Maybe if there wasn't a timer, they advertise letting a 12 people go in one lane and if everyone took 1 minute, you could only go through 5 rounds before the sixty minute is up and there's 12 rounds I think. really stupid idea. Plus our lane kept breaking down which took like 15 minutes. But our sever (don't know her name but was a short and sweet lady) was awesome plus Nate gave us free passes to make up for there mistake. Food is outstanding with a variety of choices. Service and ambiance exceeded our expectations. We continue to return for the beef dip au jus and BLT. Our server was 5 star. Been here twice. Dissatisfied with the food each time. At best, I would rate the food as less than average. Small portions, which would be somewhat acceptable if the food was actually good. Also no consistency with the temps. My food was cold, my wife's was warm, and the 'appetizer', which they served with the entrees instead of separate as intended, was hot. Appetizers are to be served immediately so that you can nibble on them while you wait for (hopefully) good entrees. And my other gripe is that I do not understand who is in charge of selecting the beers which are on tap. An example is IPA, which is very popular - there are so many incredible local breweries here in the bay area to chose from, and to have Racer 5 by Beer Republic as the only IPA on tap and Racer 7 as the only bottled IPA - for real? Such a terrible beer. And the restroom (singular). A one toilet restroom? One person can use it at a time, lock the door, then one has to wait for it to become unoccupied? Unacceptable for an establishment of this size. I am giving two stars simply because Pinstripes has a decent atmosphere. And to think, we all waited in anticipation for such a long time for this new place to open. What a let down. I can honestly say that we will not be back. read more

Place is gorgeous inside and everyone was nice but not what I expected. Restaurant wasn't even 50% full. Our food - 2 sandwiches took wayyyy too long to make. I ordered the grill cheese. It was a double decker sandwich with maybe 3 slices of cheese. The French fries arrived so cold that we asked for them to be warmed. They brought us new fries. They were cold as well. The restrooms are at the back of the building and there is an awkward "bocce court" along the wall there. Awful design. There was a bday party there and there is not room for people to stand at the court and others walk by. Also, the bocce court felt like they had a small space leftover that they decided to lay some fake grass down. The one plus, you can't hear the bowling upstairs downstairs at all. Found the 2nd bocce court upstairs, also felt like an after thought with a piece of fake grass against the wall. I would stop in for a drink if I'm having dinner down on the area, but they need to work on their food before id go the restaurant again. read more

We had an evening reservation of 2 lanes. The staff allowed the party ahead of us to overstay their reservation pushing us about 30 minutes late. When we arrived at the lanes they were dirty...shoes left all over the floor, balloons from the previous bowlers and popcorn trash everywhere. And to top it off, the lane shut down when our hour was up and we had to look for an attendant to turn it back on for the remaining 30 minutes. It was really dirty and gross. No instructions on where to grab the shoes or what they wanted in terms of borrowing and returning. It was overall disappointing and dirty. We don't plan to be back. The lane space upstairs is very small. It's not a bowling alley...just a restaurant with a few over priced lanes. I'd rather drive to Dublin for a way better experience. read more

I made a reservation for Saturday 1/18 at 2pm via open table. When I arrived there with the rest of my group, the "sales mananger" said there are private events and unable to seat us. I told him I was able to book on open table. He had no idea the restaraunt was on open table and said he couldn't seat us since they have private events. It would be good idea to block reservations online and open table if there are events as I could have made reservations elsewhere! read more

I was here for a company Christmas party. The layout is strange and really broken up. Considering the place is called Pinstripes you would think the bowling and bocce would be more of a focal point to draw people in. Instead they hid it upstairs, almost like it was an after thought. The event space was kind of small and the party felt cramped because of the lack of space. They only had primary bartender working our party and then a few other servers who were also handling the 1st floor, seemed like it was not well staffed. The main issue I had was they had run out of non-alcoholic beer so I had no drink to enjoy. It's already hard being a non-drinker in a party atmosphere and the Heineken zero's kind of save me from wanting to have a real one. I even called ahead to make sure they had them, which they replied yes. Very upsetting, imagine a bar running out of regular beer on a busy evening? Someone's head would roll, but because it was non-alcoholic beer, they could have cared less, oh sorry were out. I asked them to send someone down the street to Whole foods and buy some more and they literally laughed at me. I even offered to go for them. I wasn't kidding and was not happy with the response. Anyways I guarantee I'll be recommending another location for next years Christmas party. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. We sat at a table for over an hour before someone came over. The food was mediocre and the music was dated. There were children doing doughnuts in front of the establishment and overall it was not a nice place to spend your child's birthday. The best part of this place were the nice hostess and waiters but you can tell this company is completely mismanaged. read more

We got up to the bowling quickly, and that part was super straightforward and fun. Our waiter was very quick and nice. the service itself was awesome. The food was just sooooo disappointing. The wings were soggy, nothing to actually bite into. We probably ate 3/12 of them. We ordered the shoe string fries and I get that they're supposed to be super thin fries.....but there was zero potato in it. It was a plate of long tiny little chips. Thankfully kids loved em. If they stepped up their food game they'd have a 10/10 situation. The bar/staff is amazing. read more

