Stop in at the pinehurst BBQ and steak. I ordered a Rack of BabyBack ribs alacart. He said he did not carry them anymore and he has some sort of St. Louis style rib. They were actually Baby backs like I thought. I took him to the table and came back to pay the bill, I he charged me $43.65 ‍ he straight up told me the where $22 and then he changed it to by the pound. I don't care what the other reviews say I really enjoyed this place! First thing I noticed when I walked in was the lingering smoke in the air that made it hard to see almost but let me know I was in the rite place. I ordered a potato with brisket that was smoked to perfection and freshly sliced to order. The side was amazing I was in shock at how good there food is. This restaurant has the best BBQ around. They have the greatest loaded potatoes, great Ribeye steaks and the service is top notch.

I stopped in here a few weeks ago for a take out order. The 1st thing I noticed was that their menu was larger than I expected. Besides bbq they also have steaks, chicken fried steaks, salads, baked potatoes, burgers, catfish, shrimp and a few other things. I simply got a 2 meat bbq dinner. I got a link and brisket plus 2 sides. The brisket was solid but not smoky enough for my taste. The link was good having quite a bit of spice. The bbq sauce came on the side which I prefer so I can taste the meat itself. The sauce seemed to be both tomato and vinegar based. It also had meat debris in it which I liked. Their side menu has about 10 different choices. I got the beans and veggies. The beans seemed more like pinto bean than bbq beans but add a little sauce to them and you get that perfect wangy flavor. The veggies medley was a mix of zucchini, cauliflowers, bell peppers, onion, carrots, potatoes, and broccoli. The only issue is the amount of butter. Holy crap there was more butter calories in these veggies than calories in the rest of the meal combined! The meal also came with a slice of jalapeno bread. It was a slice of Italian bread but not spicy and almost flavorless. All of this for 12.95 plus tax. It's a solid bbq place. Not stellar but serviceable read more

So bring from Orange, I typically stop by here once a year when I'm home visiting! I must say, in years past, the food was good enough to return year after year with the family. Well today was a complete let down!! The bbq sauce was way too tangy. Then I had to get the famous baked beans only to find out the beans were from a can and added ketchup to give them a different flavor, NASTY AND COLD. Brisket was overcooked with no flavor and actually tasted better without bbq sauce. Then came the dirty rice which seemed like the microwave rice in a bag. It's a dive, but the food is incredible! Had the brisket & ribs plate w/ fried okra and a salad, which they make for you to order. Arguably the best barbecue in Orange. Comfortable atmosphere with authentic wood cooked food. It has never let me down.

A friend and I were driving around trying to decide where we wanted to grab some dinner (as if there are many options to choose from in Orange, Texas), and we went to check this place out. We pulled up in an empty parking lot (granted, it was already almost 8:00 pm on a rainy Tuesday night) and debated whether we even wanted to go in after peeping through the windows and marking it off as a hole-in-the-wall, which we agreed could go drastically either way. Ultimately, we decided to give it a shot. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by the sweet, sweet smell of delicious barbecue and a couple of incredibly friendly employees behind the counter. The special was a rib-eye sandwich for $7.95, but I opted instead for a sliced beef sandwich, which I think ran about $5 or $6. They also offered plates starting around $10, as well as a kid's menu. The beef brisket, which he sliced fresh right off the slab of meat, was tender and delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was fast and courteous. I don't know why anyone would want to eat here. The staff was okay, but the food sucked. There wasn't any smoked flavor. The chicken tasted baked. The barbecue sauce was mostly vinegar. Potato salad didn't taste right, way too much mayo. The brisket was tender but didn't have any flavor at all. The staff is the only thing this place had going for it. So far Barbecue West in Lake Charles is the best barbecue I've found . I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The barbecue is very good. I have had the chicken, very tasty with just the right amount of sauce. I have also had the sliced beef sandwich and it was tender and slathered in sauce loved it. The sausage wasn't the best but still tasted okay. I prefer Beasley's sausage. Just my preference so everyone else would love the sausage. read more

Some of the best bbq in Orange. That being said, we order take-out from there at least twice a week. Always something wrong with the order. We never complained because it was just minor stuff.
