Highly recommend Dermasugar SF! I'm a satisfied customer for over a year now. :) Most of my appointments were with Alyna. She's very kind, skillful and friendly. I also had a wonderful experience with Krystal. The place is clean, relaxing and comfortable. Sugaring well done. They pay a great attention to detail and care about their customers. Happy and grateful I found them! read more

Love Dermasugar! Have been going to Alyna for over a year now and she brought the life back to my face.

Alyna is great! Professional, helpful, and pain free. I love getting sugared here and have been going for years. I've noticed my hair come back thinner and less frequent. I highly recommend you give it a try! read more

Alyna was very kind and professional! It was my first time ever getting a facial and she explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She was very attentive and through when going through all of my skin concerns. Additionally, she was very knowledgeable about the issues I had and made helpful diet and lifestyle recommendations to help with my skin issues. After she was done, my skin felt so smooth, fresh, and glowy. I had a great experience and would highly recommend! read more

I'm so glad I found Leah on Yelp. We were able to book an appointment online the day before. I chose Leah over numerous other estheticians because she uses Style Seat for her website which doesn't require you to create an account and password. Style Seat just requires a credit card authorization. I wished I lived closer to Leah. She's the best esthetician at brow shaping using sugaring. She was really good at looking at my face shape and structure, and not ending my brows too narrow. I have wide cheekbones and she kept my brows wide. I also liked how she kept my brows thick, and not too thin. I can't find an esthetician in Texas who's as good as Leah. Her prices are affordable. I only paid $22 to have my brows sugared. read more

I've started coming here for sugaring and lash lift with Alyna since earlier this year. The service has been great every time! She's clean and efficient, which are things that I highly value in a service. My skin is very sensitive and prone to ingrowns but since I've been coming in for sugaring I've noticed how much better my skin has become: - pores look smaller - thinner and slower hair growth - no ingrowns! Also since coming in for my lash lifts I've noticed that my lashes have gotten thicker and longer from the keratin tint! Will be back! I'd definitely recommend Alyna's services! :) read more

I've been going to Jazzmin for years for sugaring, lash lifts, and facials. When she moved to Dermasugar, I followed her. There aren't many places or people that sugar locally and only provide waxing services -- so she's a hidden gem. My skin texture has also dramatically improved over the years from the regular facials I have gotten from Jazzmin. She's a skilled and knowledgeable esthetician and be assured you're in good hands when you book with her. read more

Had an extended bikini sugaring with Krystal. It was my first time and so she walked me through everything and answered all my questions. Overall positive experience read more

I have been sugaring lots of times and did not have a good experience here. They were really accommodating and I appreciated the flexibility a lot (hence two stars) but the sugaring technique and skill were not the best. The hair was not pulled from the root but was broken and once I got home I noticed there were some spots that were missed. I was really disappointed. I chose this place based on the great Yelp reviews but realized those are mainly for the owner who does not work at this location anymore but does come once in a while. My service was not done by her and so this review is not based on her work. read more

Really enjoyed my time at dermasugar. First time sugaring and it does feel softer on my hair. Great service, clinic, easy and hygienic. read more

Alyna's lash lifts remain the best I have ever received. She also provides wonderful advice for lash health

I have been going exclusively to Dermasugar for probably 7 years...this place is amazing. Alyna has been my go to girl for some time (previously the wonderful Leah) and I couldn't be happier with the services. Truly a gem in SF..highly recommend! read more

I did some research on lash treatments before deciding on the Yumi Lash Lift, as I liked that it only enhances your natural lashes and should be the least damaging of options from lash extensions to perms. I wanted to have purty lookin' eyeballs without needing to apply mascara, which saves me time in the morning and, most importantly, could make me feel less like a monster on bad skin days. Leah is a wizard and made it happen. I've never splurged on this kind of treat-yo-self before, but I'm glad that I got it done. Leah answered my questions and communicated clearly about the process throughout my first lash treament. I was comfy in her studio while she worked; I only felt minor stinging from the formula sneaking into my eyes and during glue removal, but I know she tried her best to be gentle with every step. I appreciated that she was careful and meticulous in taking time with each lash, especially in paying attention to my many baby lashes. There were a surprising number of steps and careful timing with each--the treatment took up the full appointment time! I'm happy with the results. I'm hopeful that the lash lift will last 8-12 weeks as described, but I might not get the full weeks as I erred in using an oil cleaner the night before. In any case, I look forward to seeing her again. I trust her work and skill now, so I want to also try a facial treatment next time. read more

See all

I found Leah because her SF location had amazing reviews and I LOVE that I can book her super easily through the Style Seat app. I originally meant to come to her just for Brazilian waxes, so it's a testament to her amazing skills that now I see her for Brazilian sugaring and my brows!! I was scared to try sugaring, because let's be honest, trying something new down there is terrifying. But Leah walked me through the benefits of sugaring over waxing and I decided to give it a try. It's totally worth it! While not pain free (obviously!) its soooooo much better than regular waxing and I definitely could tell a difference after just the first time. Way less hair grows back and it comes back way more slowly. I also always appreciate that Leah is conscientious and does the "breathe in, breathe out" for those few extra sensitive spots which makes a big difference. Even if your fair haired like me...give it a chance! I'd also never been much of a brow girl...I didn't really pluck or wax my brows...maybe once a year. But Leah has transformed my brows to be so dramatic and really elevate my face! Last time I saw Leah I went straight to an eyelash appointment even my lash girl commented on how amazing they look! Lastly, Leah is so sweet. Our convo is never awkward, I always enjoy catching up with her and I love supporting a female entrepreneur! If you're looking for someone who will take care of all your aesthetic needs and make you feel gorgeous, Leah is the girl for you!! read more

Incredible service, can't say enough great things about them!

