Excellent service!!! I called late yesterday afternoon and they were here the next day. Anthony our service tech was amazing. Extremely professional and knew that he was doing. Quickly diagnosed the issue and provided us some solutions. I would highly recommend Pinpoint and ask for Anthony. read more

As a landscape contractor, we've relied on Pinpoint Leak Detection for years whenever we run into a water leak that's beyond the scope of normal troubleshooting. We've also referred countless homeowners to them for both water and gas leak detection inside their homes, and they have always taken great care of our clients. Their team is knowledgeable, easy to work with, and responds quickly. Just as importantly, they provide thorough reports with photos and videos emailed directly to the customer, making it easy to understand exactly where the problem is and what needs to be repaired. If you unfortunately find yourself dealing with a leak, whether it's inside your home or somewhere outside on your property, Pinpoint Leak Detection is the company to call. They consistently deliver professional service, accurate results, and peace of mind. We highly recommend them and will continue referring them to our own customers. read more

I'm very disappointed with Pinpoint. After paying $395 for them to do an estimate to pinpoint my leak, the technician stated that the chalk marks he had placed on the driveway were no guarantee that the leak would be located in that location. He also informed me that Pinpoint does not do any repairs, so I needed to find my own plumber. A day or two later I noticed my retractable hose was broken, so I called the office. I was told that yes, the technician had unscrewed the hose to wash his hands. The hose was broken exactly at the point where it unscrews from the faucet. Obviously, the technician broke my hose. But they refused to deal with the damages caused to my expensive 100-foot retractable hose. "We don't deal with damages. We never have, and we never will" were the words from their representative to me. This does not bode well with customer service. Pinpoint Leak Detection will not be getting my business, and I wholeheartedly cannot recommend them for yours. read more

The fact that I even have to select one star is ridiculous. My main hot water line went out and we called pinpoint out to locate the leaking pipe. I already knew where it was, but my landlord needed a report. During the inspection, the technician was running around like crazy. He ended up going up to my bathroom and turning the sinks on without letting me know, and without verifying that the sinks were draining properly. He turned the water on and left it running for about 20 minutes. I was downstairs in the kitchen with him when my chandelier became a waterfall. His response, "I've never seen anything like that before. That's weird". Ironically enough he had already been upstairs and seen what the issue was, but didn't bother to tell me. 20 minutes of water pouring onto my carpet in my master bedroom, destroying everything under my cabinet and soaking my bedroom. He even had the audacity to use my bathroom and didn't even bother to flush. When I went upstairs to inspect, I saw what had happened and asked why he didn't bother telling me to which I got no response. Them coming out was a complete waste of time and created more damage. When my landlord called to talk to them and explain the situation, he spoke with a true Karen who was nasty and rude to him and offered no resolution and still wanted the $400. Unbelievable! I'm happy to share the video of your technician running around saying oh "F" and running around like a chicken, grabbing my rug and hand towel trying to clean up his mess. I would never use this company again and I am completely appalled at the unprofessionalism of their office when we tried to explain what happened. At this point, I'm looking for legal advice to see what kind of recourse we have. read more

These folks are amazing. I had noticed a water leak and called them at the suggestion of my plumber to identify where the leak was. They sent Shawn and Greg over the same day, identified my problems, answered my questions, and explained to me everything I needed to know and consider. beyond getting the job done, they are just good-natured people and was understanding of my concerns and took it into consideration. I will definitely refer to them for my future needs and recommend them to families and friends in the future. read more

I have used Pinpoint twice in the last year. We had problems with sewer smells and not knowing where it was coming from. Shawn came out this last time and was absolutely great. He did a smoke test in our entire drain system. They checked inside the house, the attic, and the crawlspace. A few spots were found with smoke coming out in the crawlspace and another had smoke coming into the kitchen. For the kitchen, they opened up some stucco on the outside wall to find a vent pipe that was completely snapped! They clearly marked everything that needs fixing so our plumber can easily locate the problems that they found. Shawn was very thorough and I would absolutely recommend them to help find any sort of leak that you might have! read more

