We checked into the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel as hungry travelers and had no idea the delightful treats that awaited us at the bowling alley nearby! We arrived Friday at 5:30 PM, just in time for happy hour! I haven't felt this excited to write a Yelp review in quite some time. The food and service was exceptional at Pinstripes. Server Ryan and Manager Tony took excellent care of us! We enjoyed several of the chefs' seasonally inspired dishes including the Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower starter (OH MY GOD!), Burrata Caprese (beautifully plated) and the Ultimate Veggie flatbread (Who knew veggies could taste this good?!). My husband enjoyed their classic prime rib dip that was delectable! Their most beloved handcrafted cocktail is the Margarita Italiano, a delightful surprise of Don Julio tequila and Limoncello. The Pinstripe's cheesecake with berry compote and homemade whip cream was a delicious finish to this fabulous evening! We will absolutely return the next time we travel through Northbrook. We stuck around for a complimentary round of bocce ball. read more

Have only bowled here in the past with the kids and their friends. So my familiarity with there food was kind of lacking. I had no idea just how big the dining area are, not to mention the outdoor area in back. Today was the perfect day to dine alfresco. We sat outside under a huge umbrella. There is outdoor seating for approximately sixty with a great fire pit with 7 Adirondack chairs for chilly nights. She ordered the Turkey Cobb salad which was the perfect lunch size. Compliments all around for the freshness, plating and the delicious dressing. I had the poke bowl. It was amazing. I've never had watermelon in a poke before but this bowl had them and was packed with flavor. Each bite had a combination of exquisite flavors. I was impressed. Their beer and wine menu is healthy, lots of Prisoner brand wines, my fav. Service was ok, not great but there was only one server and there were six tables including us. She was very friendly and apologetic when things were running a little slow. That counts for a lot in my book. No need for a reservation on a Saturday afternoon, the place does tend to fill up as the day progresses. read more

This is a nice enough place to bowl. My son and I have been going here for a long time every Saturday and really enjoyied ourselves. We have been paying $30 for an hour of bowling and we get some food, too. Not the cheapest price for bowling or food, but it's a popular place. Today we showed up and they've raised their price to $80 -- for one hour on a lane! They raised their price 167%! That's just ridiculous. As far as I can tell, I don't think tariffs effect the price of bowling. I'm all for capitalism, so they can charge what they want, but the nice thing about capitalism is that we don't have to patronize them any longer. We'll definitely be finding a new place to bowl. read more

I ordered a Turkey Cobb salad through Uber Eats. The salad was $19. It was really smaller than it used to be, with only one hard boiled egg, less bacon bits, less avocado, and less turkey. Probably unlikely to order it again as it was not worth $19! read more

Went for brunch today and very disappointed. At a $35 price point expected more. The only fresh fruit was watermelon, bagels were stale and much of the food was not fresh. On the positive side waffles were good. Service was poor and overall not a good experience. Will not visit again. read more

So I was there for a birthday party. I ordered what the menu said was an Angus burger. I ordered it medium rare. It came 30 mins later like a hockey puck. It was also chared with 2 very chared burnt lines down the middle. It does not say char burger on the menu, if it had I would not have ordered it. It was like eating burnt char. It was horrible. read more

Usually love this place, but not this time. Made a reservation for lunch on a Saturday. Wanted a 12:45 slot, but it wasn't available so I chose the 1:45 slot. We arrived a few minutes early and were told that their dinner menu starts at 2:00 and we would have to order from the dinner menu even though my reservation was for 1:45. So, we left very disappointed. Of course, the dinner menu is more expensive. Do better, Pinstripes! read more

Nice and very clean. This is not your father's dingy bowling alley....but also NOT as cheap either. I noticed a lot of technical issues others were having. The food is just okay. The waitresses were spread pretty thin and the customers noticed. read more

