I like that they…read morehave three separate fenced-in areas and rotate them -- two are open at a time (one for small dogs, one for large dogs) while the third is being cleaned or maintained. It's nice they try to put in the effort to keep the park clean, which I appreciate. There are plenty of garbage cans for waste, which makes it easy to keep things tidy. Unfortunately some people don't pick up after their dogs. The park seems more dirty after the weekends, because more dogs are there Saturday and Sunday so more opportunities for people to not clean up after their dogs. Come on people, keep an eye on your pup and do the right thing!!! I do wish there were more trees or shaded spots out in the grass for the pups during the hotter months -- it can get pretty toasty out there. The picnic tables are under a shade structure, which is good. It would awesome if they could plant more trees. Every now and then, you'll see someone with a larger but mellow dog in the small dog area, but honestly, they all seem well-behaved and gentle, just a bit shy around the bigger dogs. There have been quite a few flies, but that seems to be more of a general outdoor issue everywhere, not specific to the park. Hopefully as the weather cools the flies go away. Overall, it's a good place for friendly, social dogs to run, play, and make new friends. Worth visiting if you're looking for dog park in the area.

The playground was a bit outdated, but still being enjoyed by many there are bathrooms and covered picnic tables which is great if planning a family day. The bathroom's definitely needed attention and didn't even have toilet paper. The dog park area was clean and also had extra bags to pick up your dogs business if you didn't bring any. My dog was attacked by 3 dogs this morning that were 3x her size while all of the owners did nothing but watch. They were more concerned about what they had for breakfast rather than helping me get their dogs off of Nala. Both the lady and the other man's dog grabbed my dog by her sweater and then her collar and drug her across the field. My poor dog was pinned to the ground and both of the owners had the audacity to scream and cuss at me when I grabbed their dogs off of mine and then pushed one of the dogs away when I picked my dog up. And not once did anyone even say sorry. In fact the lady that owned 2 of the dogs told me I need to go on the other side of the dog park. Maybe you shouldn't bring your ill mannered dogs to a public place. This use to be a really good dog park with respectful and responsible owners. But it's not anymore. I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train.
