Service was so comprehensive with them sorting, testing, weighing, and measuring right in front of you. Staff were very knowledgeable.

A young lady appraised my diamond and wedding band set today. I was told my S1 1.15 carrot diamond was worth $1500 when it was purchased for 5k 33 years ago. I would say this is a complete rip off and all of you should beware! i understand you have a business to run and your pricing is different from a retail store, but your statement that im upset that my diamond is not worth the purchase price is incorrect. it is worth that as i double checked multiple online sources. You folks just wanted to take advantage as your offer wasnt even close! Genuine diamonds generally appreciate at 2-3% annually while lab diamonds have declined. So you offering me less than half of what we paid 3 decades ago doesn't hold water. read more

My mother and I went in today to sell some jewelry, it was our first time here. We were greeted by Cheryl, who took excellent care of us. She took her time to explain every bit of the process as we were new to it, was very thorough and careful and we never felt pressured. Cheryl provided excellent customer service, we ended up selling some pieces, and will definitely come back in the future and recommend others to your business. Cheryl was a gem, no pun intended, and a pleasure to do business with! all for such a wonderful experience read more

Carrie spent nearly 2 hours sorting through 2 sets of flatware, lots of coins, and some miscellaneous jewelry items, letting us know pricing all the way. She explained why they couldn't take a few of the items, and why some flatware and coins were priced differently. She was very patient and thorough, and we were very pleased with the result. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I have been going to JewelRecycle in Cary for over one year and that is because of their professionalism, knowledge and fantastic service! From the moment I walk in I feel welcome and so pleased with how they examine the items I bring in and don't make me feel awkward when some of my items do not meet up to their standards. They pay great prices and I always walk out with a smile on my face. It is always a pleasant experience walking in their door. Thank you JewelRecycle! Lesley K read more

The process here is extremely straight forward and transparent. They also paid the most. They were also the most friendly. I went to several jewelry stores to sell my gold jewelry and most of them took the jewelry out of sight and came back with a number without breaking down the weight, carat, or price per ounce. Here they sit right in front of you and use a machine to test each piece's Pureness. Weigh each piece and tell you what they'll pay you individually. Depending on the amount they will give you cash or a check right there. Quick, easy, and a fair payout. read more

Penny was great. Helpful. Quick and easy. Got $ on the spot. They take broken and in good condition jewelry

This place is not an honest place and those that tell u they are is being país to day that!!!They tried to give me 2700 for 90 grams of 14k gold which is a highway robber!!!!! When i asked why so LOW the lady said: A bunch of BS and out right lied. I came back to amend my review because after speaking with the owner Todd we had a good talk and after he explained a couple of things i felt different and might have mis-understood a couple of things. This is why you can't jump the gun (me) This place is a good place to do business and Todd is an honest person and I'm a man and can admiten when i was wrong cause that is what being an adult means. He runs a Honest place of business. read more

I had a ring that had been sitting around in a home safe for years. This was a diamond ring in an outdated and ornate gold setting. The advice that I was given was to have the stone removed, appraised and sold separately. This advice had also been given to me by two other trusted professionals in the jewelry industry. I still had the 14K gold ring setting. I returned to Jewelry Recycle and was able to sell the ring at a fair price for its gold content and get cash on the spot. The process couldn't have been faster or easier. I would definitely recommend these folks and would use them again. read more

Ripoff! They Act like they give Consideration for Vintage and Diamonds: They Do Not. I presented a Vintage Princess Ring 10k White Gold, very Ornate with 1 Diamond Chip ($275), a Heavy (over 3 ozs) Italian 925 Sterling Necklace with Detailed Design ($300), and a 14k White Gold Comfort Fit Halo Ring with 1/3 Carat of Diamonds ($420). I was Expecting at Least 1/3 of the amounts listed as Those are Current Sales online for Identical items. Unfortunately they Operate Just Like a Pawn Shop and Only offered pay for the Metal Content; had they been More Honest in their Ad, we would Not have Bothered to Waste our Time. If You are Desperate, they Do Claim they Pay (Slightly) more than a Pawn Shop for the Metal Content Only...As for Us? We'll take a Look at Private Sale, Thank You. read more

