Teachers here are very kind and supportive. My son enjoyed going here and was a fan of most of his teachers like Ms Su (His all time favorite) , Ms Nelly, Ms Alexa, Ms Arleny. This branch has their own kitchen, which was a plus for us. They have cameras which me and my wife would access through an app. This location is very close to the station for any parent to drop their kids while heading to work. Office staff tried their best to accommodate any of our request and were always helpful. I would definitely recommend this daycare. Thank you Kiddie Academy for everything you did to make sure my son was safe and happy.

Originally, our daughter was going to attend the Secaucus public school at the start of the year and it was still unclear if they were going to be remote, in person or hybrid due to the pandemic. Kiddie Academy offered a safe, structured, in person program with limited enrollment of 10 children. This worked best for what we were looking for during this difficult time for everyone and her development. The limited enrolment with a primary and a secondary teacher allowed for a lot of 1:1 time with the students. Our daughter was not a number of many but one of few and she thrived. The school, since it is private, was able to advance their curriculum when all of the students demonstrated an understanding of the subject matter. Due to their curriculum, teaching style and 1:1 time she is able to read independently, add, subtract, count by 1's, 2's and 5's, solve word problems etc. It is amazing how much our daughter has grown since September building upon what she learned in their Pre-K program. The experience we have had over the past 5+ years with the teachers and administration have been pleasant and I never doubted that our daughter was receiving anything but the best care and education. A special thank you to Ms. Patty, Ms. Diana, Ms. Liz and Ms. Melanie for their support and dedication.

I had to pull her out of the daycare because one day we picked her up and she was drooling excessively. She was complaining that she had eaten something spicy. When I called the daycare to inquire they said they tasted the food and that there was nothing spicy in it. About 30min while I was scheduling a doctor's appointment for her to see what was wrong, she ended up coughing up a 1 inch long chicken bone. Turns out that they serve the kids Chinese food from a local restaurant. I was appalled and unaware that several times a week my child was being fed takeout. Yes it's true- the caretakers there are very sweet and the daycare itself is very flexible with your schedule. The facility itself is dark, not a lot of natural light and small. I'm not a fan of the infant room because it's built more like a den. I was hesitant to enroll my infant there for that reason. The staff is great and friendly, but the fact that they're serving toddlers take out is completely unacceptable. I notified the city and the daycare refunded my deposit. They apologized for what happened and said they were going to discontinue ordering food from that restaurant.

From the first weeks, the teachers made a genuine effort to support his adjustment, keeping us , thoroughly informed and ensuring he felt secure and always included. That level of communication and Genuine care made a big difference for our family. Their classroom environment is very structured, organized, and welcoming. It is a setup, where the students, are not overly stimulated and they keep it simple, but, yet, very relaxed and productive! Smart Starts Academy has a curriculum , in which, encourages learning through, play while building important social and academic skills. Over time, we noticed improvements in his confidence, language skills, and enthusiasm for learning, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and Attentiveness to each student in their classroom! Emotions that each child may carry ,throughout their day, was Never ignored , but rather, very respected and handled with Extreme care and Genuine Understanding! The staff is beyond, professional, attentive, and Deeply committed to each child's development and learning journey! This preschool sets a HIGH standard for early education, and we would confidently recommend it to any family seeking a program that combines strong academics with Genuine care. Furthermore, the fact that, the students are to wear a uniform, distinctively separates, from other schools, especially because, the students are grasping the idea that, "we are going to school" and it clearly shows the difference between all other schools in the area. I absolutely RECOMMEND Smart Starts Academy and it will Not disappoint! The Smart Start Academy is a Great School for each child's first major steps in Learning and socially engaging in Healthy and Sustainable Growth and Development!

She associates her uniform with "going to school", which is a great visual prompt to get us ready & out the door each day. 2) The administration and staff are so helpful & have been extra accommodating to her special needs. There is a great curriculum including an introduction to Spanish language skills & preschool preparation (tracing letters, using glue sticks & scissors, etc) . It's truly like a school rather than just a daycare facility. She loves her teachers Mrs Ruth & Miss Justine :) 3) The tech used by the facility is great. The app lets us check her in & out for the day with ease. We get information and photo updates throughout the day. 3) Food is healthy and our picky eater never goes hungry.

