    Lamb Tagliatelle

After a fun day at the Azalea festival, this was great spot to fuel up on food before hitting the road! Our server was excellent at explaining the menu items that change daily. It was neat knowing that they support local as much as possible, and create a lot of things in house! The Lamb Tagliatelle was the clear winner for us, with the delicious house made noodles and tender slices of lamb. The oysters tasted very fresh, and I loved all three varieties they had to offer. The chicken sandwich, however, has a bit of an odd taste that was either due to the strawberry barbecue sauce or the slaw, but the chicken itself was quite good. The fries were nice and crispy as well. I was also a fan of the homemade bread. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for unique dishes and a cool interior vibe, all while supporting local!

Fantastic meal at Pinpoint in downtown Wilmington! Modern atmosphere and friendly staff as you walk in the door. Our reservation was seated right away and they acknowledged our birthday celebration with a toast and a sign. This farm to table restaurant had a great variety of options for appetizers and entrees, all in season. Cocktails were very well crafted. Food was amazing! Everything we had was incredibly fresh and had dynamic flavors. We didn't have room for dessert but they all sounded great. Definitely a top notch restaurant!

I've been to Pinpoint three times now and all of the times were great. Menu is always changing so keeps it interesting. Most of the food and ingredients are local too, so that's nice. Parking garage and lot are right across the street or if you're lucky you can park on the street. From the most recent visit, we started off with the assorted pickled carrots, cucumbers, green beans, cauliflower, and parsnip. I liked the green beans the most because it had more seasoning, was the most flavorful. The one I liked the least was parsnip, only because I'm not a big parsnip fan. The rest of the pickled vegetables were very vinegary. For dinner, I had the spear caught grouper which came with a mixture of spring peas, black-eyed peas, asparagus, cooked collard greens, flavored with herbs and fresh mint, mezcal strawberry beurre rouge sauce. Black Eyed Peas mixture had a tinge of spiciness. My partner had the 1855 NY strip 48, which came with smoked carrots, asparagus, mushrooms, parsnip purée and a chimichurri sauce. Both of our dishes were delicious, wish I could make these at home. What could've been better is if the collard greens were cut into smaller pieces as they were just long strands I had to keep slurping up. Regardless, I loved the abundance of vegetables. Also had complementary bread, which was good, fresh, served with butter. Would've been better if they were served warm though. Bread is made in-house. For dessert, we tried the German chocolate cake with a coconut and pecan filling, cacao nibs, salted caramel and dulce de leche served with a scoop of house made vanilla ice cream. It was so divine and perfect! One of the best desserts ever and best ice cream. It hit all the spots with different textures and flavor. It was like a brownie cake. To celebrate my birthday they sat us at the booth seat right at the window, which was fine. But it was a little annoying to eat dinner at the time right when the sun was going down, with the sun shining in my face. At least it made for good people watching. Limited high chairs are available.

After realizing I had an expiring Save30 and an engagement to celebrate, my fiancé and I made a reservation for a Tuesday night dinner at PinPoint. I noted in our reservation that we were celebrating, so our awesome waiter, Ryan, started us off with sparkling rose to celebrate! The menu all looked amazing, so it was hard to narrow down the options. We finally decided to split the honey carrot salad to start. It had whipped goat cheese, honeyed roasted carrots, and salad, along with something to add crunch, and was delicious! Then I had the rose martini which was lovely, and the grouper entree- so fresh and tasty! My fiance had the strip steak, cooked medium. It honestly was one of the best steaks either of us have had in quite awhile! Then we shared the basque cheesecake with berries for dessert. Ryan added a candle to it for us which was so sweet! Great experience, nothing rushed, not loud, delicious food.

PinPoint is all about giving you the freshest local ingredients and putting a unique spin on dishes. Because of that, the menu is always changing so be sure to check before you visit as it is a smaller menu. We tried the seafood pasta which used a delicious sourdough noodle and pesto cream sauce. We also enjoyed the mushroom peach bbq platter. The sauce was sweet but the smoked carrots gave it a nice balance. Lastly, we tried the fingerling potatoes which were crispy, garlicky and everything you'd want. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. Best I've had in awhile. Everyone was attentive, genuinely friendly, were passionate about the menu and food. I would recommend for a special meal!

My wife and I come out from SoCal about 1-2 times a year to visit family. We always look forward to eating places we'll never get back home. Waffle House is our East Coast In n Out (don't judge us). We gotta have it every time we visit. Our new place, however, is PinPoint. Everything is absolutely top notch. The bread, the wine, the cocktails the oysters. Everything is expertly prepared and tastes heavenly. They were even kind enough to accommodate my sister in law's allergies and preferences by totally changing the sauce she got with her fish. Our server was highly knowledgeable and super kind. I can't wait to come back. Pinpoint is our new must have every time we visit. See y'all next year!

I loved the experience! A beautiful restaurant with some of the nicest bartenders I have ever met! They were very personable. The art in the restaurant was beautiful and gave it the perfect touch. I tried multiple dishes, nothing I didn't enjoy.

PinPoint lives up to its reviews and reputation. This is an excellent restaurant. Menu isn't large but they execute everything very well. Great place for a special occasion. Just note. It is expensive. Know that before you go. Also, make a reservation. You can do this online and via Open Table.