Look no further for a clean, trusted place to sell your jewelry. I had a few pieces of jewelry I wanted to part ways with, and wanted to get some bang for my buck. After doing much research, I decided to go with JewelRecycle and I'm so happy I did. The store was clean and the furthest thing from sketchy. The staff knew what they were doing and walked me through each step when it came to determining how much my pieces would be worth. Melissa and Jaclyn were exceptional. I brought some old jewelry that had no meaning and some that brought me bad memories and they turned it into a check within 15 minutes. Well lit, tastefully decorated showroom. Everything done right in front of you with professionalism and top notch service. Lackluster jewelry turned into a fabulous check that will buy me the beautiful designer bag I've been eyeing for a decade now!!! Like Elsa in Frozen... This place far exceeded my expectations. The location I went to was in Saltbox Village on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary. It is a nice area and the shop itself is quite classy. It is minimal inside, as its purpose is for intake and not resell, so this is nothing like a pawn shop and there is no need for much furniture. Parking was not a problem since it is within a shopping center. On to my experience. I went in to sell a necklace, three pendants, and two rings. Ms. Jill Fletcher assisted me and she was very professional, informative, and friendly. She performed a variety of tests on my items and weighed the items right in front of me. They have fancy equipment and since everything is done in your presence, you can see the true karat of the items as well. She gave me a price quote and some of my items required additional testing and then a final offer was made. We all know that you do not ever get back what you pay for jewelry, and with my past experience of dealing with a pawn shop, I will with no hesitation say you should come here instead. I was pleased with the price I received. As for payment, they may be able to do cash up to a certain limit or they will write you a business check on the spot. I really cannot stress enough the level of professionalism I received here. Jill was very knowledgeable in her trade and was a joy to chat with. Therefore, I am also thrilled to share that her services can also be utilized for jewelry appraisals (e.g. for insurance purposes) from her business called Jill's Jewelry Appraisals. A little bit more about JewelRecycle, LLC. They buy gold, silver, platinum, and diamonds. They also buy other sources of precious metals including silverware, American coins, and antiques. These items will be recycled so you can also include earrings where you lost one of the pairs and broken pieces. There are four locations in total spanning Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Wilmington. The Raleigh location does sell some recycled jewelry pieces made by the owner from recycled metals which sounds very interesting and unique. read more

I visited the Raleigh store recently with a few odd pieces and stones. Fred Young was very helpful in offering info in regards to options for the items I brought in-both selling to him and other options. I ended up selling some at his store and holding on to others. Everything was done in full view in evaluating the items. I appreciate the info given so I could make an informed decision and liked that he wasn't just trying to make a quick buy. I would do business here again. read more

Took in a bunch of dinnerware that I thought was likely junk and ended up getting way more than I expected to get. Highly recommended!

I had 30+ pieces of gold jewelry that I no longer wore sitting around for years and decided to see what I could get for it. My husband the non-trusting and obsessive one decided that he needed to understand the gold selling process and value of our pieces before trusting that we would not be ripped off due to our ignorance. So, he bought a cheap scale from Amazon and recorded the gram weight on return address labels attached to individual tiny zip lock bags and then separated the bags by karat. Then he googled the daily Gold price by OZ, converted to $ per gram and then applied to the total grams weighed by Karat type. To get a close approximation of the Gold resale value we should expect to receive, he googled "Calculating the Cost of Gold Jewelry, Is There a Rule of Thumb?" By Calla Gold and followed through with the math based on what we were selling. Further googling gave us an idea of how much a Gold Buyer would take for their profits and cost of having the gold melted down and we decided that getting N% of the value of the gold was a fair price for both the Seller and Buyer. Again, my husband is a bit obsessive, but I have to say that interesting enough we walked in with a pretty good idea of what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised when the offer was almost $100 higher. We were also extremely impressed by JewlyRecycle's honesty when they told us that 3 of the pieces we thought were 14k were actually 18k . They use a device that accurately can read the metal composition and break down its elements so that the true Gold percentage is known. This is good for the seller and the buyer. We will absolutely do business with them again and I can't recommend them highly enough for anyone wanting to sell gold. Note - The weighing, labeling, and bagging was not necessary other than for his own piece of mind. read more

I came here to sell some old jewelry that had not been worn in years and it literally paid off. I would definitely go here instead of some other places in the area who don't truly give the value that you deserve. At JewelRecycle, they go by the current daily value of the element so there's no doubt that you're receiving top dollar for your items. Plus they give cash incentives if you reach certain buy back values. Go here first, (not the mall) you won't be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend this business! I brought in some gold and silver jewelry that was either broken or was no longer of service to me.
