Stopped in today to get takeout for lunch just before 12:30 pm. It was quiet, the bar was busy. It was clean. The lone server greeted me as soon as I walked in, asked me to hang on a few minutes. I had checked the menu and ordered an American Burger "Fresh handmade patty grilled to your liking and topped with melted American cheese. Served on a toasted buttery brioche bun with a side of hand-cut fries." I ordered medium rare, and asked for some siracha aioli on it. I waited a bit then headed home to eat lunch. The good: The brioche bun was buttery. The fries were crunchy. My burger did have requested aioli on the side, and the other veggies as ordered. The bad: The bun was stale on the edges. The burger was not medium rare, it was burnt. and was dry and tiny. The bun oversized the burger. If those fries are hand cut, my name is Rumpelstiltskin. They were covered with a ton of pepper. Maybe they were frozen "hand cut style" fries. Cmon, at least be honest on your menu. The hand cut fries and the details in the menu were why I came. My advice - move on- there are better burgers and fries in the area. $17 of disappointment to feed the trash can.

Can't beat a good live band to increase the fun quotient...

The new owner is working hard to make this a fun neighborhood spot. Very solid menu, well prepared, friendly staff and on Saturday night a good live band. Hopefully the first of many visits.

When it comes to Billerica, there are a ton of Bars and Taverns to choose from. Royal Tavern stands alone in my opinion. It has a smaller less overwhelming bar unlike some places, with plenty of seating on the restarant side. Ive ate here now a hand full of times and everything I've had was perfect. From the flatbreads, to the burgers and the potato skins to the lobster salad special I had the other day. I was always satisfied. If you get a seat at the bar, I hope your lucky enough to have Rohan as your bartender. The guy is a wizard when it comes to making drinks! Not to mention hes extremely down to earth and makes you fell welcomed everytime you come in. I'd recommend the espresso martini. Best martini I've ever had. (And ive had alot lol) I feel like this place is very underrated and people need to come here and need to try something different other then (Pizza Mia) (Newtown) (Emerald Rose) just to name a few. People dont like change, it's in our nature. I highly recommend this place, you wont be disappointed.

This is my favorite TITS location of the bunch. I've found that service, food quality, and ambiance…read morehere all seem to be a level above the rest. This location sets the bar. For appetizers, we usually always get the wings. They're smoked and then I believe flash fried. Always tasty and tender. The fried pickles are great, too. Having a food allergy can be tough, not here. Virtually anything can be accommodated for, and the managers bring your food over with an allergy alert. For entrees I always get the bbq chicken pizza, or the Cajun pasta. I also LOVE the buffalo mac and cheese, which can feed you for a week. The drinks are very good. The beer menu is huge. I would give this location a 10/10. Always check for see the wait prior to coming. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

The Bang Bang…read moreBroccoli was easily the highlight--honestly good enough that I briefly considered canceling my entrée and just doubling down on that. The bolognese was... fine. Not offensive, not memorable, just existing on the plate doing its job. The place was pretty packed, but somehow still calm. Lots of people, low murmur, nobody yelling over table noise--basically a small miracle. The beer list is huge, which is great if you like choices, or terrible if you're the kind of person who panics when offered more than two options. All in all, I liked it. Good atmosphere, great broccoli, and enough on the menu that I'd come back. Might even pretend it was my idea.

Place was full of regulars, families, couples, friends. Tvs everywhere, even in the bathrooms. Prices pretty reasonable for this area. It is ok the smaller side, so I would arrive slightly early if you would like good viewing of a specific game; however, there is TVs throughout the small-ish space. I ordered the cheese curds to munch on, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that they were some of the best cheese curds I've had. The breading wasn't thick like most, just an ultra thin layer. Added fresh jalapeños. And for dipping it was a ranch-styled sauce. So SO good ! I had a local, canned beer to drink. Service was good and it gave off a local/community vibe since the bartenders seemed to know who the regulars are. I will definitely be back! I typically don't drink cocktails at this sort of establishment, but the White Russian 2.0 has perked my interest. If the food is that great and it's only $13 for a cocktail... I'll be back to give it a try.
