It's a nice big fenced off area with two sections - one for small and one for large dogs. We appreciate this since our terrier mix pup is only 20lb and a bit weary of other dogs - especially big ones! We stopped by Saturday around noon and there were more dogs in the large section than small. As the time went on, more dogs came and everyone was friendly and playing. Although the grass is not luscious green, it was still a nice place to have your dog run around and play with other dogs. We will certainly be back! The reason for 4 and not 5 stars was the grass, and the fencing. A bit outdated and could use some TLC.

This is not the closest place for me to go but it's by far the best. 3 large fenced in dog park areas, many types of friendly and fun pooches will be there for your fur babies to play with. It's fun for me to see all the different types of breeds that come here. Most of the pups are well behaved. I've seen a couple times some negligent owners on their phones so spaced out, don't pick up their dogs poop or watch what their dogs are doing, but as far as dog parks go- it's the best for not having to stress that something negative will happen. I've been to other dog parks in the area that just had bad vibes. This one is nice and happy. It's as clean as a dog park can be, they do regular maintenance to the grounds, and there is a huge parking lot. It's also nice to walk the dogs in that area as well. My boys love it here and I'm happy to take them. Important to note- check the hours on certain days since they do the maintenance and close the parks. I've shown up a couple times forgetting about this and it was closed, so we just went for a nice walk instead.

It's a great mix of desert landscape and elevated viewpoints that never gets old. Over the years, you never know who you'll run into -- I even crossed paths with Ming Tsai on one of my hikes. There are restrooms at the base, free entry, and a parking lot that can fill up quickly, with many people parking along the road leading in. I really like that, unlike some dog parks, the dog owners pick up after their dogs and dispose of properly. His left leg had a bite mark on the outside and inside of his thigh. The owners just laughed that my dog was crying/yelping and it was a terrifying experience. They didn't take accountability for their dog bite so please make sure you understand that the dogs they bring are not friendly with other dogs like they are suppose to be at dog parks!

The park is surrounded by 200k plus homes, this drives down the squatter rate considerably. If you come by in the evening you might even get in on a neghiborhood basketball game!