They exceeded my expectations of a safe environment, loving teachers, and an impressive curriculum for nine years! My oldest is now 9 yrs old with my other son four years younger and both have been at TLE from their infant room with Miss Elizabeth to PreK 2 with the master teacher, Mrs. Adewale! In between, there are so many caring teachers and helper teachers who treated my boys like their own, including helping them make good choices with behavior, helping me teach them how to blow their nose, say please and thank you, potty training them, reminding them they love them, ...the list goes on and on and I really appreciate all the maternal help throughout the years. My youngest just graduated PreK2, but I saw first hand how my older son was reading and writing close to a 1st grade level by the time he was starting Kindergarten because of the challenging TLE curriculum that includes all subjects, even science experiments! (I'm a science teacher.) From the moment they started, I've been consistently impressed by the dedication, warmth, and professionalism of the entire staff. The clear day-to-day communication from the amazing business director, Bina Zalawadia and director, Coreen Ensmenger, makes me feel in-the-loop and comfortable. Thank you for providing such an exceptional foundation for their early learning. We are truly blessed to have found TLE of NB and can't recommend you highly enough to other families. *This was a rebuttal to the owner, who has since deleted her comment which was once again full of…read moreexcuses and fabrications.* It's sad - but not surprising - that the owner continues to lack accountability for this incident. As the owner of this facility, she never once called me to discuss what happened. She never apologized. She instead chose to hold 2 meetings on Jan 3 and 4 with all enrolled parents where she blatantly lied about myself and my two year old, and falsely said Scribbles was cleared of all allegations. Her only communication to me is via responses on review sites - one of which was a nasty comment that she then deleted. How grossly unprofessional. To clarify for parents - Scribbles was never cleared by the state. There was no "additional complaints." We gave all information during our initial call, and followed up with emails containing the video footage of her staff pushing and yanking my two year old. There was no a-ha moment where we supplied additional stories to the state. That's not how this works. Further, after the parents meeting, I confirmed with the Supervisors at the State Office of Licensing that the investigation was still open. They confirmed that Scribbles would not have been told by the investigator the outcome, as- at that time - it had not been finalized yet. As you can see from the attached report, the three investigation dates took place on or before the parents' meeting; there was no follow-up investigation after that date - Claudia's rationale makes no sense. Claudia and her team knew the details of this incident immediately, yet continued to minimize it - even though we have their video surveillance footage of this aggressive treatment. Furthermore, she threatened to sue me to keep me from sharing our truth, not knowing that I'm fully aware of what constitutes defamation (Claudia FYI I went to law school. What *you* did is indeed defame our family.) During the Jan 3 and 4 meetings, Claudia and her assistant director reassured parents that they could feel confident leaving their children in the hands of these two staffers - yet now, she has chosen to fire them? She watched the video of her staffers aggressively shove and yank a two year old, but it took 6-8 weeks for it to sink in that's not acceptable behavior? It's clear that the only reason this step was taken is that the State substantiated each and every allegation against them. If the owner truly cared about making this right, she would have 1) called me directly to apologize and 2) taken immediate disciplinary action against the staffers. Instead she and her assistant director downplayed what happened by saying "it looked worse on video," they mocked me and my husband for not letting this go silently, and they engaged in a blatant campaign to malign us. I will continue to refute every mistruth that is put out against our family. My 2 year old will not be the scapegoat or be further defamed. The silver lining in this is that we have pulled our child out and she is flourishing at her new Center. She has learned more in the past 8 weeks than she did in 7 months at Scribbles. The differences are stark. Interestingly, we have not received any negative reports on her behavior - which sadly is the justification they used to excuse their staff's behavior. This saga has weighed on us, and we are happy it's over.

I am very relieved that my daughter is no longer attending. The highlight of our experience was a few of the lead teachers and teacher assistants who genuinely cared about the children. I truly appreciate their dedication. I also want to recognize Sajida, who was always welcoming and kind. Unfortunately, that level of care did not feel consistent throughout the school. In my experience, the center director Ms Set was difficult to communicate with. There were times when I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, which left me feeling unheard. My daughter also shared that she sometimes felt certain staff members were overly harsh with her. I was also concerned by incidents involving children pushing or shoving one another, and I did not always feel those situations were addressed as thoroughly as I expected. The classrooms themselves were cared for by the teachers, who I often saw wiping tables and mopping floors. However, the overall building did not appear to be maintained to the same standard. During my visits, I noticed dust buildup around the air vents and felt the facility could benefit from more thorough routine cleaning and maintenance. Given how easily illnesses spread among young children, this was disappointing. Another concern was the frequent staff turnover. It seemed like there were constantly new faces, making it difficult to feel there was consistency in my child's care. At times, some classrooms also appeared to be led by very young staff members, which made me question the level of experience available. Finally, I attended the recent graduation ceremony and personally felt the Hollywood theme was NOT the best choice for an early childhood celebration. A bit inappropriate if you ask me. Overall, this center was not the right fit for our family. For the tuition being charged, I believe there are cleaner, more modern centers with stronger communication and greater consistency. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this daycare.
