Each empanada comes with a carrot salsa, which sounded odd to me at first but was bright and refreshing, and paired really well with the meal. I tried both the sweet red and cilantro, and they complemented my arepa well. Though this was my first time trying Columbian arepas, I hope it won't be my last.