This place was such a gem. Located in Historic Downtown Wilmington, PinPoint is the perfect place to sample all of Wilmington's finest. We booked a reservation with OpenTable and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet and spacious the restaurant was. Our server talked us through each of the items on the menu and we tried a good amount of everything! The oysters were our favorite by far, they had a juicy saltiness to them that I just loved. We ordered the pimento cheese as our other appetizer as well as the local mahi and local grouper for our entrees. Both dishes were incredibly unique in their flavor profile and were the PERFECT size. Dessert was again a perfectly sized apple skillet that capped off a fantastic visit to Wilmington!

We dropped in for drinks only tonight as we were headed next door to "Channel" for a YES Event. Nate the bartender nailed these drinks this evening with the perfect summer cocktails, the wife's Victuallers Word and My Clergy's Cooler were just amazing and made with Nate's hands. Well Done Brother!

What a fantastic evening at Dram Yard…read more We were a little concerned we might miss our 5:30 reservation after getting delayed by a seven-car accident on the bridge, but we arrived just a couple of minutes late and it wasn't an issue at all. From the moment we arrived, the experience was relaxed, welcoming, and exactly what we needed. We chose to sit in the beautiful courtyard, and with temperatures in the 70s, sunshine overhead, and a gentle breeze, it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. The outdoor gazebo bar creates a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and if the weather isn't cooperating, the indoor dining space is equally inviting. A special thank you to Sarah, whose service was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a peaceful and unhurried dining experience. For drinks, I ordered the Ghost Town, while my wife enjoyed the Venus Flytrap. Both were beautifully prepared and easy to see why they're among the restaurant's popular cocktails. The food was equally impressive. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was exceptional. The kitchen even accommodated my request for extra freshly cracked black pepper, which took an already excellent dish to another level. My wife ordered the Little Gem Salad with shrimp, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also shared the Tuna Tartare Tostada, which was outstanding--beautiful presentation, fresh tuna, and a great balance of textures and flavors. Adding to the experience was a bottle of Albariño that paired wonderfully with the meal. What stands out most about Dram Yard is its atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, and forget about the stresses of the day. Whether you're looking for a date night, an evening with friends, or simply a quiet place to relax, Dram Yard delivers. Excellent service, creative cocktails, outstanding food, and one of the most relaxing outdoor dining spaces in Wilmington. We'll definitely be back.

This was the 3rd time we've been here. The first two times we did not make it to the table because…read moreof the service. They generally do not care about the customer at all. The star of the show is definitely the food. The chef is super proud of his food, and he should be. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 on food instead of a 5 is because there was no iced tea (in the summer in the carolinas - not really forgivable) the water was nasty and the biscuits on my Benedict were towards the burnt side on the bottom. Honestly, everything otherwise was amazing. What was really great: The restaurant itself is AMAZING! It's like being transported to a Parisian cafe. I love that when you walk in, you immediately see the fully in view kitchen. I'm assuming a chef owns the restaurant and designed the layout. The patio is quaint and delightful and surprisingly private for a downtown sidewalk restaurant. The eggs on my Eggs Benedict could not have been more perfect. I'm not a fried potato person; however, the pan fried potatoes here are mostly whole and they are out of this world. They were exceedingly crispy on the outside and completely soft on the inside. My son ordered the dutch baby. It was delicious. The accompanied fruit was perfect and truly ripe. I feel like they would have to toss a lot of fruit to get the ones that were truly that perfect. What did not work: The water - it was about 85 degrees out and humid. There is nothing here refreshing. Water is served European style meaning no ice and out of the tap. Warm tap water on a hot day in South Carolina is just nasty. It's ironic that while Europeans visiting the US for the World Cup are posting social media reels raving about ice in drinks in the United States, meanwhile The Dram Yard is insisting on pulling all of the worst parts of eating out in Europe into their restaurant. I truly dislike restaurants that serve canned and bottled beverages. It screams, "nickel and dime". If you bought your cans of soda at Costco and charged $4.00 for a can, I'd have to drink 9 cans before you're losing money. There is literally no reason to limit beverages other than driving higher profits. I hate price gouging. At the very least get a fountain and serve iced tea. SERVICE - the service staff simply makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by being open. Don't expect anything after that. When we arrived, the restaurant was at about 25% capacity with 2 food servers, who also double as the hostess. After waiting 10 minutes to be seated (yes...even at 25% capacity), service truly went downhill from there. It wasn't that the staff was rude. They were just not present and extremely slow. It honestly seemed like they were doing everything they could to not be seen. We needed salt, a refill of the water carafe and our check. That was it. The staff would come to our part of the dining room but then not even glance around or come by to see if we needed anything. I'm giving them a 2 because they were exceedingly slow and not present. When we did chase them down, I felt rude asking for help. The chef delivered our food. He was very proud and should be. However, here's the rub. The chef needs to learn that being in the restaurant business is not only about creating great food. It also requires front of house service and an overall dining experience that people are happy with. Right now, I'm walking away feeling: 1. great food and great atmosphere 2. terrible service 3. nickle and dimed me on drinks 4. doesn't have the sense to serve iced tea in the Caronlinas So - as much as I loved the food - there are too many restaurants in Wilmington that are good enough to overcome 2, 3 and 4 above. The Dram could be fixed so easily: 1. hire servers who want to be there and smile a little 2. put ice in your water 3. serve iced tea - at least in the summer months 4. get a soda fountain - it's 2026 Unfortunately, we won't be back because there are simply other options that, at the very least, hit 1, 2 and 3 with good food.