Catrina was so kind & sent Anthony & Greg the very next morning to find the leak in my slab in the hall bathroom. They were so professional. Put drop cloths on my wood floor & even used duct tape to close up the dry wall. All three were awesome. Thank you Pinpoint for finding the leak. read more

Shawn was our tech from Pinpoint. He arrived promptly at the beginning of the time window provided, after calling ahead with arrival time. Shawn was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He finished well within Pinpoint's time estimate. Shawn answered our questions and advised us on appropriate next steps. His report/invoice was emailed to me before he left our home. I hope I never have to, but I would definitely call Pinpoint again. I strongly recommend them. read more

I strongly advise avoiding this company, as my experience matches many of the other negative reviews here. They are unprofessional and do not stand behind their work. Before contacting them, I read some concerning reviews but assumed those might have been isolated incidents or misunderstandings. Unfortunately, I experienced similar issues myself. I was advised by my pool technician that I might have a small leak and should hire a leak detection company. This company quoted me $425 just to send someone out, which seemed steep, but I went ahead. When the technician Mike arrived, he was here for about 30 minutes, & he provided a vague one line description to the company of where the leak was supposedly located, and took a single photo of some damp dirt above the pool area where they used pressurized nitrogen to detect a leak. That was it. Afterwards, I repeatedly followed up for more information but could not get any clear answers. I kept having to deal with their office manager Katrina who was consistently rude and dismissive. She constantly interrupted me, refused to listen to my concerns, and kept insisting their vague report was sufficient. To make matters worse, Katrina lied to one of their technicians and told him that I was disrespectful to her and used foul language when that never happened at all. I was simply trying to explain my frustration as a paying customer but she twisted my words instead of addressing the actual issue. I tried explaining that I had every right to express my frustration about the poor service I received but she had no interest in resolving the situation and repeatedly talked over me. When I told her that if the company continued to ignore my concerns I would be leaving honest feedback online, she did not care at all and just kept trying to end the call. In short, this company charged an excessive amount for minimal work, provided almost no usable information, and was disrespectful and dishonest when I asked for clarification. They were completely unprofessional throughout the entire process. I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone else. Save yourself the stress. read more

Referred by my plumber - Gallegos - These fine folks were so very helpful, professional, etc. I called them at about 9 this morning, and Katrina promised a tech same day at 2 - 4 PM. My phone rang at 1:54 letting me know the tech was on his way, and was nearby. Hugo drove up at about 2:02. We only needed a sewer line and a water line (copper) located and flagged, it was done very quickly, I felt the price they guestimated over the phone was fair, however once the job was actually completed, a price break was given (we had about half of it already trenched). They offered, and I was quite happy to take the discount! Who wouldn't? I would absolutely call them again!! read more

claim to have found leak, didn't. My plumber found leak. Nowhere close to where Pinpoint claimed. Won't come back out unless I fully pay again. Waste of my time and money. Scam. Not Trustworthy of an important job for your home. Told plumber to get a thermal camera. Was a my house for 30 minutes and didn't use all of their equipment to "pinpoint" the leaks. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! read more

John came out very promptly, found the problem and described it in detail to our plumber. These people are just great.

Today we had Pinpoint come out to find a leak in our home. Not only were they efficient, responsive in getting a quick date, they were able to detect where leak was coming from as that is what they do! It's a family owned business so I am happy to support. The charge was $395 flat rate but be careful and ask questions as our home is a one story home and they might have to charge more for 2 stories depending on where the pipes lead. So just ask questions and no question is a stupid question. The detection was simple with their tools, blue tape markings as to how the water flows and locating manifolds. But overall it was professional, organized, clean and would hire them again for any detection leaks! read more

