They are very careful with furniture around the windows. They worked well as a team and got the job done as they described at the beginning. They even pointed out some windows that I need to pay attention - recommended either replace or repair. I accepted their professional opinion and will look into it soon. I recommend highly to anyone who is looking for a window washing service.

The public response to my initial review is just an attempt to minimize the real property damage to…read moremy home as a simple difference of "conclusion." The physical evidence proves I did not receive the skilled service I contracted for -- a low-pressure exterior soft wash (safely sprayed from 5-15 feet away, not inches) and a manual, ladder-accessed hand cleaning of my gutters. Major Panes actively advertises a dedicated "SOFT HOUSE WASHING" method, explicitly warning consumers on their website that "too much water pressure can strip paint and loosen siding, causing water intrusion issues to your home." They promise a low-pressure rinse where "the cleaning mixture does all the work so the water pressure doesn't have to." Instead, they sent an untrained crew that used high-pressure techniques. Because of the crew's lack of experience and improper techniques, my house received a high-power blast that caused damage. In his private email follow-up, the owner, Rob Taylor, openly admitted that their house-washing process "does require water to be sprayed at unusual angles" and confirmed they clean gutters by "spraying upward" from the ground. These close-up, upward angles violate industry standards for a safe soft wash. Their improper methods hit the house with such excessive force that it left a loose, warped HardiePlank board on the side of the house, permanent "tiger striping" (zig-zag pressure scars) on my exterior siding, chemical bleach spots, and internal flooding. Their poor chemical mixing left unsightly water marks and a permanent bluish-gray chemical stain on my factory-finished aluminum gutters due to inadequate final rinsing. Major Panes actively advertises an "EXTERIOR GUTTER WHITENING" service, promising to clean them with "the right cleaning solutions and elbow grease" using precise, manual hand-scrubbing. Instead, they went against their own advertised standards by blasting high-pressure wands upward from the ground, permanently stripping the factory enamel finish. Shockingly, their own website copy openly admits the highly volatile nature of these chemicals, warning consumers that if not handled properly, "there is a risk of the cleaning agent leaving splotches on your siding." The company's job listings make it clear that Major Panes actively recruits "Entry Level Techs" with no prior industry experience required. The listing openly admits that "Certification programs are available for bonuses," confirming that the techs sent to client homes are not automatically certified or properly trained soft-wash technicians when they are hired; certification is merely an optional incentive. They are putting high-velocity commercial pressure equipment and chemicals into the hands of uncertified, entry-level workers and charging consumers a premium rate of almost $500. They failed to shield or tape vulnerable entry points, like my door lock. If the tech wasn't spraying too close or at a dangerous angle, the water wouldn't have entered my lock and dripped down the door handle, making a puddle on the floor. The tech who caused the water to come inside even saw it dripping himself. The public response explicitly states that he had to "apply lubricant to the internal mechanism" of my door lock during his follow-up visit, and I personally witnessed him spray dry lubricant straight into the door handle chassis as well. He did not even bother to clean the chemical residue off the door handle, dismissively stating that it was dry. If his crew did not improperly blast high-velocity water directly into my hollow keyhole and handle housing, there would be absolutely no operational reason for him to lubricate the internal mechanical locking tumblers and handle springs. Applying a temporary spray lubricant to a chemically flooded lock and handle does not undo the long-term corrosive damage caused by their bleach mixtures. If this lock mechanism fails or corrodes in the coming months, Major Panes will be fully liable for the cost of the complete replacement and locksmith services. I did meet face-to-face with the owner, Rob Taylor--not Lindsey. Rob claimed during our driveway meeting that the resulting scars on the wall were just "paint on paint," which is an industry myth used to deflect from high-pressure spray tips being swept too close to a surface. During his follow-up, the owner removed the remaining spider webs and the hornet's nest that his crew had missed. But those basic details should have been completed the day the job was performed, and likely would have been if the crew had not arrived 90 minutes late, forcing them to take shortcuts and rush to finish. My concerns were not addressed immediately either; it took my public reviews to get a response from the owner, as the previous emails and surveys just gave me deflection and a lot of BS. I'd be very careful about who you hire and whether they stand behind their work.

For a Christmas present, my in-laws got us a window cleaning through First Class Clean. My in-laws…read morehad their house cleaned by FCC a few weeks earlier and the results were stunning, so it was a nice surprise that they had given us this gift for our house. I wasn't there during the cleaning, but my wife had a positive experience. The guys were in and out relatively fast, and in general were very pleasant. She was at home with a newborn, and they were accommodating to which rooms they cleaned first so she wouldn't be bothered while they were there. A few nits: they cleaned every glass door and window that faces the outside, except the small amount of glass on the door leading to our garage. When my wife asked about it when reviewing their work, they said that it was not included in the estimate so they wouldn't clean it (and my Mother-in-law was under the impression that it was included). Not sure if they had already packed their equipment up, but it would have been a nice gesture to clean that small window. Also, we had a detached screen on our back porch that was leaning up against the window that they laid down on the porch in order to clean the window. But they didn't put it back where they found it, so I came home to see a screen laying flat on the back porch. A final walkthrough to check for these little things would have been nice. A few more positives: they cleaned our chandelier in the foyer and it looks amazing. They even replaced the burnt-out lightbulbs, which had been bugging me for a while. They cleaned our skylights so well that it made me realize they weren't frosted, just super dirty. Also, they removed some spiderwebs around our highest window that had been there for years. Now I don't get disgruntled every time I look at that window. All in all, it was a nice treat to have First Class Clean clean our windows. You never really know how dirty your windows are until you have them cleaned by professionals like First Class Clean. Now our house is brighter and I'm not embarrassed by the state of the windows. We will definitely use these guys again!
