They blamed it on Delta, stating it was the pop-up drains, but refused to put it in writing. So, Delta honored the lifetime warranty & sent new pop-up drains immediately. They were supposed to come back to change the drains, but then never did & refused to warranty the toilet that they installed. The contractor, JD Taylor, blamed also Delta & Home Depot, where we purchased the faucets. Now we're stuck with $600 extra cost for another plumber to fix their mistake!

We had a visit from Top Quality in February to adjust our HVAC unit vent to control the airflow…read morebetween the two floors of our home and change the filter, and we talked about setting up a yearly plan to do this every spring and fall (this is routine maintenance we do every year). Everything was and had been working fine at that point. About a couple of months later, the unit stopped cooling, completely. We called them back out and all of a sudden the coolant was 100% empty. We were told that there were "king valves" broken and a leak somewhere, but their tech could not find it. We were given quotes for thousands, up to over $12,000.00, really pressing for a whole system replacement and zone addition. They did offer a repair but that was conditional upon "we might still find something else." No further attempt to try to find the leak they insisted we had, and they charged us $330.00 for nothing at best and sabotage at worst (details below). We decided to get some other opinions, who told us these same things...that there were a couple of the "king valves"/o-rings missing on the outdoor unit (I put king valves in quotes because they said they never hear anyone refer to them that way anymore and it's possibly to confuse clients if they go a-googling, and also that they can be bought by the dozens/hundreds for a few dollars). Additionally, they found all of the seals/gaskets on the outdoor unit were loose, and said that there was a large amount of debris on it that suggested a very large, very fast coolant spray/leak. One of them also said that Top Quality's guy did not even check the coil in the attic because some sort of original seal was still on the cover/door. They all claimed to have the newest, most expensive leak detectors and could not detect any leaks anywhere. They agreed (all of this independently of each other) that if there was a leak, it was so small as to be undetectable and not a problem. I did look back through my old records (I keep everything) and saw that we last had a coolant refill about 7 years ago, and the diagnosis was the same. A possible small leak but not a problem yet. One of the alternate opinion companies this time did a two day and overnight test where he put something in the unit to see if it would leak out. It held 100%. He filled the unit with coolant, fixed the valves and seals, and it has been working just fine again since at a TINY fraction of the cost Top Quality wanted. Now these are not my words but those of the other opinions. That the tech from Top Quality didn't know what he was doing, to run away as fast as possible, and that it even reminded them of situations they had heard of where techs had drained a system of its coolant to re-sell it. It does seem strange that a simple filter change and vent adjustment turned into an empty unit within a couple of months (or sooner, as we had not been using it much yet because it wasn't hot enough, so we wouldn't have known until later), with no leak able to be found by anyone, and a unit working just fine now for several months with just a coolant refill.

He explained that the hourly rate for two plumbers was $300. I felt blindsided by the cost and off put by how annoyed the plumber was with my cost inquiry. I would not use them again.

However, when that gas line was installed, the tubing that they cut was mangled, causing a leak when they put on the compression fitting. Since no one ever pressure tested the system, I have had a significant leak behind my range for 3 years. The only reason it was found was because Atmos had to come test when they replaced the service lines in our neighborhood. Not only could we not get them in a reasonable time (understandable), but there has been absolutely 0 accountability, and I have been getting transferred from person to person for 3 weeks. I spent over $1000 to fix their installation issue, and I can't even get the records from the original service. Absolutely terrible way to run a business. Jack, and the other folks that run the operation clearly take no responsibility for their poor service. I would rather hire anyone else but them. They do poor work (and know it), and then deflect any and all responsibility. Run far away.

But gradually, their service has deteriorated to terrible. Technician came out twice over the course of two weeks to fix problem. Each time he said it was something different and each time charged for the same problem. Which was never properly repaired. This same thing happened last year on a different unit and they made a small adjustment to the bill. This time, called twice to ask to speak to owner. Never received a call back. Found another company who came out the same day. Fixed the problem and charged a fraction of Grant's inflated invoice.