What an amazing experience. Pinpoint Leak Detection was recommended by my plumber. Needed to track down a leak. Called them and set up an appointment. Boy am I glad I did. Shawn and Angel showed up on time as scheduled. Walked me through everything they were going to do. Did a very detailed inspection. Found the source of the leak and came up with a detailed plan of action for my plumber to follow to fix the problem. Cleaned up everything when they were finished. They saved me a lot of time and money. Well worth the price to get this done. Highly recommend this company. read more

I knew I had a main leak between the city owned meter located at the street and our home water regulator, but needed both confirmation AND leak location. Jordan arrived just before the scheduled time, after sending a text notification he was on his way. Within 20 minutes he found the leak and marked the location with flags. Jordan was totally professional and curious. I then started the digging and much sweat and over 2 feet deep later, visually found the PVC pipe and the leak, centered in the spot that was flagged. I recommend Pinpoint Leak Detection to others with similar leak issues. read more

Christian was very thorough. He spent an hour locating the supply lines and then taping off where he said the water leak was located. Unfortunately he said it was beneath a custom built kitchen cabinet with a granite countertop. That meant either removing the huge cabinet or going in and cutting down and through the interior cabinetry. Luckily I got a second opinion from Sherlock Leak Detectives. I removed all the tape that Christian had put down so Ron at Sherlock had no clue where the leak was. Within 30 minutes Ron found the supply lines then located within 4 inches of where the leak was which thank God was not under my kitchen cabinet. $350 wasted using AAA Pinpoint Leak Detection which could of cost me thousands in flooring and kitchen cabinetry as well as days of inconvenience for construction. read more

These guys are crooks! Try to avoid if possible. They charged me $500 for a simple smoke test that showed I had to seal around the base of my toilet better. That's their minimum for up to 1.5 hours. Took them waaay less than an hour. Their invoice also said they charge $295/hr for anything past the initial 1.5 hours. These labor charges are ridiculous for the type of service they provide. My experience with PinPoint leak detection was really terrible. They do not care about their customers. All they care about is how they can squeeze more dollars out of people. I highly highly recommend you to stay away from them. I worked with jordon at their company. He was very rude and unprofessional. They charged me $3200 to find a leak and fix a problem, but the problem was never resolved. They made a few trips to my house to detect a leak and even fixed or perhaps pretended to fix one of the pipes, but the problem was still there. I ended up working with someone else. I had never been robbed like this before. Please be careful from this company. read more

If you think you have a pool leak, don't bother with this company. They only do half an inspection. I hired them to do an inspection right before covid hit. I was surprised that the inspection was so quick; it only took about an hour, maybe less. The tech assured me my pool was fine and wasn't leaking. While I was pleased to hear that, I was still baffled by how much water I was having to feed the pool to keep it even close to full. Throughout the covid quarantine time, my pool continued to be thirsty. I was putting 20+ min of water in daily, and still struggling to keep it filled. My pool guy and my contractor both insisted that there was something wrong and that I should contact the inspector who had told me it was fine. I followed up with Pinpoint but nobody wanted to be bothered with my call, telling me that their inspection results were only valid a short period post-inspection. So I hired Red Rhino to perform a new inspection. I was surprised when the guy said the inspection would take 3-4 hours. I was even more surprised when he suited up and got into the pool, something the tech from Pinpoint definitely did not do. Sure enough, they discovered a leak around the seal of my jacuzzi light. The tech installed a temporary putty (a real fix is needed long term) and my pool immediately stopped bleeding water. What's the point of doing 50% of a pool inspection? My leak never would have been discovered by Pinpoint, but they were more than happy to take my money. I highly recommend seeking out other companies that will do a complete job and stand by their work. read more

