This place has a super cool vibe - in truth it actually looks out of place in the soulless and corporate (read: ugly) Danks and Bourke complex. The copper walls and unusual light pendants make this little corner cafe warm and inviting, and the lovely guys behind the counter always have a smile and a laugh on offer.
I don't drink coffee personally (blasphemy) but all my coffee-loving friends who I have taken here (who are all coffee snobs...typical Sydney) assure me that the coffee is excellent, a-grade and very enjoyable. I just like sitting along the window with a cup of tea watching the passing parade on Bourke St.
PS - if you're wondering why some of the crew looks familiar, they are the same operators as The Astor Cafe at the Valhalla Building in Glebe. read more
