I was given their number by a close friend who has booked many vacations through them. Last year I decided to send them and email and I received one back from Mary who would be our travel agent. There is not enough room on this page to describe how lovely, professional, and efficient that Mary is. She took all my worries and concerns away when it came to traveling. Last August my husband and I booked our wedding/honeymoon through her and every single step of the way Mary was there with the answers and the solutions. I can honest say that all I had to do was describe the type of vacation we wanted and price range and Mary did all the leg work. We barely had to lift a finger and we received the most spectacular vacation. I had quite the list of things I wanted out of my vacation and Mary made sure we got every single one. I never had to wait days or even hours for her to get back to me. Mary made sure that she communicated all the details of the trip verbally and always sent a follow up email so we could reference back to them. This was extremely helpful considering my husband is away often and I'm usually running around like crazy trying to get everything planned and together. Mary made everything so easy. We had an incredible wedding and honeymoon filled with so many memories. It was such a success that we just booked again with her to go away for our anniversary! I can not wait and once again Mary made it a pain free process. I don't know how she does it!! If you want someone who cares about your vacation , will get you the best pricing possible and is stellar at their job....you NEED to call Mt Carmel Travel and book with Mary. Thank you for all the hard work and all the fantastic memories we will get to have through these vacations, we are forever grateful.

Judy Gallagher was just the expert we needed! Judy was able to give us recommendations based on the type of vacation we were looking for and also stay within our budget. She took care of EVERYTHING, and even added her own suggestions to make our trip extra special. As it turns out, our Punta Cana resort had not disclosed when booking the trip that there was construction happening outside of our room. I had requested a room change from our hotel concierge, but was told that no other rooms were available. The next morning I called Judy and explained the situation. She answered the phone immediately and by that same afternoon we had our upgraded room -- one of the best in the resort! This was EXACTLY why we trusted our special trip to Gallagher Travel Shoppe and I am happy to give Gallagher a very strong recommendation!! Thank you Judy!

I have usually gone to Alex close to the time we desired to leave for vacation. In all these cases -- despite the late timing -- Alex has done an amazing job of quickly pulling together thoroughly enjoyable vacations.  Almost immediately, Alex assembles a set of hotel choices and a schedule to take us to the places we want to visit - helping us make educated choices as to where we want to go. Once the schedule is in place, he worked closely with us to point out and then help book the best ways to get the most out of our schedule. It also leaves a bad impression on our guests, they came for a great time and left feeling sick. I hope they will take some time and fix their issues so no other group has this issue in the future.

When we finally decided we wanted to book our dream trip, I researched for MONTHS. Ultimately, we decided we were going to need a custom trip to make our dream trip to life. My parents travelled with a large group of family friends to Southern Africa about 12 years ago to celebrate my mom's friend's 50th birthday. She is from South Africa and insisted they all book through Classic Africa. My parents have talked about the trip for years, so, after months of searching online and talking to travel agents I decided it was time to call the folks at Classic Africa. From our first conversation, I knew Classic Africa was right for us. I never felt like they were trying to sell us anything. They were honest about what we should do/where we should stay based on many years in the business. I liked that they are straight shooters--I don't like bad surprises, especially on vacation. In mid-2019, we put down our deposit on our dream trip to Southern Africa, which included stops in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Fugitive's Drift, Sabi Sands, and Victoria Falls. Then...the pandemic hit and the trip was put on hold. We re-booked for August-September 2021, but we're still unsure if we would be able to travel this year. After much thought, research, and several calls with the Classic Africa team, we decided it was our time. I have to say, the team really outdid themselves with this one. Everything was better than we could have ever imagined. They booked everything for us--hotels, tours, private charter flights, transfers and more. One if the things I was most concerned about with this trip was transportation and safety. The Classic Africa team has been in the business for many years and every last detail went off without a hitch. I could never have planned this trip to the level that they did. If you are thinking about taking a trip to Africa, please give them a call. You won't regret it! I am sure we will go back to Africa at some point and when we do it will definitely be with the help of Classic Africa!