This company CHEATED ME! My water bill had been inordinately high for a couple of months and I was concerned I had a leak so I called a plumber my friend recommended. The plumber told me to contact Pinpoint Leak Detection if I thought I had a leak. I scheduled an appointment for them to come out. The individual showed up on time. I told him about the high water bill and that I had no idea what the source could be, can he check all possibilities for me? He was busy for under 30 minutes inside and outside the house. At the end of this time he announced he hadn't found any issues. I questioned him if he had checked both bathrooms, the laundry room, etc. He assured me there was no leak to be found. I wrote him a check for $350 bucks and sent him on his way. Three weeks later I moved out of this home and lo and behold, when the washing machine was pulled out of the laundry room, guess what was a found? A LEAK! And not a recent one... the plumber was called and fixed the leak. I believe I paid him almost $200. I got to thinking, hey wait a minute-the leak detection company didn't find this leak.... that's weird. So I called and spoke with the owner. After reviewing the info on the service call he told me SORRY! I was CHEATED. Do not use this company! read more

We've noticed unexplained increases in our water bill and also occasional backups in our kitchen sinks and bathtubs. A neighbor just had their main water line re-routed (something we've been considering) and highly recommended Pinpoint to us. Our technician JASON was timely, polite, and knowledgeable. He called 20 minutes before our appointment to let us know he was on the way. Upon arrival, he used a fancy beeping contraption called a locator to detect where the pipes ran throughout the house. He then marked in blue tape where notable points and blockages were beneath our tile and wood floors. His laptop also showed us the camera's view as it snaked through the drain until it hit an obstruction. We had initially signed up for both a leak detection and sewer drain inspection. After a thorough review, Jason advised that we did not need leak detection service. With just the sewer inspection, our final fee was almost half of the initial quote. Our ultimate issues were major grease buildup in the kitchen and then extreme rusting in the vents. Note that this company does not do repairs. They specialize in finding the issues so that a licensed plumber can then do the fix. Our fee was $250. Potential follow-up visit will be $150 after a plumber fixes the issues that Pinpoint found. I found this company to be honest, reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. read more

If you need leak detection whether its in your walls, under your foundation, or anywhere, stop looking at other companies and call Pinpoint. Joseph was awesome. We had a hot water line leaking pretty badly under our foundation slab and it was pretty stressful at first. We were recommended Pinpoint as a leak detection company and we're glad we followed that recommendation. We called late at night and they called us back first thing in the morning. They gave us a small two hour window (better than those 10am-4pm windows) and Joseph was even early. He even called ahead of time to let us know he was on his way. He was super friendly, knew exactly what he was looking for, and was very reassuring when he helped figure out that it wasn't as bad as we thought. Do yourself a favor and call Pinpoint. read more

Pinpoint came out on time( that's why they get one star ), but they did not find all the leaks. The second leak was about 7 feet away, and when I asked him about this, they said that oh they cannot find all of the leaks at one time. For $550 they darn well should find all the leaks and it cost me an extra $400 with a plumber! I would never recommend these people to do the service that they provide. I would recommend Gallegos plumbing, they're efficient they come out on time and they don't leave until the work is finished. read more

So the the floor in the casa started heating up in one area. So I'm thinking either there's a leak in the slab or doorway to hell in my kitchen (I have to stop watching so much Netflix). Upon further inspection and googling I realized I had a leak in the slab - praise G-d. First thought was may as well re pipe but hey that's a grip of money I didn't want to let go of. So my other option was to bypass the leak. Problem is there are three lines coming from the water heater. How to know which one to bypass? This is where my local plumber calls Pinpoint Leak detection. Pinpoint was able to schedule me in within a couple hours (#1 cool). sent over their new recruit Jordan (#2 cool). Jordan is very nice young man and took good care of me. He had all his gauges out and his hearing devices and what looked like a metal detector thing listening in the floor within minutes. Jordan said it was this one so in the middle so the cutting and bypassing began. Now I can't tell you exactly how much this process saved me but I started with quotes in the 6 grand range for a re pipe. So I listened to my plumber and did what the professionals do. Get the information you need then make informed decision. All totaled saved about 4500-5000 over the re pipe and that's with paying for the labor for my plumber and parts. So all in all it was a good decision to use precision! read more
