I arrived at 5pm, made my way down and they had a private event and it was busy. I go to the bar and ask for the endless wings. He said you are correct. Appreciated the answer and I left. 2 stars overall to the employee and it looked nice down there. -3 stars for not having the employees in the kitchen to keep up. Inside was really cool too, very clean and spacious. Seemed great for events. They can do a food spread for a party which looked great. Minus one star because we asked for the check, our time runs up, we hit a ball 20 seconds after the clock is up, and the manager comes out to rudely ask us to stop unless we pay for another hour.....when we explained the time literally JUST hit zero and we were actually waiting for the waitress to check us out, then he got nice again. Very odd treatment for paying customers!

While waiting for the…read morerest of our party to arrive, I sipped on a Strawberry Kiwi Nojito, which was a tad sweeter than I prefer, and shared the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The dip was pretty heavily seasoned for my liking. I thought the mini golf pricing was pretty affordable: $18 for one course, $21 for two, or $26 for all three. There are three themed courses--Illusions, Conservatory, and Art--and Conservatory was definitely my favorite! Each course also took us longer than the estimated 10-15 minutes, so we felt like we got a good amount of playtime for the price. One thing to keep in mind for larger parties: only four people can play together at a time. Since we had a group of seven, we had to split into two separate groups. Also, if mini golf isn't your specialty, don't stress! After six shots on a hole, you can move on without it hurting your score further. I also came back for the Frankenstein Bar, and they did an amazing job with the decor. It's such a fun, Instagrammable spot, especially for Halloween season. My favorite drink was the Monstrosity, a cinnamon-forward take on an Old Fashioned. Overall, Puttery DC is a fun and reasonably priced activity in Georgetown, especially if you're looking for something more interactive than just dinner and drinks. I'd definitely recommend checking out the Conservatory course!

With the manager dedicating it to memory and we had to be in the location to keep our place in line. There was no pager system. Just an honor system. Not sure how legit the process was. We came back 40min later and got our golf clubs. HH special is pretty great! BUT a bait and switch! Not very "happy" about that. Happy hour draft beer were NOT on happy hour! The menu was deceiving. It said drafts for $3. I was very excited cause that deal is probably the best in DC. When we got the bill, it was way over what we expected to pay. It turns out the fine print, which was never printed on the menu. Seated the draft beers were limited to three options. Or bartender never mentioned it. I do feel duped on that. Which worries me that the rest of the menu has other bait and switch options. To the mini golf, which is why everyone goes here. The courses were appropriate. Not too many obstacles or anything interactive. At times it got pretty crowded so there's a long wait. After drinking a few full priced beers we ended up having a lot of fun. I'm not sure how I would've felt if I paid full price for the 3 courses. I would recommend this place when it's not super crowded. And ask your bartender server to clarify the prices on everything before you order.

East Potomac is a classic mixed bag--the potential and location are incredible, but the facility is…read moredefinitely showing its age. For those unfamiliar, the complex has three setups: the 18-hole Blue Course (regulation length where you can take a cart), the 9-hole White Course (an executive mix of par 3s and 4s), and the 9-hole Red Course, which is a walking-only par-3 loop. They also have a busy two-tier driving range and plenty of flat putting areas. If you are brand new to the game and do not have your own set yet, they make it easy by letting you borrow clubs, making it a very welcoming entry point for beginners. We played the Red Course on a Saturday morning ($20/person) and ran into some serious pacing hiccups. After starting about 15 minutes past our 8:00 AM tee time, we ended up waiting on literally every hole, dragging a short 9-hole walk out to an hour and a half. The compact routing is also pretty dicey safety-wise--the tee boxes sit right next to the greens, and we nearly took stray balls to the face twice, so you really have to keep your head on a swivel. Conditions were rough around the edges with mostly flat greens, rock-hard sand in the bunkers after the previous night's rain, bird droppings all over the grounds, and a main clubhouse building that feels noticeably run-down. Despite the rough shape, the setting is hard to beat. Being right on the water at Hains Point with planes flying overhead, cyclists looping the park, and The Wharf right across the river for post-round lunch gives it a great local vibe. There has been a lot of talk and planning around major overhauls and restorations for the course through the National Park Service and National Links Trust, and it honestly desperately needs that refresh. If the planned renovations eventually bring the drainage, clubhouse, and course layouts up to standard, this place could easily become a world-class municipal gem. For now, it is a fun, casual spot for a cheap practice round as long as you know what to expect.

East Potomac has a course for everyone no matter their skill level or time commitment. They offer a 9-hole Par 3 (Red course), 9-hole (White course), and a 18-hole (Blue course) course that are all enjoyable to play and are manageable for even beginners to play. The pace of play is usually good, but on a nice day you might run into a bit of a delay (worst I've seen is about 10-15min behind). The greens and tee boxes aren't always in the best condition, but they're maintained fairly well on all three courses that it won't throw off your game. For the cost of play, it's hard to beat the value you get from playing at East Potomac. ALSO, I always forgot that they have a newly renovated mini golf course if you're looking for something a little more lighthearted to play.

The clubhouse is nice and clean, but nothing special. Beers range in price from $6-$6.50 and they do serve hot food in addition to snacks. Course: The course is beautiful and well-maintained. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition, and there are a ton of doglegs and interesting elevations which makes for some fun golf. For the nature lovers, there are a ton of birdhouse throughout the course which attracts a fair amount of different species of birds adding to the atmosphere. Difficultly wise I think it's easy enough for beginners to enjoy, but also enough of a challenge that low handicaps won't get bored. Pace of Play: We had a 4pm tee time for 18 holes on a Saturday and had no issues with pace of play. We walked the course and finished within the 4:20hr stated PoP without slowing up or feeling rushed by the groups in front/behind us. Staff: Amazing staff! Everyone from the pro-shop to the starter was friendly and helpful. We were even given bags of ice for our beers to finish the back-9. Negative: Only negative was that they did run out of hot food by the time we reached the turn (around 6pm). All-in-all, I can't wait to come back and play this course again!
