On 12/20/19 I was walking past  Pink-e Lucy's Gown Designs, I saw the gown hanging on a mannequin in the display window.   I went in to ask about the dress as I was looking for a mother of the bride dress.  Lucy immidiately advised me that she was the owner of the shop and the designer of the dress. I tried the dress on, I loved it but it was a little too big. Lucy told me that she was having a trunk sale of her designs, she said that the original price of the dress was $389 but on that day only, the dress would cost me $194.50 and she would alter it at a discounted price of $135.  I tried on the dress and I loved it, she refused to allow me to take a picture because in her words "it was a one of a kind dress and that's how designs are stolen. "  Her statement did not make a lot of sense but I bought the dress. In early Feb.2020 we were at a dress makers in Porterville, my sister was looking in the current issue of the May Queens catalog and there was my "one of a kind dress" in four differant colors with a retail price of $190. On Feb. 22, 2020, I and some of the other bridal party went to the LA garment district. We visited a bridal shop, as soon as I walked in there was a rack full of "my dress" in differant colors for under $190. The dresses had the designer tags on the inside of the dress, please note that the tag has been cut out of my dress. On Feb 25, 2020, I went back to Lucy's shop, I reminded her that I was the lady that had bought her design and showed her my receipt reminding her that she had agreed to alter my dress for the amount on the receipt.  She said that of course she remembered her design. I shared the above stated info with her and advised her that the dress was not her design and not one of a kind. She proceeded to tell me that she had sold the design and that's why others were now selling the dress.  I responded that clearly this was not her design and for her to just admit  that she had lied.  She became very flustered and responded that if it were her design she would have written that info on the receipt. She would not admit that it was not her design but kept repeating that if were it would have been stated on the receipt. End of story, the dress maker in porterville is altering my dress for under $50.  He found that the dress I bought had one sleeve shorter then the other and there had been an additional piece sewn at the bottom of the dress, because of the type of material of the dress this could not be seen until he started working on it.  When I confronted Lucy about this she showed me another dress just like my "one of a kind" dress with imperfections on it to show that it was not she who had altered it. Well what this now tells me is that Lucy is buying seconds/irregulars, inflating the prices then putting them on a half price sale for the actual retail price of a well made dress.   Good luck to anyone who continues  to do business with this lady after reading this as she is a liar and a scammer.  Please see attachments. read more

If I could give this place NO stars I wish I could. The customer service & quality of this place is awful. The person we dealt with was "Lucy" she was rude condescending and not helpful at ALL. At time she didn't even answer my text messages & yes I have screenshots! My dress was not properly made for months. EVEN after being paid for completely. I was not fitting into my dress but had roughly 5 months to do so, so I was not worried yet she wouldn't let me try on my dress that *I* paid for saying I'd "rip" it????.I returned 2 months later & it sipped up BUT the bottom was not done (she assured me the bottom was done MONTHS AGO). I came for my veil 3 days later because they said it would done, once I came "Lucy" looked at me and said she didn't have anything for me? She said no one communicated with her even though she was on the phone with the girl that was helping me & I heard her! She said due to covid my veil was being held at a "dock" since she ordered it from "China"!? She never told me she would be. Lastly, I came to pick up my veil 5/15/20 a weekend away from my wedding. When I looked at my veil I was speechless. It was NOT DONE, she tried making herself feel better by saying "well due to covid you probably won't have your wedding this weekend right?" That is NO reason to NOT have it done ESPECIALLY when everything is paid. It is ridiculous this place is still running with the management & quality they produce. If anyone gets anything out of this review I hope it is that they NEVER shop from here. Extremely disappointed!! I attached the contract SHE did not abide by. & the photos of the disgusting veil she gave me. Yes I told her it wasn't mine & she argued back. Writing this for my dear friend. Since I have to give 1 star I guess I wil. First she found a beautiful dress for her wedding that was about 2 1/2 weeks away. The girl assured her we can do alterations in 3 days. No worries. So she went and got fitted. My friend was flying out on december 22 to get married in Pennsylvania. After 1 1/2 weeks she called and said when can i try on my dress. This should have been the final try on. It was the tuesday before she was to fly out and we went and tried the dress on and everything about this dress was messed up royally. They cut the train off and it was too tight and wouldnt even zip. (And she had even lost weight lol) While Im watching my friend cry they tried to give her store credit. I mean really after you messed up her dress so bad do you think she wants to have another dress. Everybody had gone on vacation and maybe forgot about the alterations we think they just sent it to somebody real quick. Was just a crazy sad mess. They ended up giving her money back after a few choice words. Beware if you need alterations please make sure they are true to their word. Do it sooner than you need it. read more

