Wow the mighty have fallen. I have used Pinehurst multiple times without issue in past. All the recent EBay reviews show company in peril with poor service, no communication and cancelling orders if the price of bullion accelerates during the long shipping process. I took a chance and regret it. 8 days after payment and items have not shipped. Two emails asking for tracking or reason for delay over their stated policy provide nothing (crickets). I now have no doubt with silver moving up they will cancel order after sitting on cash for more than a week. Interestingly the BBB reviews have changed and the FTC has offered they are looking into company and complaints. Hoping for best and glad EBay and Credit Card merchant both willing to protect purchase. UPDATE - response here but no response on EBay on order paid 10 days prior. Even under formal EBay case. Seems your Facebook offered a response back in early Jan and still not resolved ?? Perhaps an excuse ?? Why not halt future orders till you make right current clients and cash taken ?? read more

Spent over $500 on some gold . Was given no option to pick the delivery company nor an option to insure the package Pinehurst made that decision about my money . So when it was marked delivered by the usps and I never received it I am just out 500 bucks . Because Pinehurst didnt insure it nor give me an option to insure it. The usps dont give a hoot they are never at fault . What kind of half way company sells expensive coins gold and stuff and they dont insure their customers package. I paid more than it was worth why was it not insured all in the news people are stealing packages but they dont insure the customers package or give them an option cause we all would . The facts are this: On E-bay I find a great deal online through Pinehurst Coins. I made the purchase of nearly $2,000 on my credit card, along with a second purchase. I guess when Pinehurst Coins, realized the price was lower than they liked; they canceled my order without warning and stipulated it was a technical issue and they didn't have them in stock. That's odd, as I see through Wal-mart, which they sell though too, they state technical issues. Seems to me they will lie about this, to avoid fees and inconvenience the buyer, me and sure they apologize, and shift blame on technical factors, and then leave me some copy and pasted response after they messed me up. In the past they were great, but with the deception, and in no way do they wish to compensate me for any troubles caused. They say how they are sorry and want to make it right, but only rectify it by telling of a discount on a future order(s). I don't think so, you've lost my business for sure. Great! But it doesn't help with them not honoring the sale or offering a substitute, just poor business practices, as there customer relations is going South in my honest assessment of their tactics with a good deal is too good, you will most likely get what I got of an excuse. I recently purchased 6 silver proof coins from Pinehurst via eBay. The silver price went up, and 1 of the 6 was "Cancelled", even though they had the exact same coin available for more. I was then given 1 tracking # for all 5 remaining. A set of 2 arrived, but the other 3 remained missing. Ebay was "Accidently" posted with the USPS tracking # to make it appear as thought all 5 coins arrived -- even though 3 had not even shipped and never did. Because they sell with no returns, eBay insisted my coins were received. At that point I was told by Amy at Pinehurst that my remaining 3 coins were "in the queue" to ship from the West Coast... even though the eBay listing showed them as delivered and ebay basically told me I had ZERO chance to get this corrected. IMHO Pinehurst sells coins they do not yet have in stock, and when silver prices increase they use our money to buy coins and then force customers to wait... seemingly for weeks or months, and often they never arrive. Pinehurst Coins are a bunch of criminals! NEVER AGAIN!!! I had to get the $323.95 they owed me from my credit card company. Here's the facts, Pinehurst coin, has posted to see 10 oz Silver bars at a good price and me and others ordered and a few days they cancelled!!! We ordered in Good faith!! If a honest seller offer a equal replacement? BUT NO. I and others sent the in Walmart messages and they wrote it's was a Walmart mistake B/S! You posted you listing in Walmart the cost and blame Walmart, that's not true, on my order you wrote Out stock no it was not out of stock. So a few days ago 5/7 & 5/8 for 2 10-1 oz silver coins, and it's still in processing and they are waiting for Walmart to cancel as Walmart puts a time limit on their sellers to ship orders. But Pinehurst Coins is being dishonest seller now, maybe since A-Mark owns them as known to be a poor company. Went in to check the price of some items, I wasn't expecting much since the items I was selling are Silver coins that were duplicates in my collection. I was really intending on selling my entire collection to them. Not anymore. The man I spoke with was extremely disrespectful. He offered me 67.99 which is alright I asked him if he could round it to 70 so i could get some even bills. Instead of simply explaining that he could not do it or that it maybe wasn't in his companies policy, The Gentleman retorted with "OR I could round it DOWN to 60" and just stares at me. As much searching I do for silver sites I really don't know how I haven't found Pinehurst Coins before ! I've recently placed my 1st order for ten Barber dimes . Which are hard to find & when you do they are usually in the 7.00 + range each & I paid only 17.00 for 10 of them . Not only were they inexpensive but were in good shape . With what I paid I figured most would have been slicks there was only 1 that I couldn't read the date . On top of that you get free shipping on all orders with no minimum plus no taxes ! I'm not through yet the order came in 4 days . Wow Pinehurst Coins is a real gem ! For fairness this has been based on the single order which there will be more soon . They are just another shop that will try to take advantage and low ball you on product you might bring in, for their benefit. Find a reliable coin dealer and stick with them; if there is ever a problem you'll get personalized attention resolving it. You can spend very little on silver eagles, or a couple hundred dollars. We have an innocuous looking chest full of every US silver dollar coin minted. Not every mint mark, just every year. They are almost all uncirculated (some Morgans are not). Our Silver Eagles are almost all BU. We even have a set of Eisenhower proof dollars. My point? Buying BU dollars is a good place to start. Buy a 'special' when you feel like; just enjoy the hobby. Silver is a fair investment too, & something nice to pass on to a child or grandchild who shows an interest. Just don't go overboard... unless you want to. Lol. read more

I was disappointed in the way I was treated. I had some small odds and ends just sitting in my jewelry box and thought I'd see what i could get for them. The associate barely spoke to me and appeared as though I was bothering him. I felt uncomfortable during the entire process. When I smiled and asked if it was lunch time just trying to break the ice, he replied, "We don't eat lunch." I even complimented him on the lovely coins in the showcase. His answer? No response.
