The teachers are amazing, friendly and are wonderful people who work very hard. You can see how much the kids love them! They deserve so much credit for what they do. My daughter graduated last year after 5 years at Harmony. She had been there since she was 12 weeks old and she misses her teachers so much!! She learned so much in her time at Harmony, so much in fact that she was more than prepared for Kindergarten. I also have a 15 month old who is now in the infant room for a second year as her birthday misses the cut off. She is so happy there and absolutely loves going to see her teachers every day. She already does sign language, which is impressive and continues to learn new skills every day. It's so nice to know she is being loved and cared for while I am at work. The curriculum at Harmony is amazing. It is highly focused on education which is evident when your kids come home with a new song every week, speaking Spanish, sign language, writing and math skills to name but a few. I know from friends who had to leave there due to relocation that they had difficult time finding somewhere that was even remotely similar. A lot of places just let kids play all day with no curriculum. The tuition is very competitive if not lower than a lot of places. They are also on top of things when it comes to government standards which is highly important. It's safety and cleanliness is above standards. Not everyone is going to like or agree with everything in all circumstances but at the end of the day the focus and concern at Harmony is for the kids, their safety and education. I couldn't recommend it highly enough and I am very thankful for all they do.

This school was truly exceptional for us. They are on top of everything and the environment was just perfect for my child. The facility, the teachers, the director, even the owner were really hands on and trust worthy. My son in the beginning cried so much (even threw up) since he was traumatized from other just as expensive and private school/montessori/academy. The director told me "give us a month and everything will change" It really did! my son just loves it there and he flourished dramatically within his first month. They care immensely for the children esp Corrie the director. She treats each and everyone of the kids there like family. My son's teachers Ms. Nicole, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Michelle were lovely professionals. From a boy who doesn't even want to get out of the car as soon as we park there to a happy toddler who wakes up excited to go to school rushes out of the car to run to his classroom it was just a miracle for us to see him grow this much. Thank you for everything.

I also loved how they have bilingual teaching opportunities. Kids absorb languages best when they're young and with a increasingly global society, it's great to offer kids that exposure. I also liked that it wasn't overly crowded. I actually drive to two schools for my kids so that my son is in an environment that's not packed with children during the pandemic. They also have an indoor play space and have some time where the younger toddlers and older toddlers do things together. I loved that philosophy from Acton Academy as I know my son loves modeling my older daughter. It's also fairly priced. Great place, especially for babies and younger kids. Plus- they helped potty train my son!! They aren't fancy and over the top - simply teach and treat my child like their own. I feel like my son is less materialistic than my daughter as a result.

This daycare center is the worst I've ever encountered in my 42 years as a mother of three. It's…read morecompletely unprofessional, lacking in quality and sympathy. If you have a child who doesn't move or speak, maybe this place is fine, but for my active son, paying over $1800 a month feels like throwing money away for a daycare that seems clueless about how to manage a child. After two consecutive days on 5/27--telling me I had half an hour to pick him up because he was climbing on furniture, which is typical kid behavior. I had to pull him out. My 18-month-old son faced discrimination from both the director and the regional director because of his special needs--he has a speech delay and is already receiving early intervention. When I took my first tour on 1/23, I explained all of my son's needs in great detail, and Victoria assured me that there would be no problem, that it was normal for his age. On the second tour on 3/11 with Rosie, I reiterated my son's needs, and once again, they said it was normal. Even uploaded and provided my son early intervention evaluation But when he started on 4/1, I received constant complaints. I was called on 4/3, 4/7, and 4/14 about minor incidents like biting another child, without anyone witnessing what actually happened. On 4/16, they reported he was running around and tried to bite a teacher's finger, and on 4/23, he hurt himself by slipping. Then on 5/5, he bit another child again without anyone clarifying the situation. That same day, they told me he put his hand in the toilet. This center has cornered me into providing documentation from doctors who have no clue what they're being asked for, since it's inappropriate for his age. They don't work with parents to help teach the kids; it's incredibly frustrating. Also when stuff happens to my son no report was given nor anyone knew what happened. Requested report from manager and still nothing.

Wow! I absolutely love working at TLE of North Haledon! Having over 15 years experience in the…read morechild care industry, I know just how crucial it is to have the right people in place to create a wonderful environment for children, their parents and staff. This particular location is independently owned and operated by Alicia Antoine who is extremely experienced, having run another TLE location for 8 years and being a mom of 3. She understands the needs of working parents since she is very involved and hands on herself, opening the center daily. She also used to be a teacher and is extremely supportive to her teaching team because she shares the same passion for providing quality care and education to children in the community. I truly couldn't have picked a better place to settle in my career. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful (you have to see it to believe it) and TLE's curriculum is hands down the most comprehensive educational program I've had the ability to work with. The curriculum and research development team ensures that each child is able to grow and develop independently while becoming caring members of society. It is because of this team that teachers are afforded the ability to focus their energy on being loving and nurturing caregivers while they execute the TLE curriculum created by corporate. At TLE of North Haledon, you honestly get the best of all worlds- a brand new school with beautiful amenities, an experienced and passionate owner, a comprehensive curriculum, and the most loving, nurturing staff. You'd be hard-pressed to find all of these unique qualities anywhere else, and I am grateful to be part of such an incredible school.

NYS lists them as "pending revocation" since December 2018. They are up for renewal in October 2019. I know from our own experience that it can be hard to find quality care, but please do your diligence before enrolling here or continuing to entrust this facility with the welfare of your children. Their compliance failures are overwhelming.

Parents be warned: do your homework on this facility's incident and violation history before…read moreconsidering enrolling your children here. My son was badly injured at this facility and they did not seek urgent medical care. We've taken our story to the press to make sure parents in the local community were made aware. A simple Google search of this facility will show you the full story, covered by WCBS, NY Post, USA Today, Journal News/LoHud, News12, HLN, and several more. My sons accident uncovered a sad reality - this facility had been operating all year with over 30 violations against it. We had no idea. I've since become very familiar with how to view daycare violations on OCFS.com. As of January 4th, 7th and 8th of 2019, the state of New York logged even more violations against TLE Dobbs Ferry. They now total to 83 violations. In my quest to find new daycare for my son, it appears most daycare centers in our area don't have more than 5 violations over the span of several years, some which have been in operation for 20+ years. Compare that to 83 violations at this facility from November 2017-January 2019. They should be ashamed of themselves. I wish we had known about these violations sooner. We would have removed my son from the program immediately. Since we've spoken to the press, at least a dozen parents and former staff members have contacted my husband and I directly about their own negative experiences at this facility, ranging from injuries to their children requiring stitches and leaving scars; to a 4 year old child being called an "idiot" to her face by one of the head teachers; to another teacher telling the pre-K class about her brother in jail on a daily basis; to teachers being encouraged by management to manipulate the children's daily performance sheets to make it appear they are learning skills at a faster rate than they truly are. Ask yourself, would you want you child being watched by this facility? If you look up the violation history of this center at OCFS.com, you'll see they even failed to perform background checks on a number of the staff. I won't besmirch everyone at TLE Dobbs Ferry. My son had a few really great teachers who cared for him dearly in the 12 months he attended this facility. Unfortunately for my son, none of them were present when he was injured. Had even one of them been, I'd like to think his injury would have been handled better. Many of these teachers have since left TLE and gone on to better facilities. I can't encourage parents enough to do their homework. Please use the resources available by the state of New York and look up the violation history of any daycare facility you are considering for your child. You can also contact the Westchester Childcare Council for assistance. They will even perform a daycare search for you based on where you live, and will give you all the information you need on individual facilities.