I searched for the perfect dress for my 20 year wedding Anniversary . I shopped all over the valley and finally came back to town and so glad that I went into PINK-E. The owner is on site. She's a professional seamstress. I chose a dress and she offered altering and making few changes: The dresses are gorgeous, the staff is professional and friendly. Locally some stores don't sell the dresses in inventory they have to order them. That wasn't convenient for me. The owner of PINK-E sold the dress to me today. I bought my quince dress from this boutique. Before, I tried a *sample dress* and fell in love with the dress. A month later my mom and I came back to the boutique to order the dress I tried on. I tried on s sample dress, which means the designer will *remake that exact dress and customize it for my fitting and liking*. So we told the designer what I wanted my dress to look so it can match with me theme. We picked and wrote down what rhinestones, fabrics design and color they were gonna use; they even showed us that they have it. So, we *placed a pick up date, two weeks before my quince.* That gives the lady 5 months to take all my measurements, make meetings with us and to make my dress. Two months went by and the lady hasn't contacted with us at all. My mother visited the boutique around 3 times a week asking, "have you started on the dress yet?" "how's the progress? you haven't contacted us...when do you want to measure my daughter??" And what the designer said was "oh it's fine, we have plenty of time. Don't worry about it." Another month passed and now we have two more months before my quince. My mom and I were so worried, and again my mom called and visited to see if she has ever started on my dress.....and she said the same thing. Another month passed and we now have one more month before my quince. This was the final straw, my mother and I went to the boutique, confronted the lady, showing all of our paper work. Telling her that she has never contacted us or gave us an update on the dress nor bothered to call to schedule a meeting. And then the told us that she got the dates wrong and thought my quince was next year. So we then took my measurements and scheduled a meeting next week. A week went by and she has *already made the top of my quince dress.* I tried it on, it didn't fit. Let me tell you that I gained weight and grew from the last few months(cause I do sports). The top looked like a xxs cropped top. It was soooo tight, revealing and extremely uncomfortable. My mother was upset, and wanted her to remeasure me so she can remake the top of my dress. A few weeks past and she has made the bottom of my dress and had the top attached to it. I saw it and it didn't look like the dress we planned out months ago. The rhinestones were different and she used different fabric for one of the layers of my dress. When I tried it the top was still small and the bottom skirt was extremely long, I was tripping. The lady was no help whatsoever, she kept saying "oh it's so pretty" "I think you look great" "oh no it's fine" but that didn't cut it out for my mother and I. We later than called in my Madrina to see the dress and she was upset as well. So we asked if she could make adjustments and she said she will. I now have 3 weeks till my quince and my dress was still not done, we visited one last time and one of her employees was redoing half my rhinestones and making sure that I'll fell comfortable. We paid, and my dress turn out to be $500-$800. On the day of my quince I felt comfortable in my dress, but I was tripping. I was tripping so much I ripped it and dirtied it. One of my straps broke off and my rhinestones and flower designs broke off. She went cheap on my dress and used the *top of the sample dress for my dress and tried to adjust it to my size. Even thought she said in the beginning that she will remake that exact dress head to toe from the beginning. I'll 10/10 do not recommend this boutique and I advise to buy your quince dress from a boutique such as Moda2000. A boutique that has excellent and trust worthy dresses. read more

I had the most horrible experience with Lucy. My quince was the last week of July and I went with her at the beginning of April so I had 3 months for my dress, when I tried on the dress she told me I would have to get it customized because I am big breasted and all the quinceñera dresses run smaller so I was like ok. She got the measurements and told us that she would call us after prom which was May 11 because she would be very busy so we said okay. It was almost June when my mom had to call her because we never got a call from her like she said and she told us to go into the boutique which we did. She got my measurements once again and started doing the corset (the top part of the dress). She told us to go in a few weeks later to get fitted so we did and it fit me big so she said that I "had lost weight" which I knew was a lie because I had not gained nor lost any weight so she made adjustments to it which we went in a week later to get it fitted again and at that point it fit me too small so she once again said I "gained weight" which was a lie so she asked it I was on my period which I was but was almost off and she said that I was bloated so she told us to go in again. So at this point I had brought my damas a few weeks ago to get fitted because they were going to get there dress there as well which I regretted