My first time in was a few weeks ago to grab a drink with an old friend who lives in the neighborhood. Dim and divey with some sports on the tv and locals playing pool and shooting the shit. Bartender was friendly and poured a stiff G&T. I'd already eaten but they do have a food menu that includes some vegetarian/vegan options (burgers, quesadillas, totchos, salads). I walked by again on a recent evening and struck up a conversation with a couple exiting with their dog. Apparently they allow well behaved dogs inside which is exciting news to me, the mother of a small dog that suffers from separation anxiety. Came here as my friend is a semi frequent patron. I'm always up for Divey sport bars so I was in. If you're too, you'll like Pinehurst. The bar was surprisingly dead for a sport Sunday which I wonder if it has anything to do with some of these other reviews. At the same time, it was good, music not too loud, with the game on in the background with some drinks. Eventually we got some wings which were pretty good at I believe 8 for $13.50. Split a basket of fries with my buddy which were just ok. The service was ok, the bartender/server as he did both, even bringing the food over to use was alright and hopeful that I don't encounter stories from some of these other reviews that I'm sort of inclined to believe. I left this same review on Google but the situation warrants multiple posts of my review across as many platforms as possible. The situation is absolutely mind boggling. I haven't eaten here but I have been a few times and actually enjoyed my service and the bartenders that were working. Now....I unfortunately showed up when the blonde, short haired bartender was working. I don't understand the immediate hostility towards patrons. From accusing me of being someone else that she wouldn't serve....I had never seen her before ....to the racially charged comments to a woman of color who quickly left and seemed terrified. This woman should not be serving customers and will be the demise of this bar. I would absolutely come back on the day I find out she is no longer employed. She is OPENLY racist and accusatory. She continues to tell me that she wouldn't serve me because of another time she served me....I had never seen her or interacted with her before and she refused to hear it. She finally relented and served me a beer almost throwing it at me and 1/3 of it spilled on the bar as I grabbed it from falling over. She then slapped my tab down and told me that was the last beer she'd serve me. I have NO CLUE who she is or why she chose to be an a**hole to me but I promise you....after reading the reviews here .. she shouldn't be behind a bar. Absolutely trash service and attitude. Love this place!!! It's a great neighborhood pub with everything you'd want--GREAT staff (Bekkah, Ellie, and Joe are big reasons why we keep coming back), fun trivia nights, karaoke, and special events about once per month. Wide variety of rotating taps, liquor, wine, hard seltzers, and clever Jell-O shot creations. Brunch on weekends and tasty apps/ lunch/ dinner fare with a kitchen that's open late. Is in disbelief that I had to experience an unjustified situation at this mom & pops bar. It was the 1st bar I had went to when I turned 21. I'm currently 48 years old. I can't believe this bar is so racist and extremely homophobic now. The bartender, Meghan, was ok with me when I was with my (white) friends.. once they left, different story. I didn't do anything. I asked for my bill and she rudely responded I already had paid and next thing you know, I am being asked to leave. Yes I did pay the 1st bill but I remember I had opened another tab to buy my friends a shot of Jameson each, a Don Julio shot and a bottle of Modelo for myself. - which I knew I haven't paid. I didn't even finish my beer to boot. The night shift bartender came on and asked me to leave. I asked why? She responded with, "you have been asked to leave. Either you leave or I will call the cops for being disorderly" and she picked up her cell phone acting to call the cops. She didn't want to hear me or anything / explanation at all. I said, I need to pay my tab. Then Meghan was yelling in the background "you already paid your tab!"I said, "wow. Ok." and walked out. When I got home, I called the bar to ask if I may have the name of the owner or manager. The lady who answered quickly responded with "it's online" and hung up on me. This morning I checked my Navy Federal account and see that I was charged for the 2nd round of drinks separately without my signature on the receipts. I only had 1 receipt in my wallet of the 1st round that I had actually signed for. WTF?!! A small dive bar favored by the locals. Free parking can be found int he parking lot. The parking is double parked so the chances of being blocked in are high. During our visit, the bartender regularly called out cars that needed to be moved so that somebody could leave. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Pinehurst is essentially self-service. Drink and food orders are placed at the bar. The bartender only delivers ordered food items. Pinehurst offers two pool tables, pull tabs and several large screen TVs in the form of entertainment. Breakfast is served Saturday-Sunday from 9am-3pm. Menu choices are the standard pub grub fare. Pints of Manny's were $5.50. My wife and I shared the Tot-Chos for $9 (hh) + $2 up-charge for ground beef: tots topped with bacon, jalapenos, green onions, cheese, taco seasoned beef, sour cream and salsa. The tots were crispy. The bacon was plentiful and tasty. The ground beef was flavorless and a waste of money. We both picked it off and wasted it. Overall, Pinehurst is the perfect dive bar to stop into for an ice-cold beer after a long day at work. read more

They don't ID anyone so I am surprised why the Liquor Board hasn't paid them a visit. They staff does not wear masks as stated on their website. So we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon- The actual bar was fairly busy but lots of tables. We ordered a couple drinks and a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a Reuben. My Reuben was really delicious and my sister said her sandwich was good, but lacking a extra hint of flavor, just blah for her. The bartender was so friendly and took care of our drink needs always with a smile on her face. We moved to the bar when customers left and had a great time, even for Saturday day drinking. We stayed for two hours and headed home. I would totally go back to try other items on the menu, a customer ordered a salad and it looked delicious ! read more

