The meals come with small Iced Tea and fries. And since they're a sister outlet of Hotdog On Sticks, this diner also offers my favorite Nathan's all-American hotdogs. The Julius, for example, has Bacon, Caesar Salad dressing and parmesan cheese. The Aucklander has ailoli, mint jelly and tomato relish. You get the idea. These hotdogs are sliced in such a way that they split when they open, making sure that all those toppings work their way into the dog and the bun with every bite. It's pretty brilliant, really. They've also got good snap to the casing which is a must for any decent, non-TJ hotdog. The only downside is the price. For a meal and a drink, be prepared to shell out around 200php. And the marinade recipe is so simple, because we were able to replicate it with the simple ingredients of Coconut vinegar, anatto oil (for red color) and lemongrass and Calamansi (lemon/lime hybrid). FYI, our chicken didn't come close but A for effort, namean!! There are now numerous locations throughout the Philippines (15,000 employees later) and we came to this one because it was close to the Pasay crib and we enjoyed smelling the smoke for medicinal purposes while waiting for our chicken. The chicken breast was awesome, the pork skewers were a bit fatty and undercooked. I'll stick exclusively to the chicken next time, note to self.