so bad because she got sizes that did not fit them. She had to make adjustments to them which she charged for and she just kept making adjustment to which kept adding to the price. We were 2 weeks from the quinceñera and she still didn't have my dress done or my damas dresses done either. She told us that we had came in late to get my dress which we went in at a good time as she had said at the beginning. My aunts and grandma also went in to get there dress from there a long time after us and said that we came in after them. Also one thing she has is that she makes assumptions for example my aunt said she was going to the gym so Lucy thought that she would loose weight by the following fitting which my aunt DID NOT and she ordered her a size smaller than she was and charged her to make it bigger. Now we are at a point where it's a week from the quinceñera day and the dress is still not done so we went in for another fitting to get the top checked out and it still was not fitting so me and my mom where stressed out also because the damas dresses where also not done. The Tuesday before the quince we went to get the last fitting because the whole dress was done FINALLY and the dress was long at the bottom but she said it wouldn't drag but that it would touch the ground a little bit like I wanted so when we were done we agreed to pick up the dress on Thursday and the damas had there dresses already. When we went to pick up the dress on Thursday we where getting the crinolina which is the rings that go underneath the dress to lift it up and she was going to give us one that was all ugly and torn up but I had not tried that one on the day we went to the last fitting and she said that the one she was going to rent us was already rented out to someone else so she brought out a brand new one and said that any little rip she was going to charge us 200 dollars to replace it which is not what we had agreed on the last fitting. The day of my quince I kept tripping on the dress and it ruined my waltz because I had to hold the whole bottom of the dress as well as dance and it just didn't work. We did try to do many things to keep the dress up which didn't work. When we returned the crinolina in my mom told her that I was tripping all over the dress that night and she had the dignity to say that we should have went in to the boutique the day of the quince to get it altered which I ask myself At what time was I supposed to go in ? She should know that the day of a big event no one has the time to be doing that and that everything is so hectic. She also likes to talk shit about her customers for example during one of the fittings she told us that some of her costumers where going to have a quinceñera in August and that the damas were going to wear black dresses and that they were stupid for doing so. This is regarding to me because I was going to wear customized vans to my quince and she told my aunts during one of there fittings that she has never heard of anyone who had worn tennis shoes to a quinceñera and that it was going to look bad. I wish you could rate a business 0 stars because that is what this unprofessional business deserves. My sister purchased her prom dress from them. The dress needed alterations so when she left the dress behind they gave her a date of when it would be ready. The day came and she still hadn't received a phone call, so she decided to call them. She called was placed on hold for a long time while they claimed to look for the dress, came back and said there was no order ever placed which was a lie because she clearly had the receipt. A lady who claimed to be the business owner quickly became very impolite and rude. After some time, they found the dress and contacted us. The dress had not been finished and asked us to pick up the dress at a later time, which we did. As soon as we stepped into the store the lady who claims to be the business owner was flat out rude and disrespectful. We ignored it and tried on the dress until we saw that the dress had burn marks. We brought up our concern and she let us know that they couldn't do anything about it, that it was not their fault. We asked for a refund which they refused at first, after arguing back and forth for a while she agreed to refund a portion of the dress. On our FB review she claimed that she offered my us to choose another dress, which she did but when we asked if the dress would be ready in time she laughed and said no. She also stated that "she didn't care if she ruined my sisters event". With that being said, save yourself the headache and spend your money else where. read more

My family and I shopped around for a dress for a very special event. There was bits and pieces we liked from multiple dresses. We ended up at Pink E's hoping the designer would be able to combine elements of dresses we love. We showed her pictures. At the beginning all staff including the designer were very great and willing to tell me what i wanted to hear which was it can be done it Not the exact designs but similar. All we wanted was a heart shape top and the bottom the puffier the better. What was discussed with the designer isn't what I feel was discussed and agreed upon. I told the designer I wasn't happy with the product. She told me she could not copy the exact dresses which I understand and wasn't expecting the exact dress. I expected the designer to give me options as to parts of dress I didn't like. For the price that was paid ($540)it wasn't worth it. Didn't get a heart shape top and the fabric on the bottom looked cheap and wasn't puffy enough. I would not go back and would not recommend Pink E. read more
