pick him up I said to him I am a truck driver it's going to be very difficult to pick up in the middle of the week I prefer to pick it up the following Saturday when I'm off we agree to it, "no problems at all!" he said, after that we will put them back in the boxes that you brought them in. Fast forward next Saturday, today, rims haven't been touched with excuses of they've been backed up all week they couldn't get to them I told him had you given me a call anytime in the middle of the I would have understood, when you came to the conclusion that you couldn't get to them give me the call on the phone a simple phone call! simple rule of business keep your customers informed show customer service! this place has no customer service, no reliability, absolutely terrible! my opinion is to steer away from pintos Auto Body. I had Branning Auto Body in Freehold do absolute perfect marvelous work on my pickup truck the day I gave my rims to pintos auto body was the day I regretted not sticking with the more professional and reliable Body Shop I am now going to Branning to drop off my rims as I finish this post. good riddance to pintos absolutely horrible customer service and consideration . read more

Pete and his wife treated me like gold today. After a fender bender today State Farm recommended them and I can see why. They gave me an honest evaluation and were more concerned about me than making a profit off me. A true gem...honest people trying to make a living but not ripping people off. I never heard of them before today but I will be singing their praises to everyone in need of auto body repair. Thanks for the quick fix to my bumper and for being so kind. read more

In 2009, Pinto repaired my 2007 Ford Mustang after a hit and run driver damaged by car parked in front of my house. A fender was replaced and the door and hood were repaired and painted. In 2012 my hood is rusting and I took it back to Pinto to look at. They blamed Ford's use of aluminum in their hoods and sent me back to the dealer (Freehold Ford), who blames Pinto for bad prep work. In addition, the paint on the underside of my door handle has peeled off. The people at Pinto seemed very relieved to use Ford as the excuse and you could tell that they were prepared to do nothing even before they came out and looked at the car. I expect more from a local business. read more

Unfortunately, customer service is a lost art and Pinto's is the real life personification of that loss. Earlier today I entered the shop and a young lady at the front desk greeting me with the following words, "what's up?" Really, that's how you great customers? Sadly, this kind of attitude and behavior is not an anomaly. General speaking, the staff doesn't smile and getting questions answered about the work they perform seems to be a nuisance. There work is good but, they lack the ability to connect on a personal level. And, that is too bad. This was the second and last time doing business with this shop. read more

Pintos was referred to me by NJM insurance to repair the rear quarter panel of my 2009 Infiniti. When told my car was ready, I picked it up to find my battery cover on the front seat and the interior covered with paint dust. The black interior actually looked grey. Not impressed. read more

My family has been using this shop for many years and the quality of work has really declined. I had a Lexus repaired there which required the headlight getting replaced. On this vehicle the headlights turn when the vehicle turns. The headlight that was installed was the wrong headlight. I brought the vehicle back and explained to them the situation and Pete insisted it was a programming issue and he needs to consult his programmer. He refused to accept that the shop installed the wrong headlight. A simple phone call to Lexus I was given the correct part number at which time I provided to Pete. Needless to say they had to install the proper headlight. Another vehicle I took there was a Ram pickup after it was damaged by a deer. They had my truck for about 3 weeks and when they called me to pick it up I went over the truck and found numerous issues. First the truck was filthy, the mats were practically black, there was dust all inside the cab. Second there was a piece missing from the back bumper that I pointed out to Pete and he said it wasn't there when I brought it in and went inside the shop to check with the mechanics inside. As he was inside I found the piece in the bed of the truck. When Pete returned before he knew I found the piece he said the guys in the shop said it wasn't on there when I brought the truck in. I told him the piece was found in the bed. Right there shows the credibility of the shop. Next there was overspray on the rubber of the truck at which time Pete took the truck back into the shop and had them remove the over spray. The check engine light was on, the truck only had 29000 miles roughly and when I pointed that out to Pete he said that isn't from the shop and he would have to call his program guy in to do a diagnostic and if the insurance company refused to pay the diagnostic fee I would have to pay it. Turns out the check engine light was on because they had the gas cap off when they painted the truck and it tripped the sensor when the truck was started, again Pete denied responsibility. There was a piece of molding missing from the door I had to go back and have the shop order the piece which arrived a week later but it was the wrong piece. Finally about 4 days later the right piece arrived and was installed. Lastly there were two different shades of color inside the gas area by the gas door where they attempted to wet sand it out but it was still very clear there were two different shades. I stated to Pete my frustrations with the shop and his response was that he is the wrong guy to tell and the right guy to speak to was inside the shop. Being that Pete was the wrong guy to express my concerns I feel it is best to share my experience to the public. There is no quality control over their work and they are pushing vehicles out of the shop without ensuring the work is properly done. read more
