So you decided to visit a strip club. Pink Pony luckily is a somewhere between a strip club and sports bars. Normally it is a strip club but there is so little stripping, sometimes it helps to pretend it is a sports bar. If you aren't a tourist, it helps to pretend that it is a g-rated strip sports bars like Hooters or Tilted Kilt or something similar. Why the 1 star? I think Pink Pony is the weirdest strip club that I visited. It is mostly a horrible experience as a dance club because there is so little actual dancing. Yet it seems to have all of the properties of a strip club. What does that mean? Well if you go before 1am Saturday night then you might as well go to sports bar because you are sure as hell aren't getting any dancers or stripping. between 1pm and 11pm, the Pony is a large desolate bar. Even the bartenders aren't around. No dancing, no bartenders. Just a bunch of guys going, "WTF am I?". Sure, you heard good things about the Pony 10 years ago. It can't be that bad. So guys just kind of sit around, looking at each other, "WTF am I?". I have been to a lot of the clubs in Atlanta and Pony is by far the worst. Even as a 'bar' experience it is pretty bad. Nothing really happens except late night Sat. And even then it is mostly very selective air dances. At some clubs, a girl is trying to make money. At the Pony, they run from the money to that locker/bathroom. And if you are lucky enough to be a professional football player or you are 70 year old retiree, maybe you will get lucky enough for an air dance and you can try to salvage a wasted night. Yea Pink Pony is pretty bad. Why go? I don't know. I guess it has some history in Atlanta. The location is pretty prime, just north of the metro area and not far from 285 North. It is large enough that is you make the mistake of coming here then you can leave without getting noticed. There is no shame in visiting a strip club but maybe there is shame in mistakenly visiting the Pony. Am I just a strip club basher? Like I said, I have been to a lot of clubs. I spent way too much time in Follies, Oasis is pretty decent. Gold Club has a niche. Tattletates, Pinups are all good clubs. I have nothing against them, I just hope no one visits the Pony. I wanted to write this review hoping management will change or the Follies people take it over. You want to know how horrible the Pink Pony is? Look at the reviews, they are mostly women. Okay, me and my buddies have been to the Pony on several occasions. Usually it's the best place around if you're driving down from N.GA. BUT, last night was terrible. Me and 2 friends arrived at 9pm to an almost empty parking lot. As we walked up there were two "security officers" waiting to con us. We were charged $10 for parking (always had been $3 before) and on top of that, we all got groped by some grizzly addams looking guy. Told my friend he couldn't wear his bandana, but I could wear my hat? Walk in, pay another $10 just to get into the joint, walk through the door, beer-tub girl is trying to sell beer. What the hell? atleast it'll be cold. The place is almost empty, but as usual most of the girls are damned gorgeous and we start tossing bills. Every waitress offered to get us more drinks, which is nice at first because at some bars you have to go to the bar to get one. But gets annoying after awhile when they're trying to take your half-fulls and bring you new ones. We sat around talking and watching girls, buying drinks and dances. We drop about $200/ea on beers and girls, then some "manager" walks up at 11pm AFTER the place is packed and there is nowhere to sit, and tells us the table we're at is now "reserved" and we have to get up and move. Where I ask? "Not my problem guy". So we relocate to the only place with empty seats left, the bar. We continue buying drinks and dances, tipping the ladies, then the "bartender" says we have to move because more people are coming in and they want to sit at the bar? So here's my official review: Mostly cute girls with nice tight bodies to take your money. Beers are only $5 which is about average for this type of establishment. Waitresses are friendly and courteous, as well as the working ladies. Management needs a SERIOUS OVERHAUL, be prepared to get kicked from your table Bartenders needs to realize you don't kick paying patrons that are buying drinks away from the bar so new people can come sit down. Girls and waitresses 4/5 (Most are hot, some are for "different tastes I.E. mohawk) Management 0/5 (Couldn't even talk to the club manager) Bartenders 1/5 Got drinks, but also kicked away from the bar so new people could sit down and maybe buy the drinks we were already buying. Worst experience ever. Had guest in town and they wanted to buy a round of drinks. Our waitress had my friends ID and was no where to be found. We been trying to leave to go to another bar and we asked about 10 waitresses and none of them knew who our waitress was or try to help us. All they wanted was to make money and keep it moving without going out of there way to help us out. The bar manager and the club manager didn't help or tried to help me and left me hanging. Yep. We had a Bachelor party for my son. 8 of us guys. I had not been to an adult entertainment place in 36 years. First time at Pink Pony. I spoke to Tim a few days before the 3rd of November to see what they had for Bachelors. He mentioned the Bachelor Party Package and we signed us up. We arrived about 9pm and stayed until 1am. The guys out front were very polite and helpful. We entered and the young lady behind the counter was nice and the gentleman we spoke with as well. He got us with a waitress and she took us to our reserved table. Im terible with names so cant remember any names but several ladys were very entertaining. Side note but Im not taking away from 5 stars is that some ladies acted like they did not want to be there and or did not want to come say hello when asked to come dance for my son. But 90 percent of them were great. There were 4 or 