The worst Pedicure I ever had the heels of my feet were never even touched…read more The person in charge is very nasty and does not even try to accommodate her patrons. The instruments used would just lightly sprayed with alcohol. Nothing was sealed very dirty. I will never go back there. Your answer to my review does not make sense. Why would i have to specify to do my rough heels. That comes with ANY pedicure. A pedicure is not just massaging legs and painting toenails. It should not be extra any other place does heels even with regular pedicure

I just moved to Staten Island from Jersey and I have had the same nail girl for years. My biggest…read morething is nail shape. I get LCN or "sculpting gel" there's a few names for it. Anyways I get stiletto nails as pointy as possible and am big on them being sleek, even, and not bulky. This place is super close to my new house and it had good reviews so I figured I'd give it a try. I came here 2. 1st time was for a pedicure. It was mediocre and literally took 2 hours. I'm not as picky on my pedicures but the amount of time it took did start to annoy me a bit since I just got a standard pedicure. They told me they do the sculpting gel though so I decided I'd come back here for my fill. Which I did today. Wendy did my nails, and she's plenty nice, however I mentioned I wanted them sharper atleast 15 times including before she started with the polish which wasn't even close to the nudish pink I wanted but at that point I was just way more worried about the shape. Afterwards I even bought a new file off of them to try to salvage the shape as much as possible on my own. On to try the next spot....here's what I left with.

The owners are very friendly, i feel like they're all my friends there, the vibe is so warm & relaxing!

I've been going to Green Hill Nails for a while, and unfortunately the quality has gone downhill…read moresignificantly. I know what a properly done gel manicure should look like, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I had been growing my natural nails out and specifically told the technician that I wanted them only a little shorter with a skinny almond shape. Instead, she cut my nails extremely short--so short that there was barely any length left and an almond shape was no longer possible. When I questioned what she was doing, she told me she could fix it with builder gel. The builder gel was applied extremely thick. I had to ask her to make it thinner, but even after that, the nails still looked bulky and poorly structured. There was little attention to the apex, cuticle area, or overall shape. One hand ended up round while the other was almond, and she did not correct them to match as I requested. The gel polish application was also messy, and within only a few hours the gel was already soft and peeling. When I got home, my nails were hurting and I was very unhappy with the result, so I called the salon. The owner, Mia, told me to come back the next day and said they would fix them. Unfortunately, when I returned, they didn't want to spend the time to fix everything properly. She would only offer a refund if I allowed them to remove everything I was not comfortable having everything removed that day because one hand had been cut so short and filed so narrow that I barely had any nail left so I needed them to fix their work. The owner acknowledged that the technician had messed up and explained that I had only been charged $35 instead of the original $75 because of the issue.( didn't charge me for the builder gel). However, she suggested I come back in a week or two, originally offered 10 percent off my next visit. I reiterated I want a refund and she said max offer 50% off, but I would still have to pay for additional builder gel to repair a problem that resulted from the original service due to the technician inability to understand and skillset. What is most frustrating is that I went in with long, healthy natural nails and left with extremely short, painful, uneven nails that did not resemble what I requested. I'm very disappointed because I used to have a good experience here and trusted this salon with my nails. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Green Hill Nails and would encourage others to carefully consider their options before booking.
