If you want the most comprehensively curated travel experience, I highly recommend contacting Lena…read moreBrown of Largay Travel. In my thirty plus years of traveling, both for domestic corporate travel and international personal travel, I have never worked with a more qualified travel expert than Lena Brown. She is phenomenal! Lena is extremely collaborative, responsive and informative throughout the whole process of travel planning which began a year before the actual two-week trip to Portugal. She created an itinerary where every single detail was covered. From the airport pickups & car service, train rides and short flights to personal guides for castle tours, unique winery tours, and even a memorable hike to the scenic south of Portugal in the Algarve region, Lena did it all. We traveled throughout Lisbon, Porto, Lagos and everywhere in between on trains, planes, Sprinter Vans and town cars. We saw cliffs, caves (both in mountains and in wineries), Fado singers, castles and vineyards. She planned restaurant reservations at some of the best restaurants in all of Portugal and housed us in the best hotels in the country all in the heart of the cities and villages. Our group consisted of three couples with distinct preferences and opinions. She is highly collaborative and able to meet the needs of our group and provide insights and recommendations beyond what we dreamed of ourselves. Lena kept us informed throughout the whole planning process. Despite being in a different time zone, Lena was available at a moment's notice and never wavered in her dedication and commitment to our group of six being happy and informed. Lena didn't let a Florida hurricane stop her. The Sarasota airport was closed due roof damage post hurricane and our United flight was canceled. Lena waived her "magic wand" and got the final flight home changed to the nearby airport of Tampa with grace and elegance throughout a most difficult challenge of last minute change. She accomplished this without hesitation and went to work immediately ensuring our success in obtaining seats for all six in their respective class designation. I trusted her judgement and execution throughout the whole process and I'm deeply grateful for her winning attitude and ability to work under pressure. I plan to use Lena Brown for my future travel planning and through her partnerships and affiliations with other travel organizations and groups I feel we received the best experience possible and the use of the "Axus Travel App" on our phones kept informed of every detail, document, time of arrival, helpful hints and everything in between our travel was a smashing success and I can't thank her enough. Thank you, Lena and Largay Travel.

Our group made our own airline and hotel arrangements for our arrival and departure. This trip has been planned for over a year with minimal help from Ken. A few days ago, we all received travel packets via FedEx. Unfortunately for me, my packet was sent to my Winter address and is still sitting at that front door. When I heard from another member of our group that they received a fedex, I contacted Largay. What do you know...Ken is traveling and won't be available for another week. The good ol' Bump and Run of sending something unexpected and not being available to follow up afterward. Marcy, a Client Relations Specialist in a remote office helped me get a cruise itinerary and luggage tag. I'll read the rest when I see what was sent to my travel companions. Thanks Marcy!

I asked one of the agents at Adler Travel to help me book a trip to Madrid and Paris so that my…read moredaughter, an art student, could see the great museums. The agent did competently book flights and hotels, and I'm choosing to see that as a "glass half-full". But she needed a couple of reminders and she took a couple weeks longer than she said she would. And really, in a world where we all have TripAdvisor, I'm not sure that saved me more than 4 or 5 hours versus doing it on my own. Where I really could have used help, there was none. I was very clear about the purpose of the trip and the museums we intended to visit. Those museums are currently deluged with tourists and all now require booking time slots weeks in advance. If we had shown up without pre-booked tickets, we would have been turned away, negating the entire purpose of the trip and wasting thousands of dollars. This kind of information - learned from personal trips to the destination or previous bookings - is the real added value a travel agent should provide. Our agent provided none. Luckily for us, I learned about the need for pre-booking from Rick Steves' books before it was too late to get in. It was too late to get the time-slots we wanted, however. Some of the slots were decidedly inconvenient. A few weeks' earlier start would have been extremely helpful - a heads-up from the agent would have made a huge difference. Our agent was simply MIA after the initial bookings. She did finally respond to an email requesting help booking flights from Madrid to Paris - after I'd already booked them myself - with apologies about missing my email in her very full inbox. I had to do all of the research and booking for the museums myself, something that took many hours. Every agency has multiple agents with different levels of experience and enthusiasm for the job. Adler has a good enough local reputation that I'm sure some of the other agents are more helpful. But my experience with my agent was not great. I credit Rick Steves for a successful trip, not my agent. If I hadn't checked those books, it would have been a complete fiasco.

My husband and I were referred to John at Adler Travel by a friend when planning our honeymoon…read more Neither of us have traveled very much, and honestly the thought of sorting through thousands of different options, and then planning flights in the midst of wedding planning did not seem apealing. Luckily, John made everything beyond easy! We went in for a meeting with a few key ideas: all inclusive, on the beach, adults only. After a few more questions John quickly came up with several options. He made the process even easier by reserving everything for us, and telling us what to expect at each step of our travels. We had the BEST TIME in Mexico at El Dorado Maroma! Completely stress free vacation, exactly like we wanted :) We can not wait to go back and plan our next vacation through Adler Travel!