I made my first visit to Pinstripes Northbrook for a work party last month. It's a sports entertainment facility combined with a restaurant and bar. The entertainment provides bocce ball and bowling. We didn't partake in the bocce and bowling as both are separate costs and each sport charges by the hour. Note: Reserving a spot on the weekend costs more versus the weekday. They have a few party rooms and toward the back of the restaurant, there was a wedding in progress. My husband and I got a chance to try the weekend brunch buffet and it was delicious. The variety of food was amazing and there was a good mix of breakfast and lunch items. We especially enjoyed the omelet station, the carving station (which had prime rib), and the chocolate fountain. At $37 pp, it's a nice facility. The food and service was great. It's the perfect spot to celebrate special occasions and if I need to plan an event, Pinstripes would be on the top of my list. read more

So this my third time going to Pinstripes, but my second time going to this location. Last time I was here at the Glenview location, I had gone bowling with my family and had dinner. This time, I'm here celebrating my aunt's wedding anniversary. This would also be my second time eating from their Brunch menu. I also love that the brunch menu is buffet style so their a variety of foods. Not sure how different the Brunch menu was going to be, but I'm glad I enjoy it. Entering this region, the atmosphere was very lively and it's very easily to socialize with other customers. The only con I can think of, is that you have to make reservations ahead of time, otherwise I would definitely recommend taking your family to Pinstripes for brunch, but the brunch menu was similar. If I had to pick a favorite out of the Brunch I would go directly for the Roast Brisket. I love the broiled chicken. I usually get a thigh. I would definitely come here for brunch again. read more

I was here for an event and the food was great! The servers did a great job. The event also had a couple of bowling lanes which was something fun and different to do. We were there for a rehearsal dinner, but that would be a great ice breaker or a great team building experience for any corporate events! I'll definitely be back! read more

One of the worst places that I've ever been. The food was mediocre, it's not crowded and it takes 45 minutes to find a manager to change a channel. We're trying to watch the NBA finals and they have SEC baseball on 45 TV's. If this place goes bankrupt, the response will be - "can't believe they lasted that long." read more

Wow. What can I say about my wedding at Pinstripes? It was AMAZING!!! We worked with Sami and Andrea for a whole year and some change planning our wedding. They were so great with communication, answering a million questions, and answering emails in a timely manner. Pinstripes itself is such a beautiful venue and the food is SO GOOD. Everyone at our wedding couldn't stop talking about the dinner. Pinstripes is a great choice for a wedding because their spaces are unique and you can transform them into your style. They offer packages so you're not dealing with a million vendors and their staff is kind and attentive. I would 100% have another event here! read more

Went on NYE. I understand things are busy on holidays, but this was just unacceptable. They were having an event for kids on NYE with a noon time ball drop. Great. Except for we booked our Bocce court at 1:30 pm and there were still kids everywhere, running around unsupervised . We had to yell at random children multiple times to get off our bocce court while we were actively playing. Multiple children were kicking or moving our bocce balls and messing up our game, and the staff did absolutely nothing about it. Why would you have a giant event but accept reservations for courts while there is a giant event actively going on on the courts. The entire building was so hot, and in the women's downstairs bathroom there was no soap (even though they told me the first time I tried to use the bathroom I couldn't go in because their maintenance team was working on the soap machine) and it was probably 80 degrees in the bathroom with the heat blasting. Horrible, overwhelming, super uncomfortably hot, and overall unenjoyable. read more

Happy hour weekdays until 6:30pm, variety of items. I'd say on the price side for portions as compared to some other happy hours around. The food is tasty though. The pizza is a bit small and most underwhelming of the bunch we tried. The calamari was good and the cheeseburger sliders were really good as well. But for price I'd probably go elsewhere. Service is good here but giving 3stars mainly for the pricing. Yelp check in for sorbet or gelato, 3 large scoops in a waffle bowl! The bowling area is nice, its priced by the hour and shoes are separate. So you can bowl as many games as you can in 1 hour. The couches are comfortable and you can also order food for the bowling area. read more

