In my experience with Pine Tree Mobile I found them to be dishonest and overpriced. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

In April 2022 I went back to AutoSound because the remote start didn't appear to be working…read moreentirely correctly. The locking and unlocking process/button worked fine but it seemed the car was turning off after me inserting the key and pressing the gas pedal to deactivate the remote as instructed. Also, I couldn't seem to get the alarm to work - I'd forgotten the "how-to." Every night I put the remote on my bedside table so I could set off the alarm and alert the neighbors to any break-in in progress. My house is very close to both my neighbors' houses, so this is an approach that could work. I've lived alone in my house for 15 years; it's definitely a safe neighborhood but there have been two attempted break-ins while I was home at night, both in 2008. Usually when someone attempts to break into your house at night they are coming for you (bodily injury), not for your stuff. Obviously that was quite a while ago but like everyone else I'm not getting younger, and so it's wise to have some preventive measures in place. Well, both issues turned out to be entirely user error (meaning my error). The first part about the car appearing to turn off after me inserting the key to deactivate the remote start was probably a result of me being in a perpetual hurry in the morning. There is an ever so slight delay between turning the key to the second position and then pressing the brake to release the remote. A less "morning-hurried" person than I would probably have never encountered the issue. Re the alarm: I'd forgotten how to activate it because I hadn't used it. There aren't any instructions (hardcopy or online) probably because the process is so simple. You make sure the car is locked, and you press and hold the locking button down. I think Jeff the manager and the techs might have been a bit bemused by all of this but they were totally wonderful, checking out my concerns and showing me in a very customer-friendly way that the remote was properly installed and working as it should. As they were reviewing the steps for the first issue with me, we all looked at the driver's side of the car and saw that the rear tire appeared to be flat. I'm not sure when that happened, perhaps on the drive to Autosound. They found a screw that had embedded itself in the tire. They graciously removed it, plugged the tire, and filled it up. The tire has been fine ever since. They didn't charge me for the visit, and they didn't charge me for fixing my tire even though that isn't something that they do as part of their routine work. They went above and beyond in customer service in every way during my April 2022 visit. I recommend them highly.

I stopped by this shop on the way home from work to get a quote for some 4 gauge power wire. I need…read more20 feet of power wire and 20 feet of ground wire for a stereo system install on a boat. They quoted me $11.20 a foot which would come out to $448 before taxes. I had an assumption that the price they quoted me was very high and chose to do some more research at home before I went back. When I got home, my jaw hit the floor. I found the retail price for a 100 foot roll of 4 gauge Stinger power wire was only $129.99 (the same brand that they carried). That is the retail price, not a wholesale/dealer price that they are getting it for. After some calculating, I discovered their mark-up on the wire is more than 870%. If they are marking up their wire 870%, I can only imagine what else they are marking up that high. Just for kicks, I called a well known shop on the West Coast named Car Toys. I asked them about the wire that Xtreme Audio was carrying (Stinger). They informed me that Stinger Audio power wire is the bottom of the barrel, and they previously used to use Stinger wire until they had customers coming back and found that the wire was corroding within the jacket. They told me that I needed to find somebody who carried Kicker or NVX wire. I asked them how much their Kicker wire was and I was informed that the very high end wire is only $2.99 a foot or $269.95 for 100 foot. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO XTREME AUDIO (Ripoff Audio) because they are marking up low grade power wire over 870% and will be referring everybody I know to go elsewhere.

So I bought some supplies to set up my audio system myself and extreme audio sold me equipment that…read morewas well over 300$ to find out later I could have bought form someone else for 100$ not only did they over sell me the equipment, they also sold me the wrong harness for my car. I had my car looked at today and had to spend $500 to fix their mistake. I also had extreme look at my set up and they said it was fine, it wasn't the other place said. Don't bother going here for any service.

I had an appointment to have a camera kit installed in my car as I was moving several states away,…read moreI pulled into the mall in my moving truck, unloaded car from tailer and went in for my appointment (30 minutes early). I was told it would probably be an hour-hour 1/2 from that time, so roughly an hour at most for install. No problem, I went into the mall and shopped around. An hour and 20 minutes later (ish) I went back and he said would be another hour or so. Great, puts me behind schedule but what can I do, so I went back it not he mall for lunch and more window shopping. An hour and 15 (ish) later I went back and it wasn't done yet, said another 30 or so then done. I went into the Best Buy and cruised around for another 45 minutes or so, went back and was told - almost done. I waited and got my car, drove it to the trailer to load back up and noticed the camera was installed using the plug in for the power outlet (cig lighter) instead of hard wired in. I went back into the install bay and he had started another car, took a minute to answer my question and told me that the camera I had could only be installed that way. I thought not was weird, but took him for his word and left. Back on the road I wads thinking about it and when I got stopped for fuel a few hours later I took a look at the box and then online, the guy had lied to me. I was pretty ticked. While back on the road I called the Geek Squad - BB customer service line and spoke to someone there who confirmed, this unit can be either hard wired or plugged in. I told her the situation and how he lied to me, she put me on hold and called the store, spoke to the tech and came back to me with his apology that he had issues with he wire harness or some BS lie, that he just got it hooked up how he could. One of the features of this camera is it will detect if someone hits it while parked and record, but in the outlet it could not as it had tho power when off - PLUS I could not use the outlet for my phone charger or whatever. She offered to get me back into the same store the next day, which wouldn't work. I expressed I was already hours away and I had a time frame to be in NC, I was already late. She booked me an appointment in Charlotte for a few days later and said they might charge. I said NOPE, no charge. I Willa argue that - she took care of it to ensure it didn't happen. I also received a call back from the manager in charge of the Portland Maine install department and we went over the issue, I expressed how being lied too was bad business, let alone just what was he doing that entire time to make it so late only o have half assed the job. The manager offered me a 250.00 gift card for my time and I said, I don't know how much longer this will take, let's talk bout it after the installation is done. In Charlotte at install, they did the job right in far less time than the clown in Portland had it and also informed me that they were guessing the guy in Portland could not get the paneling off under the dash due to the damage on it from the attempted (or successful?) removal, and had shown me the gouges and scratches. I was even more ticked. I called the Portland Manger back and expressed my displeasure at this new information, he said to get an estimate of the damage and let him know. I called him several times, no call backs. For months, called multiple times, no call backs. I finally filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau and honestly I am beyond disappointed in this location and my experience.

I was in and out quickly because they didn't have what I was looking for. A staff member asked if…read morehe could help me so I asked about the product. He let me know that the website has been updated to be more of a marketplace rather than a true representation of what's in store, which is lame. He still looked it up to see if it was in stock, though it wasn't. He was friendly and helpful, so I'm only taking off stars for the website failure.
