As a traveling Nurse i live in my car and drive about 40K miles a year through the Tri-State and need maintenance etc more often than most others. I felt my alignment was off and went to TownFair tire and they quickly discovered that one of my Control Arms was shit and this was a repair that had to be made ASAP to avoid a major cluster F while driving. I was recommended Blackman's by the TownFair folks(great guys by the way) and i headed over there 4p on a Thursday with no appt. The staff i met were so amazing nd just regular guys who happen to be experts in anything car related.....they have all been mechanics their whole lives and i had my car back and good as new in less than 36 hrs. truly amazing interactions and i feel blessed to have found these guys and will be going there exclusively for all my family and friends car needs and i highly recommend this place in case you couldn't tell!!

I think this place saved my life. Seriously, I was driving around in my 2007 Audi A4 for over a…read moreyear being exposed to exhaust /carbon monoxide. I mentioned that I smelled exhaust to my Audi dealer and they checked it and told me everything was fine. Cut to about 8 months later, when I was really dragging-so tired I couldn't do much exercise and my brain just wasn't working right. Around that time my car started sounding like a lawnmower was running inside the car. I took it to the dealer and they told me to take it to a muffler repair shop. I knew just who to see- the people at USM Discount Muffler, located near where I used to work, across from the bus terminal in Danbury. The owner (Hos) is always on the premises, supervising work and making sure customers are taken care of with a smile, 7 days a week. I called him on late Friday afternoon and he said I could bring it in the next morning, leave it overnight (I had to go out of town for the day) and pick it up on Sunday morning, no problem. Dropping the car off was easy, although the parking is a bit tight, they put my care into one of the bays and kept it there overnight for me, safe and sound. While waiting for my wife to pick me up, I watched the mechanic do work on cars, trucks, and vans. He was quite talented with his welding work, working quickly and accurately. He was a real pro. When I picked up the car the next day, the owner hoisted my car up and showed me exactly where they had cut and welded- turns out my exhaust system was much worse than I thought, but didn't need complete replacement; mainly both flex pipes coming from the engine needed replacement. The difference was immediately noticeable. No more noise from the engine, and my head felt clearer. Gradually over the next few days my energy level increased and I feel back to my old self. The shop was clean, organized. Waiting room was nothing special but clean and perfectly fine for waiting if you need to do that. Price was awesome, really good deal at only 395$ (parts and labor). Service was friendly, courteous, prompt. Quality of the work was excellent. I would definitely recommend using USM Discount Muffler for any exhaust system work. If you are driving around in a vehicle more than 5 years old, you should definitely get the people at USM Discount Muffler to check your exhaust system- it could save your life!

Just got rear brakes and rotors done for $600 which is unheard of. Aftermarket brakes with my local Mechanic would've costed $900. They are continually sending deals in the mail for oil changes and other services. Lots of great refreshments and snacks in the waiting area. After any service, they always wash your car which is a nice touch. My car was going to be out for the day. They gave me a brand new loaner car. When I say brand new, it had 73 miles on it. Competitive pricing on new and used cars. I got a used car here cheaper than Volkswagen, Ford or any of the local competitors could offer.