Fine dining WHERE? In a bowling alley? Yes! An invite to a birthday party in Pinstripes' bocce ball wing several months ago introduced us to this venue. The other night, we returned with friends to enjoy a fine dinner in their contemporary dining room. If a ball fling isn't your thing, you can come here just to dine and/or enjoy a drink at the bar, which features a broad selection of wine and beer. BTW, the bowling alley itself is behind a soundproof glass wall. A reservation mixup was the only 'gutter ball' we encountered all evening. The dinner menu, updated seasonally, features sandwiches, salads, and Italian specialties including wood-fired pizzas and flatbread, pasta dishes, and entrées. Our server, pleasant and attentive, seemed to know the menu backwards and forwards. A basket of freshly-baked flatbread sliced into narrow strips was brought with a bowl of herbed olive oil for dipping. I began with a Caesar salad, which was elevated by a rich dressing and generous shavings of Parmesan. I'm fond of jambalaya and gave their "Italian Jambalaya" entrée a go. Pinstripes' inventive take on this Louisiana classic was attractively plated and amazingly good, I daresay even better than the classic Cajun recipe. My Missus was 'bowled over' by the boneless short rib, a rich-tasting hunk of tender beef accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and charred broccolini. Others in our party raved about how enjoyable their sandwiches were, particularly the "Famous Prime Rib Dip." Next time, we'll try to save room for dessert. All desserts, including the gelato, are made in house. read more

Disappointed with Pinstripes. Sat on this review for multiple weeks before posting to allow time for Pinstripes to respond/reach out, but the lack of response is now as infuriating as the actual sleight. Over the course of that time, I've exhausted my efforts to contact Pinstripes. I submitted multiple submissions via their online contact page requesting contact, providing callback and email each time, and attempted unsuccessfully to call the restaurant to speak with an available manager to resolve this issue amicably. I searched, but could not find any alt corporate numbers. This could not have been resolved day of, since there's a delay in credit card processing. In my opinion, way too much effort on my end to get to the bottom of this. In dispute: My receipt from 12NOV2022, and what I recorded as total, differed (not in my favor) from what was actually charged to my credit card. I immediately contacted, and requested a copy of my signed receipt to compare, knowing myself as to unlikely record a different amount, or how the total rounded up to a whole dollar, not my tipping behavior. No response as of writing. I caution those that do patronize, to take a photo of what you tip to their server at this location. Somewhere in-between from what I signed for, to where it was entered in their system got adjusted in their server's favor. Please make this right Pinstripes. Payment is currently in-dispute with VISA. Pinstripes was provided my email and telephone number. If they want to discuss this off a public platform, they have the means to contact me. My fiancé and i went here on a whim in search of bottomless mimosas. We were not dissapointed, we each had our own carafe and the bottomless was only $18 each. Additionally, the food was buffet style and boy was it good. They had prime rib, smoked salmon, bacon galore, as well as they made omelette and Belgian waffles as you ordered. The inside was very nice and spacious built for adults and kids alike, bocce ball was available. I would definitely go back here read more

Service is very lacking, though. Been here on 4 separate occasions from busy to dead, and there is a constant. The front of the house is not well trained. They gaggle around the service bar waiting for their drink orders while customers are literally waving their hands for attention. The bar is a focal point, the bartender should not leave for 5 minutes to go get a side for someone's plate that was sent out wrong, delegate! Servers should not walk by a table with dirty dishes on it to go chat with a colleague; grab a couple plates then chat. The service industry is fun, but sucks when you are in the weeds, teamwork bros! You should not have to see a manager when somebody is pissed. Just sayin. Work front, back and bar for years, Applebee's to high end, so I've been there. Work smarter and profits will show. Short ribs were great tonight! read more

