I booked a same day appointment earlier this morning and was glad to see there was availability. Within minutes of my confirmation email, I got a text from Stefani to confirm my appointment. She then sent me a text message (not automated) with directions on how to get to the building and how to get inside. Oh, did I mention, there were pictures too? It really does not get easier than that. I followed Stefani's crystal clear instructions and got into the building with no trouble at all. The waiting area is very spacious and clean. I sent Stefani a text to let her know that I was outside and she responded instantly! Within a few minutes, she came out to greet me. Her work station is very well lit and spotless as well. Stefani has shots available to calm your nerves whether it's your first time getting waxed or your tenth time! If I didn't have to go back to work after my appointment, I would've definitely taken her up on her offer! Stefani's technique is fantastic! I've seen four other estheticians prior that all boast "painless" experiences. I can truly say my experience was painless. All the other estheticians I have seen cause me to wince when the wax is pulled off, despite them all using hard wax. Not once did I wince during the whole process with Stefani. You might think that painless is the equivalent to messy work that leaves behind strays. Not true in the slightest here. The main detail that differentiates Stefani from the other estheticians I've seen, is that she has a magnifying glass. She looks through the glass to double check the work and tweezes any strays. I was given a mirror to check the work, but didn't need it. Took a quick glance and everything was spotless. No strays at all. I have a low pain threshold, and Stefani made the process very easy. She's very personable and prices are fair. I will be back for sure!

When I met Candice and saw her glowing skin, I knew I was in the right hands. She showed me a cleansing and moisturizing method of only natural ingredients and sent me home with a toner, face balm, face oil, and scrub. Her toner is life changing. Now that I've had some time to look back on my draft, I realize I am still upset by my interaction with the manager here and want to make sure other potential customers are at least aware of my experience.] Update to my last review: The manager, Babaina, called me and I didn't have a great experience speaking with him. He was extremely focused on my review and getting me to delete it at any expense. His tone was very accusatory to me as someone who posted a negative (and honest) review, that everything was all about his business and his presence and number of stars on Yelp. He did not seem concerned with satisfying me as a customer, saying sorry for my experience, or asking how they can do better as a business. (To be fair, I did not contact Hollywood Beauty Threading when I realized how bad my extensions were. Babaina says they would have fixed it.) Here is the timeline of events: December 7, 2017 Babaina called me (I suppose he got my phone number from their booking calendar). He was really concerned about my review, saying that it would affect their business, and asked if I would remove it. I did not feel comfortable removing my review (it was, after all, my honest experience). He offered a refund on my extensions, and then added a free threading in exchange for removing my review. I said I would UPDATE my review with my threading experience. I said I would not change or delete my original review unless I had a good extension from them, and I did not want to get an extension from the same person again. He agreed reluctantly with this. Babaina called me back in a few minutes and said he would bring someone from his Stonestown location to do extensions for me. I said if I had a good experience, then I would actually change my review. I also said that he wasn't getting a return customer out of me, as this person from Stonestown cannot normally come to the Mission location (which is near my home), but I supposed he just cared about the review getting removed. Yup, he didn't care about satisfying me as a customer long-term - he just wanted to get rid of that review. So we made an appointment for December 19. December 12, 2017 I called Babaina after looking up eyelash extension Yelp reviews at the Stonestown location (all very negative) and left a message asking to cancel the appointment we made. I wanted to give plenty of notice and didn't want the woman coming all the way from Stonestown to make a trip for nothing. Babaina called back a couple times, but left no message. I assumed if it was important enough, he would leave a message. I didn't have time to deal with this any more at that point as I was leaving the country the next week. January 1, 2018 I return home from the holidays and call Hollywood Beauty Threading asking if I could still get a refund for my extensions. They said they are not giving me any refund or make-up extension. I don't care that I didn't get any refund or make up extensions, but I don't care for the way Babaina spoke to me and treated me as just a transaction. He should have cared more about my experience as a customer and not been so accusational towards me.