Christina P. is seriously the only person I trust. I feel comfortable on her table and literally opening myself up to her if you know what I'm saying... (I'm talking Brazilians here ladies!) She's really fun to get to know. I've been getting hair removal services from Christina P since she was in school. I have followed her around like a lost puppy because I just truly believe there is no one like her. She's swift and careful and makes awkward or insure moments laughable. I would recommend her over and over again. And I do! You won't be sorry seeing my favorite Sugarista... she's got such sweet hands read more

Highly recommend Jazzmin. I had my first sugaring on my underarms and felt satisfied at the results. I also had a much needed facial. All the products smelled great and natural based. I learned so much from Jazzmin with each processed she was doing to my skin. Most important, I felt relaxed and rejuvenated. read more

I found Leah via Yelp as I was looking for a Yumi Lash Lift and she had rave reviews. I also decided to book her for sugaring in the same appointment since I had not found somewhere that I had really loved for either sugaring or waxing and she had so many positive reviews for sugaring in particular. I am so glad that I did - the reviews are spot on, Leah is amazing! I am not going to lie and say that the sugaring isn't painless, but she really knows what she is doing and I find it much less painful with her than any other sugaring I've had. Also, my skin is much clearer and hair has been growing back thinner from consistently going, which also helps reduce the pain. I'm also super happy with the Yumi Lash Lift - it's funny how just skipping a step in my make up routine can make my life so much easier, but it really does! I've tried lash extensions many times but for some reason, on my lashes, they fall of extremely quickly and only last for two weeks. I heard about a Yumi Lash Lift and did a bunch of research on it and found that it's the least damaging option and most natural. I also love that it lasts for two months! Aside from being an excellent esthetician, Leah is simply a pleasure to talk to and get to know - I enjoy catching up with her every time I have an appointment. It's also a breeze to make an appointment online, and she's extremely flexible - I've ran late a few times and she has always been able to adjust to get me in. I have never lived close to the Marina (I live in Hayes Valley), but for me, it is absolutely worth the trip to see Leah - she is the BEST! read more

Love DermaSugar! Jazzmin is quick, efficient and easy to talk to. I am a newer client and have only exchanged emails/text with Leah. Leah is quick to respond and extremely accommodating. I am so happy I found DermaSugar for my sugaring needs. I highly recommend! read more

It's pretty obvious how perfect this place is based on the reviews, but I just have to chime in. I came here based on the reviews alone.. and was not disappointed. This was perfect. Literally. The studio is so clean and comfortable. Leah is crazy good at what she does, she is super sweet, makes you feel really comfortable, and not to mention works pretty quickly. Everything went really smoothly and I've already booked my next appointment. PS the hard wax is about 10x less painful than normal wax! read more

Thank you Leah! I moved to SF from the Southbay and was referred to Leah by my previous esthetician. I can't say enough good things about Leah! I am a convert from waxing to sugaring and my experience has been the best. She is thorough, meticulous, and I so appreciate her working with me to accommodate schedules. It's a bit of a drive for me since I live on the opposite end of The City, but she's worth the drive! read more

Jazzmin gave me the most amazing lash lift and then also recommended great products for my combination skin. She's god sent!

Loved getting sugared by Jazzmin! Super sweet and super professional! I recently got my Brazilian sugared for the first time ever and it was amazing, the pain was bearable and worth it for the awesome results I got! My bikini are had never been so smooth before and the hair grew out finer and it took forever to grow back out and It usually takes just a couple days for stubble to come in, it literally changed my life and now I don't want to do it any other way!! It's going to be my fifth time coming and the results just keep getting better and better I've even noticed my Inner thigh area has gotten a bit lighter since I started sugaring! Highly recommend!! read more

It's 2017 and I'm still seeing Leah. She's still the best in the bay. I moved from SF back in 2016 to Oakland, tried to find someone closer, but realized Leah's un-replacable. Just make sure you book in advance as it seems everyone is learning what I found out in 2013- She's the best. read more

I always leave with glowing skin! Leah is brilliant. She has helped me get the best skin I've had in a decade!

I have been seeing Leah for my bikini sugaring for almost two years now and really cannot recommend her enough! Even after moving from the Marina to Bernal Heights, I continue to make the trek all the way across town for appointments. Worth it! Leah is so skilled and works fast, usually getting me in and out the door in under twenty minutes (which is a plus when it comes to this particular kind of service...you want it over with as quickly as possible!) Though we know each other well by now, I remember being so impressed with how comfortable she made me feel in the beginning--answering questions and giving me tips on how to maintain the results. Now I always look forward to chatting with her when I come in! I have also had a facial with her that was incredibly relaxing as well (and this is a reminder that it is about time I booked another). On top of it all, her space is cute, clean, and bright and it is so easy to book appointments online...what is not to love?! Thanks so much, Leah! You have a customer for life. read more