This place was lots of fun! The atmosphere was classy but there was bowling? I don't know how they managed that but I'm here for it. Now, I think the past I didn't like was the long wait time. We did have a larger group but the restaurant was not that busy and it took wayyyy too long to put our order in. However, the food was very worth the wait. It was delicious. Getting out again after being vaccinated is great! Pinstripes has a nice patio that makes the transition more comfortable. We met my sis and bro-in-law for an early dinner. Drinks were good. And my food was great. Service is friendly, but a bit slow. I still gave it four stars because it was so nice to sit and relax and catch up, so even if the service was slow, it was ok for that evening. We got a hummus appetizer. It had two kinds of hummus with veggies and pita. Delish. My burger had this amazing sauce and a fried jalapeño on top. It had fried onion rings on it. I took them off and ate them separately. I loved every thing about my burger. I ate half and took half home for lunch the next day. It was still good. All in all, a lovely evening out. We enjoyed a ourselves in spite of the slow service.... maybe because of it! read more

I've been here a few times now for brunch, bocce, or bowling, and all can be enjoyable. It's a great space and the staff is very nice. My only complaint is that the brunch buffet can be very hit or miss, especially if you arrive in the last hour or two. I arrived at 1 pm (it closes at 2) and they were already clearly ready to wrap up and not putting out fresh food. Nearly everything I had was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. Kind of disappointing considering that it's not a cheap meal by any means, but what can you do. read more

We were looking to dining here for Easter Brunch. We had a reservation. They over booked tables and were told we would not be seated for close to one hour. Came on a whim for some bowling and had a party of 8 on a Sunday evening. The front desk was fairly unhelpful since we were a walk in and were telling us they can only one lane for 45 minutes since they had a large party coming up. We were fine with having one bowling lane and had a nice server taking care of us. They also have happy hour specials from 4-6:30pm which was awesome. We ended up getting a large pitcher of red sangria which definitely enough for a party of 8! We asked the front desk if there's a possibility to continue playing. They only allowed us 15 minutes more and then we would have to leave according to the front desk. Wish we would've stayed longer since we noticed lots of lanes were completely opened. Paid about $105 for drinks including tip. read more

I have not bowled or played Boccie at Pinstripes, but I've enjoyed so many wonderful evenings with friends in the bar area & restaurant. Who would think a chain in a burb would have such wonderful food and beverages?! What first caught my interest about Pinstripes was running into one of their chefs at a local farmers market on a Saturday whipping up a pasta dish with fresh local ingredients. I was intrigued! Some of the items on their menu are a bit pricey, but they have happy hour specials, so we can go for a drink and an appetizer sometimes and save a bit. It we want to splurge on a special occasion we will visit Pinstripes on the weekend and eat in the restaurant. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. The establishment has a cozy feel despite being a large place. They do have several rooms and areas for corporate and events and parties. It's a popular place for Bar & Bat MItzvahs in our area. I actually attended a work holiday party that was held in one of the upstairs rooms one year and was surprised by how nice the event was - the food was good and that doesn't always happen at holiday parties! Because of it being a popular place for parties it can be a bit loud at times, but it's the nature of the establishment. Recently my husband and I had dinner in the bar area. I had an arugula pear salad with salmon and it was divine. My husband enjoyed their burger. We are already looking forward to our next Pinstripes date! read more

First visit: heat was set to 76 during a hot day, a member of our party collapsed and we had to leave after just 30 minutes. Second visit: We came for bocce and lunch. After 35 minutes, no one had come to take our order. The bocce courts are so crooked, pieces are missing, and the balls are cracked and have holes. It was like some weird joke. Total time paid for across both visits: 4 hours. Total time used: 1 hour. Waste of time and money. Staff didn't care to resolve problems either time. Avoid. read more

Came here with a large group for bowling. I haven't bowled in years and I feel like alleys are becoming less common to find. I had a great time here! The venue itself is very large and has a very California vibe to it. There's a seating area upstairs as well as a bar downstairs. We had breakfast and lunch here. I'll start off with the positive. The flatbreads were amazing, and the place was kept very clean. However, it's way too expensive to go bowling. It cost me $150 for five people for two hours. Dinner menu prices were OK ranging from 15 to 20 bucks per item. It was a Monday night and it took 40 minutes for the waitress to bring me my Pepsi and my wife her mock tail. She just kept disappearing and paying Jo attention to our lane. Aside from that, and it being really hot inside the building, the atmosphere was nice and the family had a good time. Will probably not go back, however. read more