5 ladies that were excellent. One that wore glasses was our favorite and she danced for James several times. She also took a liking to James at that time future father in law. Some of the guys were in town from Memphis and some from St Louis. Every one enjoyed the champaigne and we all got a good laugh out of James up on stage with the 4 ladies and him dancing for them and the DJ did a great job of teasing him too. Over all a great time. If I ever have an opportunity to go to another bachelor party like maybe for James father in law if he gets married again I will highly recommend Pink Pony. I asked James for input. Please take the time to read, because YOU could be treated the same way I was. This review is for the individuals like me, that wonder if the Pink Pony is worth going to instead of another venue of a similar genre. Let me start by mentioning how incredibly overcrowded this place is by people who would never care to notice there are better places to go spend their money. I wanna say I probably saw no more than 6 strippers the entire hour or two I spent here. My girlfriend and I got a lap dance from a very polite girl that is the only insignificant 'hail Mary' that gave this place a second star in my review, however, knowing that the girls are private contractors, their likeness says nothing about the establishment which I am reviewing. Now to move on to the part that ruined my entire night. When I arrived, I went in, paid covers for my girlfriend and I, then went to the ATM as I had no cash on me. Decided to take out $100. The ATM didn't dispense the cash and did not produce a receipt, which I requested. I went to the front to let the cashier know that I hadn't received the money, and she quickly said "Go lift the flap so somebody else doesn't take it!" I had already done this, but this indicates that they are aware of a separate issue in which people lose their money. She called the manager, he requested I pull up my bank account on my phone, because I didn't have a receipt. I obliged. He said "I can't see that". I put my phone closer to his face and pointed to the transaction. He said "No, I can't see because I need reading glasses to read", to which I reply, "Okay, put them on". He said "I don't have any". Then he said "The ATM is owned by a separate company and you'll have to dispute the charge with your ba- "You and I both know I'm not getting my money", pointing to his face. He continued to babble nonsense while I walked away. I am not upset about the way this man behaved, because his life as a manager of a terrible place is likely unfulfilled and lacking of moral substance, nonetheless, he handled the situation horribly. YOU could be treated this way, and I want people to know what they face if there is some kind of issue where you need the management to do what's right. The last time I was here, was in 2006, so the rules could of changed. The hightlight of the night, was listening to a guy sitting next to me, who said he used to play for the Chicago Bears. I was insulted by the doorman on the way in to the club. He made a snide remark about my girlfriend, stating that.... " That bitch should not come in because she doesn't work there," then once in a young man walked up and puked on my $1000 Versace jacket. I walked over to the manager and politely explained to him what happend at which time he told me to, " Get over it," and tossed me a wet rag, where I suppose he expected me to clean the vomit off of my jacket and the floor. I got the owner involved, " Eddie," and asked if he wouldn't mind getting the guy who got sick to pay $5 or $6 bucks to dry clean my jacket and then he told me there was nothing he could do and that I was being unreasonable and an a$$hole. DO NOT use your bank or credit card in here! There is a minimum charge of $25.00 just for using it! When we first got there I went to the bar and paid cash for one beer and told the bartender that I wanted to start a tab with a waitress at our table. We ended up not staying very long so I never actually charged anything on the tab. When the waitress came back with my card and drivers license (yes, they take your license when you start a tab?) there was a $25 charge on my card! when I asked why? she said there's a $25 minimum charge for using a card even if you don't actually use it? When I asked to see the manager or the owner she said they had stepped out for the moment (How convenient). I just refused to sign the ticket and decided I would work it out with my card issuer when I got home instead of waiting around for what might not happen. Then I get home and see that the waitress charged it and the bartender did as well! So I paid $5.00 to park, $10.00 to get in, $25.00 mystery debit card charge from the waitress and $25.00 mystery debit card charge from the bartender for a beer ($4.00). So I spent nearly $70.00 dollars for a Bud Light! The Club itself is OK. The girls are nice (the waitress was even polite as she robbed me!) and most were attractive, but be warned: underhanded business practices are in effect. When I called them to get at least one of the charges taken off they said a double charge just shows up sometimes to verify the account and one would be taken off in 3-5 business days. Even though their records showed 2 different girls made a charge. One a waitress and one a bartender. Needless to say the charge was never removed and they refused to take it off after repeated attempts. It used to be a great place. The new manager has made his life mission to have NO CONTACT in VIP- he likes to bust in and say things like "hands off the girl, this isn't a brothel." He has fired girls for contact, and is threatening the rest. It is quickly becoming the most boring place in town. You can get more action at church. I will never return to the Pink Pony as the management there is racist. A couple of years ago me and a couple of my friends went there on a Saturday night. It was packed so we had to wait about half an hour for a table to sit