MAIL $100.00 CASH AND AN APOLOGY LETTER BY NOVEMBER 21, 2025. ** 'Bo', a service tech using a nickname, did all the work. He did his tests. He changed out my capacitor. He said that change failed. Bo then disconnected a yellow wire. Then, on touching a screwdriver somewhere in the unit, Bo caused a loud buzzing sound. Bo then said, 'this is bad'. Unknown at the time, he left the yellow wire disconnected which blew the fan motor, not the compressor. Bo did not advise me as such. This caused further problems that someone else had to resolve. Bo then gave an incorrect diagnosis for a new compressor for the outside unit. He then went into my attic for further details. He eventually stated that the entire system is old and bad and all needs to be renewed. On 05/12/2025, a quote followed in the mail for some $7000.00. On 05/30/2025, a bill with INV 43659050925 followed in the mail. A bill for '1 unit' was charging me for another $100. At that point it showed 1-30 days past due. The billing office went 'for the kill' trying to get another $100 out of me! A phone call to their office took a substantial amount of time to get reversed. Written confirmation of the reversal was requested but never received. On 06/04/2025, on a telephone conversation with Mr. Kinson, he initially seemed to listen to my concerns. Reviewed his second billing error for $100.00. Reviewed the tech errors. Mr. Kinson said he would call back after talking to his service man 'Bo' regarding service issues. No follow up call was received. On my follow up, Mr. Kinson repeatedly stated you have an old A/C system. It needs to go. Reviewed the 05/12/2025 quote for a new system $7000.00 or compressor fix for $3000.00. This confirms business profit is his priority. The 05/12 quote did not include the $550.00 Mr. Kinson had negatively predicted for his techs INTENTIONAL future failure of the attic stairs IF they were to break during the installation. Reviewed that the compressor was not the problem with the unit and another tech entity fixed the unit properly. This other entity had seen the yellow wire issue. Mr. Kinson demanded pictures/parts or whatever, to be sent to him OR at him showing up to my home. I clearly stated to him, NO TRESPASSING. He and his staff are NEVER allowed on the premises, whether I am the homeowner or not. Mr. Kinson was sarcastic with a smile through the calls. He was patient to stay on the phone until his defensiveness ended, thus he disconnected the calls. Mr. Kinson and his staff can not take ownership and when they find things difficult. They are allowed to disconnect/hang up on someone as well. NO MORE DEFENSIVE BEHAVIOR. MAIL $100.00 CASH AND AN APOLOGY LETTER BY NOVEMBER 21, 2025. This reimbursement should be much higher per the incorrect diagnosis error and resulting frustration level.

DO NOT USE ALPHA PLUMBING…read more Claiming to be a "certified master plumber," they later admitted to having little experience with grinder pump repair. First time out, spends 3 hrs getting pump pulled out and then determines its burned up.. sets up a temporary sump pump and they charge us 650 DOLLARS AN HOUR for 3 hrs of work. Mind you, we spent hours prepping it before their arrival to make things easier.. they even commented on how "nice" that was. Returns back 2 days later and installs new pump. Charges us $2,000.00 dollars for new pump that can be found for $1,000.00. 24 hrs later, the new pump burns up because they did not flush the house... Then tells us we were "lucky" that the new pump was under warranty. Replaces with another the next day and charges us an additional 1800 dollars.. During this time, hot water heater goes out but are able to replace with a new warranty water heater. Final bill $12,000.00.. to replace a warrantied water heater and shorted grinder pump, twice.. after they messed it up the second time. A bid was never given and we just assumed they were decent people and would charge a standard master plumbing hourly fee. Find another plumber, these guys will screw you.

He also changed my filter (which was filthy!) AND ordered me additional filters. All in all, Mike did an OUTSTANDING job.
