My wife and I and two friends chartered a boat through this organization. Since we did not know…read morethe water, we also opted for a skipper. The wind did not cooperate often and we did a lot of motoring, but the week we spend island hopping in the Cyclades was unforgettable. Yorgos, our excellent skipper knew all the ports, restaurants, sights and points of interest along the way. We did as much of the sailing (or as little) as we wanted and rather than sticking to a preplanned agenda we picked the islands we wanted to visit and took as much time as we wanted on each of the island we visited. Our 42' yacht was spacious, clean and beautiful. After the trip we rented a car and took off in mainland Greece with Yorgo's help and at the end of the trip when we got lost in Athens on our way to turn in the rental car, he again came to our rescue. This was truly the trip of a lifetime, but we hope to repeat at some point. High marks!

I was given their number by a close friend who has booked many vacations through them. Last year I decided to send them and email and I received one back from Mary who would be our travel agent. There is not enough room on this page to describe how lovely, professional, and efficient that Mary is. She took all my worries and concerns away when it came to traveling. Last August my husband and I booked our wedding/honeymoon through her and every single step of the way Mary was there with the answers and the solutions. I can honest say that all I had to do was describe the type of vacation we wanted and price range and Mary did all the leg work. We barely had to lift a finger and we received the most spectacular vacation. I had quite the list of things I wanted out of my vacation and Mary made sure we got every single one. I never had to wait days or even hours for her to get back to me. Mary made sure that she communicated all the details of the trip verbally and always sent a follow up email so we could reference back to them. This was extremely helpful considering my husband is away often and I'm usually running around like crazy trying to get everything planned and together. Mary made everything so easy. We had an incredible wedding and honeymoon filled with so many memories. It was such a success that we just booked again with her to go away for our anniversary! I can not wait and once again Mary made it a pain free process. I don't know how she does it!! If you want someone who cares about your vacation , will get you the best pricing possible and is stellar at their job....you NEED to call Mt Carmel Travel and book with Mary. Thank you for all the hard work and all the fantastic memories we will get to have through these vacations, we are forever grateful.

Luckily, John made everything beyond easy! We went in for a meeting with a few key ideas: all inclusive, on the beach, adults only. After a few more questions John quickly came up with several options. He made the process even easier by reserving everything for us, and telling us what to expect at each step of our travels. We had the BEST TIME in Mexico at El Dorado Maroma! Completely stress free vacation, exactly like we wanted :) We can not wait to go back and plan our next vacation through Adler Travel!

I asked one of the agents at Adler Travel to help me book a trip to Madrid and Paris so that my…read moredaughter, an art student, could see the great museums. The agent did competently book flights and hotels, and I'm choosing to see that as a "glass half-full". But she needed a couple of reminders and she took a couple weeks longer than she said she would. And really, in a world where we all have TripAdvisor, I'm not sure that saved me more than 4 or 5 hours versus doing it on my own. Where I really could have used help, there was none. I was very clear about the purpose of the trip and the museums we intended to visit. Those museums are currently deluged with tourists and all now require booking time slots weeks in advance. If we had shown up without pre-booked tickets, we would have been turned away, negating the entire purpose of the trip and wasting thousands of dollars. This kind of information - learned from personal trips to the destination or previous bookings - is the real added value a travel agent should provide. Our agent provided none. Luckily for us, I learned about the need for pre-booking from Rick Steves' books before it was too late to get in. It was too late to get the time-slots we wanted, however. Some of the slots were decidedly inconvenient. A few weeks' earlier start would have been extremely helpful - a heads-up from the agent would have made a huge difference. Our agent was simply MIA after the initial bookings. She did finally respond to an email requesting help booking flights from Madrid to Paris - after I'd already booked them myself - with apologies about missing my email in her very full inbox. I had to do all of the research and booking for the museums myself, something that took many hours. Every agency has multiple agents with different levels of experience and enthusiasm for the job. Adler has a good enough local reputation that I'm sure some of the other agents are more helpful. But my experience with my agent was not great. I credit Rick Steves for a successful trip, not my agent. If I hadn't checked those books, it would have been a complete fiasco.

When we finally decided we wanted to book our dream trip, I researched for MONTHS. Ultimately, we decided we were going to need a custom trip to make our dream trip to life. My parents travelled with a large group of family friends to Southern Africa about 12 years ago to celebrate my mom's friend's 50th birthday. She is from South Africa and insisted they all book through Classic Africa. My parents have talked about the trip for years, so, after months of searching online and talking to travel agents I decided it was time to call the folks at Classic Africa. From our first conversation, I knew Classic Africa was right for us. I never felt like they were trying to sell us anything. They were honest about what we should do/where we should stay based on many years in the business. I liked that they are straight shooters--I don't like bad surprises, especially on vacation. In mid-2019, we put down our deposit on our dream trip to Southern Africa, which included stops in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Fugitive's Drift, Sabi Sands, and Victoria Falls. Then...the pandemic hit and the trip was put on hold. We re-booked for August-September 2021, but we're still unsure if we would be able to travel this year. After much thought, research, and several calls with the Classic Africa team, we decided it was our time. I have to say, the team really outdid themselves with this one. Everything was better than we could have ever imagined. They booked everything for us--hotels, tours, private charter flights, transfers and more. One if the things I was most concerned about with this trip was transportation and safety. The Classic Africa team has been in the business for many years and every last detail went off without a hitch. I could never have planned this trip to the level that they did. If you are thinking about taking a trip to Africa, please give them a call. You won't regret it! I am sure we will go back to Africa at some point and when we do it will definitely be with the help of Classic Africa!

This year we picked a hotel and flight package for Playa del Carmen, Mexico and thought we had a great price, then I called Rudy's Travel and talked to Cherilyn. I didn't think she would be able to compete with the price, but gave her the challenge. She called us back a couple of hours later and had a price that was $600.00 dollars cheaper. My questions were do we still have the non-stop flight both ways- do we still have the ocean front room and do we still have Club access at this hotel? WOW! The answers were all yes the exact flight and room at the same hotel. We went 2/5/22 thru 2/12/22 and everything that Cherilyn touched was perfect and with the money we saved we bought trip insurance and still saved money. Next year when we go for our annual trip you can be sure that we will be giving Cherilyn a call Would highly recommend, J and L Brown
