Terrible service. I brought my truck there in June of 2024 for a front bumper repair. They quoted my insurance $4100 for the fix. In October after months of trying to contact them about my parts on "back order" I decided to cancel my service with them. They then took a $600 service fee off of the check I deposited. My insurance company called and tried to reason with them that since they never had any parts delivered for the repair there should not be a service fee. Sadly they decided to keep the $600 and only returned $3500 of the initial deposit. Super shady business that clearly does not care about its costumers and only their pockets. read more

I have used Collex in the past and had good experiences till recently. My daughter had a collision and I told her to take the car to Collex for an estimate. The associate at Collex refused to do a documented estimate and said the repairs would cost around $4000. I recently received the estimate and it was less than $2000, repairs are underway and I will not be using Collex again. A while back, my car was hit and the other driver was in a company truck. There was minor damage. The company did not have insurance on that truck, nor was the driver/employee insured. I needed to get a couple of estimates since the company truck owner said he would pay out-of-pocket. I went to 3 different body shops. The first 2 had estimates done within a half hour. Being that my husband and I used to work in the auto body industry, I went to Collex for an estimate knowing how their operations worked and how their jobs were scheduled compared to other shops. I was told I would have to make an appointment. Mind you, they have several "in-house" estimators and there were no other customers in their office at the time. It seems to me that in this day and age, any business would surely welcome business, regardless of the amount of the job. Needless to say, I didn't make an appointment. Did previously use them (around 2010) which was great and made me come back . Absolutely disappointed about warranty on a job done in 2012 where now became visible they did a the job wrong. I showed them a few weeks ago to check on the warranty but the answer was that it wasn't them, it was a crack caused by someone scraping our car. While that might have been true, I had 2 independent knowledgeable folks (the last one being the gent that fixed the issue - absolutely great job from what I can tell now) confirm they did the wrong job and the crack should not have caused any of the rust and/or bubbling that happened after that. I got some pictures to show that issue. But I ended up paying for something that should have been warranty. read more

I would never do business with colex ever again. They try to get a extra dollar every where they can. The customer service is the worst, they told me the car was going to be done on the 20th early morning then when calling them on the 20th to tell them i was on my way to pick up the car they told me it wont be done until the end of the day. The lady at the front desk is rude and they also asked me to pay more then what the insurance claim check was for. When to pick up the car today and was very angry with quality of the work. The paint of the car is completely different from the original, scratches all over the car and paint splashes all over the car. Waited a whole month for nothing please same your self time and look for a different place. I'm even missing things from my car. I had college books in the car and they are all gone. I can't believe that they would steal from my vehicle. They said they did an alignment on my car but my car is driving worse then before and now my steering wheel in vibrating. I've never actually used collex but went there on two separate occasions for estimates. Both times they conducted a free review of my car, and actually recommended that we didn't need to fix the car or to go to a different location as it might ne cheaper that way. I think that speaks volumes of a place, they seem to actually get you to try and spend as little as possible and would actually recommend things that don't turn a profit for their own business. The customer service here is really good as well. You can usually tell how a business is going to be by the way the receptionist answers the phone. Both times the receptionist was great and presented a professional and friendly attitude while talking on the phone. Ivan who I assume is one of their managers was also great. He helped push out a dent in our car for free and even offered to drive my family home because he thought that we we had to use the damaged car as our means of transportation to go back home. I've never spent a dime here on two trips, but felt like I received hundreds of dollars in free customer service. I would use Collex again without hesitation. read more