It's become my destination pub on my way home. Staff is awesome, professional and efficient, and more importantly put up with zero crap. Regulars are cool and chill, the whole vibe is welcoming and dogs are allowed. Karaoke on Tuesdays is well-run and they get you up to sing fast. Food has improved immeasurably since new ownership, generous portions and well presented by a kitchen that knows what it's about. Drinks are strong. I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 30 years (since the Spot Too days, when there were jars of pickled pigs feet on the bar, a hot dog machine and ashtrays and a NASCAR hood hanging from the ceiling. I stopped in infrequently even though it's walking distance until now. They've really turned it into a place I can bring my friends and family to. As far as the review below, the bartender you called out for drinking is clean and sober and has been, if she flipped out on someone off I guarantee they deserved it, and I promise they had a shitty attitude and do not know how to comport themselves in a bar. I see it all the time. It seems how to behave in public is not being taught in homes anymore. Being rude to servers/bartenders makes you look like an entitled buffoon and impresses nobody. Drink, tip well, and stfu. You'll be surprised how much better your life is when people are happy to see you. read more

ZERO STARS Elizabeth was the bartender when I stopped in for a drink with my husband. I started a tab, and when I went to check out, Elizabeth could not find my credit card (???). After lamely looking around and rifling through a stack of cards, she said it may have been put in the trash (???) and she would need to look later when the bar closed. She took my name and number, thanked me for being so nice, and promised to call later. I stopped back in after having dinner nearby, with the full expectation that she would have located my card. By then, she acted totally inconvenienced by me "bothering" her to retrieve my card, which she still had not found. She again promised to call me after searching the bar. Of course she never called. I called the next day, explained the situation with my missing credit card, and was told I could call back and and speak with Elizabeth, but they didn't know when she was working next. The following day, I stopped by in person, spoke to another bartender who also could not find my card and also advised speaking with Elizabeth. She would not tell me when Elizabeth was working, so I had no idea when to call or stop back in. Meanwhile, the Pinehurst Pub charge went through on my card, and I was not offered to be reimbursed. I had to end up cancelling my credit card, which had numerous automatic payments and accounts attached to it. This is no small thing. What egregious mis-handling of customer assets! What careless and deeply inconsiderate treatment! It is a bartender's sole responsibility to take care of customers, and that includes management of payments. It's not a terribly complicated job, yet Elizabeth managed to lose my card, be totally unprofessional, AND make a crappy margarita. If management had contacted me (or even if Elizabeth had done so), I might have written it off as a 'mistakes happen' one-time event. Based on other reviews, it sounds like this type of treatment is the norm at Pinehurst Pub. STAY AWAY. Customers deserve respect, and they won't get it here. read more

I'm new to the neighborhood.... Came across this place, wanted to grab a beer after work. Service, food, atmosphere, crowd..... all top notch. Locals place, that is inviting and welcoming to new guests. Prices are reasonable..... honestly, probably cheaper then most comparable businesses in Seattle. I highly recommend this establishment. Total dive-bar vibe with good drinks and a nice selection of beers complemented by a menu of pub standards (burgers, sandwiches, a couple salad options, some breakfast choices). Bartenders are friendly and they get to know their regulars quickly, but everyone gets excellent service here. Full disclosure: I know several of the bartenders here, which is why I first started patronizing the place, and they've maintained their excellent service and friendly vibe through ownership and menu changes that might've utterly killed other bars. Gol-dang, that's a good beer and a tasty burger! I love to rate burgers but I believe it isn't fair to put them all in one bucket. How can you compare a Wagyu burger at a $$$$ steakhouse with a roadside diner? Both can be delicious on entirely different dimensions. Pinehurst is a dive bar, and I say that in the most endearing of terms, with scratch ticket bins, regulars, pool tables and country music on the juke. But let's get back to the burger. 9/10 on the dive bar scale and, just to be clear, I never award 10 because I always believe there is something better in this wide, wonderful world. I got the Caliente and it is lit, spicy, juicy, and with some surprisingly nice beef in dat middle. This would have normally been an 8 but TATER TOTS HOLY FCUK. Perfectly deep-fried, a light dash of secret herbs and spices, sweet mashed potato goodness within. Service is brilliant, not like "at your service, welcome to my hipster poser please don't shit on us on Yelp" brilliant, that's not how dive bars work. It was "how you doin'" watching her keep the bar fed and watered while she is high-fiving customers whilst relating stories about how she introduced her friends to the birds and the bees at a most tender age effing awesome. It's a decidedly local bar, not a destination spot to be sure. I've been here a few times and one of the best things here is the service. They are friendly and on top of things taking food and drink orders and checking on what you need. This is perhaps what keeps the locals coming back, that and a plentiful supply of TV's to catch the game, and every other game that's on at any given time. Here for breakfast one day, I had a chance to sample the chicken fried steak. It's a hearty meal, one which won't leave you disappointed. This start rating has nothing to do with the atmosphere or food. I am a resident who lives across the street from your bar and parks on 120th. This is the second time in the past 30 days that my car has been hit. You allow people to double park in your parking lot and have fake security cameras up. I am beginning to believe your bartenders are overserving patrons because of the damage to my vehicle and others who park in the same spot in 120th. I was made aware the new owners of Pinehurst Pub decided not to actually turn on/utilize the security cameras. If the security cameras were working, those of us who were hit and run by your patrons, would be able to see the license plate of the responsible party. I have filed police reports each time but I'm told it's up to the owners to take action. I live here and am only able to park on the street, please do something about these hit and runs, possible overserving and worthless security cameras. Please. read more