down. After procuring our table we continued to order drinks and lap dances. About half an hour later this group of Caucasian males comes in and begin to do like we did and wait for a table to open up. To our utter surprise and indignation we were asked to give up our table to the group of white people that just walked in. Of course, we refused stating that they could wait just like us. First the waitress asked us to get up, then the manager of the establishment. I thought we were reliving a Civil Rights moment! Had segregation been reinstated! After we refused to give up our table for the second time the manager got security to throw us out. Needless to say I would not give this establishment 1 star if that option existed. Went on a Friday night in May. Got in free with my Brave ticket but had to pay for parking. Me and my buddy were visiting from out of town. It was very crowded but there were very beautiful girls dancing on 3 stages. There were lots of waitresses constantly offering beer for $5. No strippers offered any lap dances but it was so crowded that it was no big deal to me. The highlight was all of the cute shot girls that went around giving customers "hot" shots. for only $5. I paid for two hours in the VIP booth, and my waitress was the best one out of the staggeringly few number of people that showed up. In those two hours I had three shot girls show up and two dancers, One dancer I was about to book for private left mid-dance because she was called on stage and never returned, the other one danced for my buddy. The place became packed and so many people were standing around my booth (and on my stairs so that they could see) that I couldn't even comfortably leave to go and tip anybody on stage. To top it all off, when I complained to the manager, he said that next time I should have asked him to get a girl for me... I've always enjoyed myself here and go often since I live nearby. Arrive before 7:00 and there is no cover and park in the outer free parking area. That's two table dances ($20) of savings and I'd rather give my money to the women and bartenders. The "talent level" seems to vary a good bit over time but I always see some I like. In the lousy economy I'm surprised I don't see a few more hotties going into the biz. The ATM gives cash ($7 fee) not phony money as someone else says. Can be a bit smokey - I think as the last legal refuge for smokers they go smoke crazy. Some girls aren't too great but I usually give them some sympathy bucks and compliments to make a difficult job a bit better. The VIP can get pricey $250 to 400 to whatever depending on how long you stay and the # of girls. Test drive a girl with a few table dances and flirtation and get their promise to make it worth the $ before doing the VIP. A few have the "least for the most " mentality -hardcore lesbians I suspect-and can disappoint. The beer tub girl is great. A lot of couples and women go to the club now and that's not a good thing. They don't spend money and take up needed tables. Just a novelty, people-watching thing for them. I went to this club 10/13/17 with 5 other buddies for a bachelor party. We were trying to get a table. One of the servers got us a table by making some people get up that were just sitting there doing nothing. In order for me to do that I had to buy a bottle. I was going to get one anyways. I paid $300 for that bs. Some guy brought it out. They are supposed to make a big deal by putting sparklers in it as the walk to the table. They didn't. Anyways, a shot girl came by. She was super gorgeous. I got a shot for me and the groom to be. She would sit on your lap and let you grab her butt and tits. After that she then begs me to get a private room. I tried to get my buddy to go. He would not. I was like fine I'll go. I finally get back there. I did not have enough cash. No big deal to me. She then got bitchy about it. I told her to put it on my tab. We did not do any of the stuff she said we could do in there. I touched her hair on accident and she complained about it. I accidentally touched it again she complained again like I was hurting her. It was the weirdest thing. When it was all said and done the server or whatever she's called brought me my tab. It was $588. That was the bottle and the private room. She looks at me and says, "You're going to leave a $200 dollar tip, right?" I swear those were her exact words. I laughed and said are you kidding. She was serious. She was trying to make me tip her $200 for doing very little work. She then went on a whiny, bitchy rant. All she did was get is a table and make us a few drinks. She said a 30% tip was normal. Half of the tab had nothing to do with her. I was trying to explain that to her. She was not getting it. I did give her a $20 and a stack of ones. It had to be around $60 or more. She told her manager I only gave her $30. I explained to him what happened and he said I was right. She was still trying to get me to leave her at least $100 tip on the tab. I told her that tipping was optional. No one has to leave a tip and that it was not right for her to beg for tips and try to force people to leave what she thinks she deserves. They are crooked. Oh yeah...when I went into the private room the main guy came in there and asked for the $260. That's right. It only costs 260. She tried to get 300. Only the 2nd strip club I've ever been to, but I was a little unhappy with our experience here. NONE of the strippers came over to our table or even spoke to us. One waitress tried to make us move, saying that there was a 2 drink minimum AFTER I'd had 2 drinks (my boyfriend doesn't drink at all). I ordered 2 more drinks after that, and we were still asked to move to allow another party to come in. At that point, the waitress took us over to a seat at the bar, where the bartender told us that there was a separate 2 drink minimum there. At that point, we left. I guess you either have to be a regular or throwing money left and right to get any service or respect.