I'm so pleased with my experience here. My fiancé and I decided to come here for a last minute happy hour and they let us squeeze in our order in time before the happy hour time closed out. We ordered two $5 beers, a Diet Coke since I don't drink much, a pepperoni pizza, and a Caesar salad to share. My fiancé loved both of the beers and the salad dressing was SOOOO! Plus the croutons were definitely homemade because there were refectory soft in the center. The pizza was okay, but wouldn't order again. Very thin crust and just not my style, but good flavor overall. It's a little loud inside, but makes for a fun day night spot as well sat at the bar and enjoyed each others company. Our waitress topped off my finances beer for FREE and was super attentive while serving everyone else at the bar. The owners gave us free wristbands to come back for $1 wine AND two 25% coupons for when we come back. Great customer service and people who care about their business. I live in Walnut Creek and had been excited to take my family to pinstripes since there are no bowling alleys near by. We arrived 15 min early, at the time of our reservation we tried to pay and used a gift card we had received to pay a portion of the bill. It took almost 25 minutes to resolve the processing of our gift card. They did not know how to process an electronic gift card. Once playing in our lane we ordered some food items. Fries and a margherita pizza. A drink was brought to our table and we asked the waiter whose drink that was and he said we ordered it. That we ordered a Margarita italiano. I explained that we did not as we don't drink and to please change it. The miscommunication was not the issue but rather the waiters attitude and approach insisting I had ordered it but that the customer is always right so he'd change it. He repeated this to me at least three times. This was an outing for my birthday I reserved so I didn't appreciate the argumentativeness from the waiter. I don't drink, never even looked at the drink menu so I'm sure this was a simple mistake on his part. But instead of correcting & explaining there was a miscommunication he argued with us in our lane loudly next to the family who was playing the lane next to us. Needless to say not a great experience and we won't be back or recommending it to family as we had planned. read more

Brought my family here for brunch a couple times and it's always been a great experience!! The menu is extensive and there's little not to like. Personal highlights are the biscuits and gravy and the Brussel sprouts! On the standard dinner menu I favor the lobster mac and cheese! This place is really pretty and the food was great but the employees aren't very helpful. Went for brunch after looking on the website it says $35 per person but we were charged 70 plus per person! They don't really list out what they charge you for on the receipt just has the total amount owed. It was super packed and they don't keep track of what tables are available or if they have any space available. You have to find a table on your own and seating is very limited. We weren't told the name of our server so we couldn't figure out how to find her. We left our table and went to the front desk to pay and were followed by a guy who basically tried to insinuate that we were trying to skip paying while we were literally at the desk to pay. Kinda sad because it's really a nice place but they need more employees or better communication. read more

Honestly I'm super bummed about what they did with this space. Walnut Creek has so many young families and this could have been such a value to the neighborhood. But this is so geared towards the corporate world. It's stale, frumpy, and so clinical inside! Awful decor, workers in stuffy corporate clothing. Not at all warm, inviting, or somewhere I want to spend a few hrs. WHY is it so heavily geared towards a corporate setting?! We need family friendly and community driven places to go. Wow they spared no cost! Trained professionals from other locations staying in hotels until this one was up and running. The staff is pleasant and professional. After about 10 minutes-- and three groups being served before us despite them arriving after-- I went inside again to ask if someone could come and at least give us menus and waters. I know they just opened but they have a lot of work to do. The service was probably the worst I have every had. We played Bocce Ball and ordered appetizers and drinks. Everything came but one drink and the server said the bar was running slow and he would bring it out in a few minutes. After 30 minutes we had to order the drink again. When we were ready to leave I had to ask for the check three times and wait 30 min just so I could pay. They did take all the drinks off the bill which was nice. Made a 2 hour - 4pm bowling reservation last night. Kids all excited for family bowling night, only to have the girls at the desk upon arrival say "they were so sorry but they overbooked reservations and we wouldn't be able to bowl until 515pm and we'd only be able to go for an hour." They suggested we sit down to eat first and wait out the hour. We sit down,and the girl comes over and apologizes once again saying that unfortunately they looked at the reservations and they don't have room for us at all and they encourage to go back online to made a future reservation. What a disaster! A reservation should be a guaranteed thing not to show up with your two small kids to be told Your whole night was basically canceled. No discount on our dinner - but they did overcharge us and we had to correct them on the bill. A concession or a manager coming to apologize would have been appreciate but we got neither. read more

Santa was very nice for little ones. Food was just okay. Place is noisy. Food service was slow because it was crowded. Seated for over 15 minutes before waitress came to the table. The issue is that I made the reservation via Tock, it showed the Santa brunch as 45 per adult. I was charged 48 per adult and manager could not help even after I showed him where it said 45. Handed me a couple coupons for 25 percent off next visit after he said the system shows 48 and it's the Tock system and he can't override it. Waitress first told me that it was 48 because the tax was included and it was 45 and 3 dollars tax even though the tax was a separate line item. She advised that the manager will need to handle. Poor customer service all around. It's the principle and not the extra 3 bucks per adult. That's exactly what happened and no excuses for their poor handling of the matter. Reservations are made through Tock so everyone was charged 48 per adult today and maybe other Santa brunches. read more
